00:00Let me also take you through the details of the very stampede that took place and the action that's been taking place for the last 24 hours.
00:06Hours after the Bengaluru cops booked RCB, Cricket Association and the event organisers under various charges,
00:13which includes culpable homicide, not amounting to murder and negligence.
00:17State government led by Sidra Maya has gone a step further and has suspended the top level police officers, including the CP.
00:24Now, the government has also suspended Commissioner of Police and seven others for negligence and acting irresponsibly.
00:32After making the cops the scapegoat, Sidra Maya government also said that it will go after RCB,
00:38as we now see the entire results panning out and the event organisers as well as the state cricket organisation
00:44and will be arresting their representatives for the tragedy soon.
00:49Now, RCB marketing head Nikhil Sasale has already been arrested
00:52and the cops are also after the Karnataka Cricket Association Secretary Shankar and Treasurer Jairam.
00:59But both of them seem to be absconding at this point of time.
01:03Meanwhile, the government has ordered a separate probe headed by former High Court judge.
01:08One-man commission headed by Justice Michael D. Kuna will submit its report in a month's time.
01:15Now, the Sidra Maya government has also transferred the stampede probe to the CID, is what we are learning.
01:22A few former Bangalore City police commissioners like me had an impromptu telephonic conversation
01:32and were aghast and furious at the action taken by the government in placing Mr. Dayanand,
01:40the incumbent police commissioner, under suspension.
01:43The city and the police personnel of Bangalore City are in shock that how is it that police commissioner can be placed under suspension.
01:54We appeal that this order should be taken back and let sanity prevail and the police commissioner is an extremely trusted officer of the government.
02:05It only indicates that the government itself has failed if the police commissioner is placed under suspension.
02:13Now, viewers, it doesn't end there. Politics over the stadium stampede continues to escalate.
02:19Seamanth Kumar has taken charge as the new commissioner of the Bengaluru City Police.
02:24Now, the BJP has also attacked the Congress Party for making top-level cops the scapegoat.
02:30Leader of Opposition in Karnataka, R. Ashoka, has hit out at the Sidra Maya government,
02:34saying that how can cops who were praised for their job only a few days ago can be suspended with immediate effect?
02:43The BJP has also demanded answers from the Congress' high command on this matter.
02:47However, the Congress Party seems defiant and has accused BJP of playing politics over dead bodies.
02:54The Sidra Maya government has also said that with this incident, Bengaluru's image has taken a hit.
02:59But they're not blaming others. It has also claimed that it will let law take its own course.
03:05Remember, BJP has called the Sidra Maya government heartless and has even accused it of orchestrating the tragedy.
03:11Hitting out at the complete governance failure, it has called for chief minister and deputy chief minister's resignation as well.
03:20These are the politics that has been developing.
