Thousands march in Jerusalem LGBTQ pride parade

Thousands gather on June 5, 2025 in Jerusalem for the annual LGBTQ pride parade. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Shira Banki's death. Shira was one of six people at the 2015 pride parade who were stabbed by Yishai Schlissel, an ultra-Orthodox extremist who had recently been released from prison where he was serving term for committing a similar attack in 2005. Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid spoke at the small rally before the march began and said that no one can tell the people who to love.
