A 78-year-old man survived nearly 24 hours trapped in his vehicle after it crashed down a 30-meter slope in Balik Pulau.

Teh Seng Keat disappeared on Thursday (May 29) evening while driving home from Batu Lanchang, prompting a family search effort.

After he called his wife on Friday (May 30) morning saying his car was stuck in a ditch, relatives used phone tracking to locate him near Jalan Baru.

00:31The ordeal began when Tay left a relative's home in Batu Lanchang at 5.30 p.m. on Thursday

00:41His family launched a search after he called his wife on Friday morning, explaining that
00:46his car had fallen into a ditch and he couldn't find his way back to the road.
00:51His family immediately began tracking his mobile phone signal, which led them to the Jalanbaru

00:59Emergency services discovered his car around 3.30 p.m. on Friday after it had veered off
