00:00If your ninja wood fire says it's smoking, but the pellets aren't moving or there's no smoke at all, here's what to check.

00:07Step 1. Make sure you've selected a smoke-enabled mode.

00:10The pellet system only runs in smoke, grill plus smoke, roast plus smoke, and bake plus smoke modes.

00:16If you're using plain grill or air crisp, it won't use pellets.

00:20Step 2. Check that the smoke box is seated correctly.

00:23If the smoke box isn't fully inserted and locked down, pellets won't feed.

00:27Remove it, check for debris underneath, and reinsert until it clicks into place.

00:32Step 3. Look for leftover ash blocking the auger.

00:36If pellets from the last cook didn't burn fully, ash can build up and stop the feed.

00:40Let the unit cool, then empty the smoke box and inspect the auger slot for clogs.

00:45Step 4. Avoid moist or clumped pellets.
