00:00AC Milan had very little response to a high-pressed, disciplined, effort-based game that Bologna implemented.
00:10Pulisic was not able to do damage. Santi tampoco.
00:16It was sad to see the Rossoneri after a season that seemed to be going in an upward direction.
00:22They were doing great in Champions League. They were doing great in Serie A.
00:27But unfortunately now, the Rossoneri are empty-handed. No Scudetto, no Champions League, no Europa League, no qualification,
00:35and a lot of questions for this team that has a solid team with a lot of money invested in it.
00:42And they were not able to break the lock that Italiano, this up-and-coming coach, the most underrated coach in Serie A, was able to present.
00:53But Bologna, excellent in every line. They were strong in attack. They were disciplined in the midfield.
01:00They were aggressive on the defensive side. A worthy winner of this Coppa Italia.
01:06Now, let's talk about more European soccer. And for that, we are going all the way to the Slavic region of Europe with our own Nick C.
01:16How are you, my friend?
01:19Yes, that's right, Modeste. Glad to be with you guys. Last week, it was Rome-Italy.
01:23This week, continuing the European coverage from Belgrade-Serbia.
01:28Excellent. Now, tell me, what is going on in La Liga?
01:31I know Barcelona and Real Madrid had an electrifying game.
01:36But Barcelona seem to have the number of Real Madrid for this season.
01:40And we've got to talk about Spain, though, because it's been a crazy week in La Liga.
01:43A thrilling El Clásico, significant managerial changes, and of course, the question arising,
01:48can we be on the edge of it? A dawn of a new era for Barcelona.
01:53Well, let's start here. This past Sunday, Barcelona hosting Real Madrid in a pivotal El Clásico,
01:58effectively determining La Liga titles.
02:00Barcelona triumphed 4-3 with standout performances by none other than Laminia Mall, as well as Rafinha.
02:07Now, despite a hat-trick from Kylian Mbappe, despite referees playing a little role in this,
02:14ruling two handball calls in favor of Madrid, one which actually disallowed a goal by Barcelona,
02:21Real Madrid couldn't secure the win, leaving Barcelona seven points clear at the top,
02:25with only two matches remaining, of course, clinching their 28th La Liga title.
02:30Love to see it.
02:31Now, following the title deciding loss, Carlo Ancelotti announced his departure from Real Madrid.
02:37Now, for Madrid, we all know it was a particularly challenging year in matches against their arch-rivals, Barcelona.
02:43Real suffered from consecutive defeats in El Clásico encounters.
02:47Now, despite this tough year, we have to say Ancelotti, his amazing career,
02:52his illustrious record is not going to be overshadowed by this last year.
02:55Now, the first manager to capture titles in each of Europe's top five leagues, England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France.
03:03His silverware at Madrid includes three Champions League titles, two Club World Cups, three European Super Cups,
03:10two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, two Spanish Super Cups, and one Intercontinental Cup.
03:16Now, the Italian manager will take over as head coach of the Brazil national team at the end of the month, ahead of the World Cup.
03:23Which begs the question, who's going to fill his shoes?
03:25Well, we're going to see former Real Madrid midfielder Xavi Alonso coming in.
03:29Alonso leaves Bayern Leverkusen after a successful stint, having led them to an undefeated Bundesliga title.
03:36He's set to begin his three-year contract with Real Madrid on June 1st,
03:40right ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup, right in the United States.
03:44Now, Alonso played for Real from 2009 to 2014.
03:48We'll have to see what he does.
03:49I mean, what strategic moves Xavi will bring to rejuvenate Real Madrid's playing style and their competitiveness.
03:56But let's go back to Barca for a second.
03:57Their recent successes signal a resurgence under manager Hansi Flick.
04:01They got this blend of experienced players and emerging talents like Luminium All.
04:06Now, the club appears poised for sustained dominance as they celebrate their latest Liga triumph.
04:10The question is, could this be the beginning for a new golden era for Barcelona?
