00:00Knicks last night, 111-94. They forced the game six against the Pacers. Big nights all around, especially Jalen Brunson. 32 points for him. He hit four threes, five boards, five assists. Early and often for Brunson on TNT last night.
00:17Referee Josh Tibbet, our umpire James Williams, 52 combined seasons for our officiating crew with an early two from Brunson. Both teams have put up. Can anyone stop the other team? Kneesmith on Brunson. He and Leon Rose have done a great job turning this franchise around. Brunson into Kneesmith. And Jalen Brunson.
00:45And take it the other way. Under three to play in the third. Brunson with a three. And the foul. And the foul. 29 for Jalen Brunson.
00:56Yeah, I hope Reggie enjoyed the game. So Brunson came out lit on fire and set the tone. I thought the difference for me in the game was Josh the dog heart with the double-double to 12 and a 10 rebounds, three turnovers.
01:14I thought he played his ass off, played at a different speed, a different level. Intensity-wise, if they're going to have a shot, you know, tomorrow night at the field house in Indy, he's got to play like that.
01:27And I think Robinson has to play like that. I think Ananobi has to play like that. I think Bridges has to play like that. Because those are the guys, in my opinion, that are capable of playing defense.
01:41I think Towns is horrible defensively. He's a foul waiting to happen. He just fouls people.
01:49And then I think Brunson's weak defensively as well. He's not the same player in these big games on the road. They've looked good on the road. They didn't look good the other night.
02:02I don't think he plays D. And he gets in foul trouble and then they attack him and it only gets worse. I think the key for the Knicks tomorrow night is foul trouble.
02:11They got to stay out of foul trouble. Saturday night, they cannot have, and I mean it, like I can't have Landry Shamit out there for more than five minutes.
02:21I can't have all these guys that don't play. Like, honestly, I think Wright's sloppy. He had that great steal, missed the layup. Like, it's embarrassing.
02:31So I think they have to play smarter. They can't turn the ball over and they can't commit stupid, cheap fouls.
02:38If you're going to foul somebody, make it count.
02:42I know, but the bizarre thing is, is that the two games in this series where they, those guys actually got burned are the games they won.
02:50I mean, Shamit played 14 minutes last night, right again, 10 minutes, just like in game three.
02:56I won't deny he made a difference, but he, you know, let's face facts.
03:00They have to play him based on how they don't have the depth to run with this team.
03:07They cannot send their five out to go toe-to-toe with their 10.
03:12They got two sets of five. We got one set of five and some stragglers.
03:17They have to play Shamit. They have to play Wright.
03:21And I think they're, I think Shamit played way better than Wright.
03:25Wright, you know, missing bunnies. You steal the ball on an inbounds pass.
03:29You got to make the layup. It's embarrassing.
03:31So, Shamit's hitting threes and getting steals.
03:37I thought his play on the end line was great on McConnell.
03:41So, play like that, I don't have a problem with it.
03:43But I don't need him out there for more than, you know, in, frankly, five to seven minutes.
03:48That's it. I need him to spell people, not to play because everyone's in foul trouble.
03:52So, you know, I don't need him to spell people.
