Karnataka government submitted status report on Chinnaswamy Stadium stampede in Bengaluru, which claimed 11 lives and injured over 50 people. The report submitted to high court points to serious lapses and mismanagement by Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) franchise. Event organiser DNA and RCB proceeded with victory parade without police permission, says report. Despite denial of permission, RCB promoted the event on social media, including Virat Kohli’s video appeal encouraging fans to attend. State government claims RCB, DNA, and KSCA failed to coordinate effectively, leading to the stampede.
