01:09told a press conference held by MCA Public Services

01:12and Complaints Department Head Datuk Sri Michael Chong on Thursday

01:16that he continued to make more payments,

01:19including paying to fly in doctors who would monitor him

01:22to ensure that the baby would be born healthy.

01:26In total, Tan parted with RM161,000 to the scammers

01:31before finally deciding to call off the deal,

01:35without even meeting the woman or so-called lawyer in person.

01:39Chong expressed disappointment with Tan for being so gullible

01:42and falling for what was an outright scam.
