Palestinians in Gaza mark start of Eid with 'no access to food'

00:00Well, the latest news is pretty terrible. It's something between anarchy and chaos.

00:06It is this very major, very important Muslim holiday where it's very important to be able to

00:12set a festive table with family. And yet it is the second day in a row and the fourth day in total

00:20that this new Israeli-based initiative, the Gaza Humanitarian Fund, has announced a cessation of

00:28operation. So it's the second day in a row that Gazans, who have barely any access to food,

00:34have now no access to food. The company or this foundation said that they were doing so because

00:42they couldn't guarantee the security of those Gazans coming to try and get urgently needed aid.

00:49And this really underscores a statement we saw yesterday from the World Health Organization

00:55basically accusing Israel of putting Gazans in a situation where they had to either risk

01:01severe malnutrition or death from starvation or death from the shootings that have surrounded

01:09these delivery facilities for this food that the Gaza Humanitarian Fund set up.
