00:00Every single time someone watches this video, it helps feed someone in need.
00:03And since we get a lot of views, I brought a lot of people.
00:07Here you go.
00:08Thank you, thank you.
00:09No problem.
00:10And if you're wondering how this works, every time someone watches this entire video, including you right now, money is generated.
00:18And as this video grows, that increasing amount of money will feed an astonishing amount of people.
00:23Everybody eats.
00:24But that's not all it's going to do.
00:25Please, daddy.
00:26You watching this video will supply farmland, build massive kitchens, fill schools with food for their students, and save children from child labor.
00:35Honestly, I'm glad you're here.
00:37There you go.
00:381,500 people have now been fed.
00:40I'm very excited for the future.
00:42And because of our meal program, the school attendance skyrocketed.
00:46So it only made sense to upgrade their classrooms.
00:48They have so few desks at the school that some students literally have to sit on rocks.
00:52I assume you're not supposed to put four kids on one of these.
00:55Of course, this is only supposed to take two kids, not four.
00:58Can you ask them if they'd like new desks?
01:02I'll be right back then.
01:04Bring it on in!
01:06We got some new desks for everybody.
01:08And now, even with all these new students, everyone has a place to sit.
01:12I'm not happy they are.
01:14Let's get down on it.
01:16I love this video.
01:17This really puts into perspective the things we take for granted in America and Europe.
01:23Like, something as simple as a new desk for their school so they don't have to sit on rocks.
01:29It's literally making their week.
01:31No problem.
01:31This means a lot.
01:32All right, thanks for the help, guys.
01:34They're carrying all the way right now.
01:37You ready for your new desks?
01:38Yeah!
01:39Yeah?
01:40Obviously, they can't feed all these kids breakfast and lunch every school day with this kitchen.
01:46Which is why we built this brand new kitchen.
01:49And on top of revamping the school, we also dug a well here with water storage, plus a greenhouse and, pan the camera, a farm.
01:57We are hooking this school up with everything they need.
02:00And for the influx of students at neighboring schools, we're partnering with massive farms like this one!
02:09And this is Justice.
02:10He runs the farm.
02:11Welcome to Olalisha Farm.
02:13We have two parts of the farm.
02:14One part of the farm goes directly to the schools, and the other part of the farm, we specifically grow to sell to nearby communities, which helps to keep the non-profit going.
02:23And because right now, these farms are using manual labor, which is not efficient enough to produce as much food as the schools need.
02:30We brought you a brand new tractor!
02:32No way.
02:32Now, instead of people doing manual work like this, they can instead just use this tractor.
02:36What previously took 45 minutes will now just take 45 seconds.
02:41This tractor is more important than you may realize.
02:43Just because we're taking the money from all the views on this video and giving it to school meal programs, doesn't mean food just magically spawns out of thin air.
02:51The food has to come from somewhere, and in this case, it's coming from the increased yield on this tractor across this massive farm.
02:57And to be sure this food reaches as many families as possible, we've got a special surprise for this school.
03:03Everyone, come over here.
03:04Here are the keys to your brand new truck for the community.
03:08Congratulations.
03:09What?
03:09I want you to use this to feed all the community.
03:13Thank you so much.
03:14We have a new truck.
03:16This truck will enable the school to provide excess meals to families all over the community.
03:21And inside of your guys' brand new truck is enough food for over 100,000 meals.
03:27The community was so thankful they gifted me a goat.
03:31I have a goat now.
03:32And if you thought 100,000 meals was a lie, by the end of this video, because of your view, we will be giving away a million meals.
03:40That's good now for you.
03:41Let's head over to Ghana, where we also funded the construction of not just another kitchen and water tank, but also a new farm for a local school.
03:49The cabbage we're planting here in around two and a half months will look like this.
03:53We can feed the students just from this small cabbage farm.
03:55But unlike this farm, the millions of others all across Ghana don't share such a positive story.
04:00It's a farming community.
04:02Most of the parents are cocoa farmers.
04:04And sadly, the children are as well, playing a crucial role in generating their family's income.
04:09Four out of five of your students, before they enrolled to this school, worked on a cacao farm.
04:14And now, instead of working on a cocoa farm, they're getting an education just because we're giving them a free meal.
04:19This food is increasing our enrollment, bringing their kids to school, and they are still in school too.
04:24And we found another way to help kids stay in school.
04:27These are their brand new cows.
04:29We bought dozens of pairs of animals that we're going to be gifting to these families.
04:33And with that extra income, they'll be able to send their kids to school as opposed to having them work on farms.
04:37Tomorrow will be their first day of school?
04:39Yes.
04:39Congrats.
04:40All right.
04:40And with so many animals to give away, I had to rely on Tariq for help, which was a mistake.
04:46Tariq, bring out the next ten goats at the same time.
04:49Oh, man.
04:49That's a lot of goats.
04:50That's a lot of goats.
04:51Come on, goats.
04:52Come on.
04:52Come on.
04:52Here we go.
04:53Oh, whoa, whoa, whoa.
04:53Wait.
04:54Oh, whoa.
04:55Oh, whoa.
04:55Oh, whoa.
04:56Somebody get the goats.
04:57All right.
04:58Tariq.
04:59Tariq.
04:59They got away.
05:00Tariq, you're fired.
05:03Congrats on your brand new goat.
05:05And I know the perfect way to celebrate our time in Ghana.
05:08Have you guys had chocolate?
05:09Tell me what you guys think of it.
05:11No problem.
05:12Do you like the taste of it?
05:15Do you guys want to see the drone?
05:18If you look up, you can see yourself on the camera.
05:20It's sad, but 45% of children that live in cacao farming households in Ghana work in illegal
05:34child labor.
05:35So to fight this at Feastables, we are working with the farmers to establish child labor monitoring
05:39and remediation systems to get the kids out of child labor and into school.
05:43It's been our prayer that we have school feeding for Allenness, and now we have it.
05:48So we thank you so much, and we hope that this will continue for years.
05:52I hope forever.
05:53And now that these families in Ghana have enough to eat, back in the United States, ending hunger
05:57requires solving a completely different problem.
06:00Believe it or not, America produces so much food that almost 40% of it simply gets thrown
06:04away.
06:05But if we could preserve just 10% of that, we could theoretically end hunger in the United
06:09States.
06:10And that brings us to the Philadelphia Wholesale Produce Market.
06:13One of the largest food marketplaces in America.
06:16Where every year, up to 10 million pounds of unsold food is at risk of going to waste.
06:22Which is where Evan and his non-profit, Sharing Excess, come in.
06:26If they don't have a place to sell it, it's the easiest option to throw it away.
06:29Let's take these potatoes, for example.
06:31Some retailer might be like, hey, if they're within one month of expiring, we don't want
06:35it.
06:35But instead, you're like, yo, why not give it to people who are starving?
06:38That's right.
06:39It's a no-brainer.
06:39So Evan and his organization, Sharing Excess, collect millions of pounds of food that, for
06:44silly reasons, would have been thrown away.
06:46What are we looking for?
06:47This looks good.
06:48That looks good, so we're going to put it in the good box.
06:50Okay.
06:50This one, this one looks a little not good.
06:53Not so good.
06:54Throw it in the bin.
06:54Okay.
06:55And that's all you do?
06:56Yeah.
06:57If we make it more complicated, people wouldn't do it.
06:59Wait, Tariq, why is your pepper so small?
07:02I think I got the biggest pepper out of the boys.
07:04Everyone knows what you do with your pepper.
07:06Wait, your pepper's deformed, Nolan.
07:07It's like curly.
07:08Wait, yo, the boys wish they had a pepper this big.
07:12All this food is just what's been donated today from this building.
07:16And there's even more out there.
07:17Just we need more trucks to be able to pick up all of the food that's actually available.
07:22This market and others like it have so much food that even the sharing excess organization can't distribute it all before it goes bad.
07:29But with just one more truck, they could rescue up to 7 million pounds of additional food every year.
07:35And maybe you can see where this is going, but I made sure Evan couldn't.
07:38As I led him to the surprise that I had prepared for him.
07:41Evan, take off your blindfold and turn around.
07:44And again, just by watching this video, you're helping us give more money to sharing excess so that they can continue to fill this truck with food for years to come.
07:58But let me show you what just one day with an additional food truck looks like.
08:02Starting with supplying the Double Trellis food kitchen where they cook gourmet meals for the needy every day.
08:08Everything you see here would have been thrown away.
08:10But now it is a gourmet meal going to someone in need.
08:13This is crazy.
08:14And while the meals we cooked fed 600 people, our one truck still had thousands of pounds of fresh produce to stock multiple community fridges, hand out directly to people on the streets, and even host our own food drive in North Carolina where hundreds of people were in need of nutritious food.
08:34And you can help too with the help of DoorDash.
08:36By watching this video right now, you're helping feed someone in need.
08:39And for a limited time, if you purchase this hoodie available exclusively at Dash Mart on DoorDash, you're going to help to donate 100 meals like this to people in need.
08:48Want some meals for you?
08:49I appreciate it.
08:49Of course.
08:50I'm noticing Evan's putting his Sharing Excess branding over the DoorDash hoodies.
08:54All right, here we go.
08:55Yeah, yeah, yeah.
08:56Oh, there he is.
08:57Sorry, I had to pause the food drive to settle that.
08:59Do you need a hat?
09:01Scan the QR code or click the link in the description to purchase our hoodie on DoorDash now.
09:06Guys, let's help as many people in need as possible.
09:08DoorDash's Project Dash, in just a few years, has helped to deliver over a hundred million meals.
09:14All of this food would have been thrown away.
09:16Isn't that crazy?
09:17Hey, do you watch the videos?
09:19Yeah.
09:20Do you know his name?
09:21No.
09:22She took a picture of him.
09:24Hey, neither do we.
09:25Once the food drive was over, I still had two more surprises for Evan.
09:28Evan, I have two checks for you.
09:30First, to get us to a million meals, here's a check for 600,000 meals.
09:35Oh, my God.
09:36Before the video goes up, we said we'd do a million meals.
09:38I need you to do 600,000 of them.
09:40We're on it.
09:40And then after the video goes up, I don't know yet.
09:43It depends how many of them watch the video.
09:45So here's a blank check.
09:46And as they watch the video, I will fill it in so you can keep feeding people in need.
09:51Oh, my God.
09:52Guys, please watch this video.
09:54We can provide so much food.
09:56The dollar amount written here is up to you guys.
09:58Not only did DoorDash step up to help fund these meals, but so did a gentleman named Tony Robbins, who has a message for you guys.
10:05What you're doing is so important.
10:07Every view you watch is going to bring more meals.
10:09So I'm going to commit 10 million meals to you, matching funds for anybody who wants to join me here.
10:14Let's really do everything we can to get as many people helped as possible.
10:17Make sure you share this video with your friends because of Tony Robbins and DoorDash, every 20 views equals a meal to someone in need.
10:23Let's share this.
