00:00What does this mean for the black and gold?
00:02Look, man, the future of the MLS could be that.
00:04The atmosphere that we saw in that stadium, it was unmatchable.
00:08It was unbelievable.
00:09The fact that America fans were more, you know, at the LFC Stadium,
00:13I would say 60-40, I'm not going to know about that,
00:15but the supporter groups on both ends, south end and north end,
00:19they brought it, the atmosphere was crazy,
00:21the intensity of the game, not only in the field,
00:24but also on the stands was there.
00:26You know, this is a sign and this is a proof
00:28that soccer here in the United States or football,
00:31however you want to call it, is not fake.
00:33You know, it's not plastic like some people say.
00:36It's real and it's there and it exists.
00:39And you have a phenomenal fandom right here in Los Angeles with the LFC
00:43and something that can happen in every stadium in the MLS.
00:46And that's what everyone wants.
00:48But again, there's things that got to change,
00:51but, man, it was an amazing, amazing match.
00:53Chiva, I, you know, I got goosebumps when I saw the, you know,
00:59we often talk about Cherundolo not having the ability
01:02to transfer the mentality to their players.
01:05It is fair to say that this time everyone in the team
01:09did what they needed to do to win this game.
01:11The tactics were in the right spot.
01:14The players went beyond the tactics like you mentioned earlier
01:17and they show how you do you play a final game.
01:21Nick, first of all, congratulations
01:22because Galaxy got their first three points of the season.
01:26I was rooting for you to finally celebrate a weekend
01:29with the first team in the greater Los Angeles area.
01:35Nick, before we talk about that later on,
01:38what are the expectations for the MLS?
01:39We have Miami that is struggling to fill the seats
01:42in the opener for the Club World Cup.
01:44We have Seattle that, in my opinion,
01:47is a very, very strong contendent
01:48to move on to the next phase due to his group.
01:51And then we have LAFC that will have all the eyes on them
01:55because of the high profile and dramatic
01:57that his qualification, that their qualification became.
02:00So what can we expect from the MLS teams
02:03in this international tournament?
02:05I think it's a really big opportunity.
02:08Obviously, there's the obvious things on paper
02:11when you think about the opportunities of the teams
02:14that you're going to play.
02:15These European giants, teams from all around the world,
02:18there's that prestige, there's the prize money
02:20that comes with winning if you're lucky enough
02:22to get that far and win.
02:24But it's an important moment, I think, for MLS teams.
02:27And it's directly tied to what Chiba was just talking about
02:29in this match between LAFC and America.
02:32It's about showing that we are a force to reckon with
02:36in terms of other global clubs that have these big brands
02:40and these big names to them.
02:42LAFC has quickly made a name for itself in the MLS.
02:45But when you look back and you take a step back,
02:47they're a new team.
02:48How are these squads going to play
02:50against these European giants like Real Madrid
02:51and Chelsea and Manchester City?
02:54It's hard to say.
02:55But you know what?
02:56It's going to be an awesome opportunity
02:57and it's going to be fun to watch no matter what.
03:00And it's a win-win no matter what,
03:02especially given the fact that, you know,
03:03we're going to be hosting the World Cup here as well.
03:05It's going to give us some kind of window preview into that,
03:08what that would look like as well.
03:10So I think there's nothing but positivity and excitement
03:13coming from the World Cup for me when it comes to MLS teams.
03:16We have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
