12:55between Bonaberry and Bonamusadi,
12:58precisely around the area known as Terminus Bar.
13:01Upon receiving this information,
13:03investigations were opened and two of the suspects,
13:06Ericum Blami and Ngebe Tadaze Blaise,
13:09were arrested in an unidentified vehicle
13:11in possession of 3.6 million CFA francs' counterfeit banknotes.
13:16After further investigations,
13:18the last suspect, Cornel Nongong,
13:20was also arrested, having in hand
13:22another batch of counterfeit currency
13:24worth 3.6 million francs.
13:26A search was immediately carried out at his home,
13:29an action that enabled the police
13:31to seize another batch of 5.1 million francs
13:34buried in a pack of sanitary towels in his bedroom.
13:37The total amount seized during this operation
13:39amounts to 8,760,000 CFA francs.
13:44When questioned about the origin of the counterfeit money,
13:47the suspects revealed that the banknotes came from Nigeria,
13:50a service requisition was sent to the regional director of Bayak Indwala
13:53for an expert appraisal of these banknotes.
13:56After the appraisal,
13:57it appears that the banknotes are indeed fake.
