Au lendemain d'une première étape chaotique, les coureurs de ce Tour de Norvège 2025 ont retrouvé des conditions plus classiques ce vendredi 30 mai pour une 2e étape longue de 208 km entre Egersund et Oltedal. A l'issue d'un final vallonné comprenant la côte de Dirdal (1,5 km à 8,3%) à 8 bornes du but avant une arrivée jugée au sommet d'une bosse de 1 km à 6,8%, on a assisté à un sprint en côte entre costauds... et à la victoire du phénomène de ces dernières semaines, Matthew Brennan (Visma | Lease a Bike) ! Confirmant qu'il était bien plus qu'un sprinteur, le prodige britannique de 19 ans s'est imposé en véritable puncheur au terme d'un violent effort et décroche déjà sa 8e victoire de la saison. Déjà 2e la veille, il domine sur la ligne Maxim Van Gils (Red Bull-BORA-hansgrohe) et Victor Langellotti (INEOS Grenadiers), impuissants face à la classe de la nouvelle star du peloton, et s'empare logiquement des commandes du classement général.

00:39animators of this second half of this stage today. Jan Christen going clear. And I tell you what,

00:43that's a dangerous rider to let go on one like this. This is not the final ramp just yet. This

00:47is the little step up that takes them down a bit and got a bit of false flat before the ramp to the

00:52line itself as well. Jan Christen is clear. It's still Pursdrand Hagenis who's going to need to try

00:56and bring this one back if Matthew Brennan is going to get a shot at the win. Don't tell

01:00me we're going to have a second day in a row where we have an individual rider leading

01:03just ahead of the sprint as it unfolds. I think he went just a little bit too early.

01:08It's a long, long way from here. And he's, depends on what these kind of lead out riders have got.

01:16Well, Jan Christen, that is a big move by him. At the moment, he's got the gap. It's,

01:21uh, is that Victor Langellotti going after him? I think it might be the Monogasque rider for

01:25Ineos Grenadiers. This is the shot with, well, looking from the finish line, Jan Christen leading.

01:30I think it is Langellotti who's leading the peloton there as well. There's an Uno X rider just behind

01:34him. It looks like, uh, it looks like, no, it's not Adni Halter. I think it is in fact,

01:38Frederick de Vashnes who was up there in the top 10 yesterday and Matthew Brennan in the blue waiting.

01:42Brennan is waiting all the time. I think until they're a little bit closer at some point,

02:15like Langellotti might get this, but here comes Brennan. Look for the blue jersey. The next shot we see

02:19should be just above. Here comes Brennan. Brennan's closing in. It looks like Matthew Brennan

02:23is going to get this win. Who can come round in Vaxin? Vaxin Van Hilse can't get him. I think

02:28he's got it. Matthew Brennan wins stage two of the Tour of Norway. Maxim Van Hilse in second.
