Pride Parade takes place in Seoul for the 26th Queer Culture Festival
Tens of thousands of LGBTQ South Koreans and supporters gathered in central Seoul for annual Pride celebrations, with a central government agency represented for the first time. The Pride Parade was organized for the 26th Seoul Queer Culture Festival held from June 1 to June 22. Same-sex marriage remains unrecognized in Asia's fourth-largest economy and activists have long emphasized the need for legislation outlawing discrimination based on of sexual orientation.
