00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Thursday morning. If you are stepping out
00:04first thing you may get wet. There's some rain around. Let's pick up on some detail. Well the
00:09rain's been moving in from the west overnight. We could see the odd heavier pulse as well. Wales,
00:13the west country, central southern England towards the southeast. Some showery bursts and the rain
00:18through this morning will clear Northern Ireland but some showers will follow. Now towards the east
00:22it's a bit of a cloudy morning. The odd spot of two of rain can't be ruled out but all of this
00:26is moving eastwards. It does mean a bright start to the day north of Newcastle and certainly for
00:32places such as Montrose, Aberdeen, Dundee you'll see some fine weather even for the Murray Firth.
00:37One or two showers but also some sunshine. The winds aren't as strong today across the northwest of
00:42Scotland but still those showers move in. So through the morning this bulk of clouds and outbreaks of
00:49rain continue their passage eastwards. The winds will be a feature towards the south as well as
00:54Irish Sea coast you could see a bit of a brisk breeze here and the rain could pep up for a time.
00:59Clipping southern counties of Scotland towards the east as well as Scotland through the afternoon
01:04with sunshine and showers to follow. But the showers could be heavy with the risk of
01:07thunder through the day and the rain never too far away as we head through into evening time across
01:12the south coast. Temperatures then around 14 or 15 across Scotland and Northern Ireland,
01:1717 to 19 across more southern and central parts of England and Wales. East coast seeing 15 to 17.
01:24You'll see that rain there as we head through into the afternoon. Through evening time many areas
01:29seeing some dry weather as the rain recedes from the far south of England. Showers continue across
01:35the north as well as the west. A few trundle in across North Wales, Northern England as well as
01:39the west country but into Friday certainly a better start to the day. We'll see some fine weather,
01:44some sunshine, any showers tracking towards the east quite quickly. Through the afternoon those showers
01:49will continue to develop particularly across northern and eastern areas. Further west though you'll see
01:54some brighter weather if not some sunshine. Showers for Northern Ireland and these could be heavy towards
01:59the south as well as the east of England. And temperatures coming in around 15 to 19 degrees
02:04Celsius. So slightly warmer in the north than today and further south. Temperatures probably a degree
02:11higher as well. So that's a picture on Friday. Through Saturday things ramp up. Another system tracks in
02:18from the Atlantic so the weather remains relatively mobile. It will bring with it showery bursts of rain,
02:24some heavy showers at that extending across Northern Ireland. Much of Scotland, certainly England and
02:29Wales seeing those heavy showers with the risk of thunder. Now they'll be slow moving across the centre of the
02:33low so Northern Ireland, Southern Scotland but fairly fast moving further south as well as east. But look
02:39at these winds. A strong wind across the south coast as well as Irish sea coasts here. So a lively day across
02:45many parts and then we'll see some quieter weather move in as we head through to Sunday. So Sunday's looking
02:51like the better day of the week if you want dry and fine weather. Still some showers around but certainly
02:57it will feel better as temperatures arrive around 16 to 19 20 degrees Celsius. I'll see you later.
