00:00First of the GC contenders to cross the line, has it been an easier stage to deal with than what you expected?
00:11As a team, we try to be always there. I mean, the guys are amazing.
00:16Without two guys, we're still being so strong and always the big guys are trying me to pass all the confidence that they can.
00:24For me, it's incredible. It's the less that I can do for them. I cannot believe it.
00:29Now, again, I realized, like, I'm this guy and I cannot believe it. It's so big feeling and so big, to be honest.
00:39Tell us about your feelings and your conditions, the two times that Richard Carapaz attacked you.
00:45Yeah, I mean, the first time I think was from Pelizzari also.
00:49I don't remember well, but I think it was something like this. I think it was quite early with the other climb coming.
00:57But I just tried to react. I see a little bit Simon. Simon saw me a little bit and we said, like, who go, no?
01:04And I went. And then Rafa comes also.
01:08And, yeah, then he kept trying as we think a little bit in the team.
01:13And, of course, in the last climb he tried harder and with all the speed he can because it was not so steep.
01:20And, yeah, I have the legs to be with him also.
01:23And just, I mean, if today we play more, like, to secure the bonus on crash and all this, I cannot take more risk now.
01:31But it was incredible, to be honest, today.
01:34Yesterday, even the president of your country encouraged you in her daily message.
01:41Are you driven by all the support you are getting?
01:45It's amazing. I cannot believe it, to be honest.
01:48All the people in my country now start to see the sport and how hard it is.
01:52And it's just incredible.
01:53I think we are coming a little bit, step by step, but now it's incredible, this feeling.
02:01And I cannot believe it's I'm the guy who represents their country.
02:04They need to send another one better, I think.
02:07One more stage to go.
02:09Yeah.
02:10Are you confident? A bit scared?
02:12No, I don't know. The same as I said before.
02:15I think I have the same chances to win than before the Giro.
02:18And I just want to be easy, normal guy.
02:22And as I said yesterday, big dinner, Nutella in the morning and we go again.
02:28Muchisimas gracias.
02:28Gracias.
02:29Isak, tomorrow you will start the decisive stage of the Giro with the pink jersey.
02:35Is it something that can give you an extra motivation to try to keep it in the end?
02:41No, it's the same thing every day.
02:45Next question.
02:48Can you explain your logic to think like that?
02:53You just want to stay calm and relaxed and controlled?
02:57About today or about everything?
03:00No, I think like we will live like almost the same time today.
03:05The teams for sure they will try and as a team we need to be together to be up there always.
03:11And also just be attentive with the good guys and always be smart with the movements and all this.
03:19And also I need to be up there with the top guys.
03:23It was quite good.
03:25Today I'll be able to follow after a hard stage and also the different attacks that the guys did.
03:33Were you surprised that more attacks didn't come earlier on in the stage today?
03:45If I am surprised?
03:50At the first moment, to be honest, yes.
03:52But then with the wind, some of the climbs are half headwind and half tailwind.
03:57And then probably this makes like the...
04:00I mean, if you go solo quite far, it's half headwind, no?
04:04It's half of 50k headwind or something.
04:07And for sure it is you can pay, you know?
04:09And we probably...
04:11That's why some of the riders don't want to try so far.
04:15But also at the end, I think in the last climb, we are not a lot of riders.
04:20And then you can see the damage of the whole days, whole weeks.
04:24And also that was not an easy day in the bunch also.
04:28But now it was quite a good day for us as a team.
04:32And I cannot believe I did, again, a good performance.
04:36I do this just for the guys in the team that work super hard for me.
04:40And yeah, this is the less that I can do for them.
04:42It's incredible.
04:44Press room, stop up.
04:47Isaac, was it more the wind or was it a good work of your teammates
04:52that prevented the attacks that there were so few attacks?
04:58For me, I think it was more about the...
05:02To be calm in the future, maybe.
05:04Because the other day when I crack, I don't know what I did wrong
05:07or what I did good.
05:08But at the end, I was not there.
05:11And for sure was not the best for me.
05:16And today I take a little bit...
05:18Not confident, but I feel more secure about the future, no?
05:23In these biggest stages.
05:24But yeah, it was, I think, a hard day for everybody.
05:27And it was super nice to have these teammates around me,
05:31always super good.
05:32And yeah, be up there with them is amazing.
05:35Press room.
05:39For tomorrow in Finestre, I don't know if you do remember
05:42the historical stage of Chris Fromm there.
05:46Yeah, I see this stage quite, I don't know,
05:50quite a lot of time before.
05:51But yeah, it's an amazing stage, for sure.
05:57It will be magical for me.
05:59And yeah, we will see how it is tomorrow, I think.
06:03Premier.
06:03Hi, Isaac.
06:07Obviously, we saw your team working really hard most of the day,
06:10but there were points where Visma came to the front.
06:12Do you know why they were doing that?
06:14Like, were they upping the pace at all?
06:15Was it going faster?
06:17Probably because they want to make me suffer.
06:20I think the last day I cracked,
06:22probably they will try to do it again.
06:24Also, yeah, with the riders who come from the break,
06:27with the riders they have,
06:28they start to push a little bit early.
06:32But I think after Red Bull,
06:34and then, yeah,
06:36probably they want to put in the,
06:39I don't know,
06:40they saw something and they want to make me suffer.
06:44But at the end,
06:45I was able to be up there now.
06:47And it's quite nice.
06:49Press room.
06:53You didn't answer my question.
06:55So I tried again.
06:57Was it more the wind?
06:58What prevented the attacks?
06:59Or was it more the solid teamwork of your guys?
07:05Okay.
07:06I will tell you it was a win.
07:09The last question from here.
07:14Isaac, I don't know,
07:15if you feel really good tomorrow on the Finestre,
07:17and you get the okay from the team,
07:19could we see you attack alone on the Finestre
07:21to win in the pink?
07:23Or is that too much?
07:28Should be drinks in ours.
07:43Thank you, Isaac.
07:44Congratulations.
07:45Yes, sir.
