Man killed after car plunges into 30m-deep ravine in Sabah

A man was killed while three others were injured in separate accidents around Kota Kinabalu city on Saturday (Sept 28) night.  In the first mishap close to the city, a man was killed after he was pinned in a wrecked four-wheel-drive vehicle while another sustained injuries after being thrown out of the car that fell into a ravine.  In another mishap, two people were hurt after they crashed into a signboard post along Jalan Lintas at around 11.30pm. 00:20Sabah State Fire and Rescue Department officials said the vehicle had plunged into a 30-meter

00:26deep ravine at the Bukit Kopunggit vantage point, along Jalan Bukit Perwira, at about

00:3210 p.m.

00:33They later identified the deceased as Bianus Asai and the injured man as 62-year-old Jenel

00:39Lopedi.

00:40Bianus was declared dead at the scene, while Jenel was rushed to the hospital for emergency

00:45treatment.

00:46In another mishap, two people were hurt after they crashed into a signboard post along Jalan

00:52Lintas at around 11.30 p.m.

00:55One of the victims has been identified as 28-year-old Nuraissa Sally, while details

01:00of the other person were not retrieved by firemen.

01:03Both injured victims were sent to the hospital for treatment.
