08:21Comme annoncé dans les titres et développé tout à l'heure en anglais sous le trait au patronage du président de la République, Paul Biya, la représentation nationale procédait ce jour au baptême officiel du nouvel immeuble de l'Assemblée nationale, dont de la République populaire de Chine.
08:39Le joyau architectural a coûté 55 milliards de francs CFA, comprenant un bâtiment de 15 niveaux pour les services administratifs, un autre abritant l'hémicycle et un troisième servant de salle de banquet.
08:52Près de 4000 invités ont assisté à la cérémonie proprement dite et aux différentes articulations de la journée, prestations artistiques, films documentaires du président Paul Biya et allocutions de certaines personnalités.

09:29Manouda Malachi a ainsi fait le bilan des actions menées au cours de l'année 2024 et les innovations à apporter dans la lutte contre cette maladie.

09:51Conscient des nouveaux défis, notamment la résidence progressive des moustiques aux insecticides classiques,
10:00le Cameroun a pris l'option d'introduire progressivement des moustiquaires de nouvelle génération.
10:07Ces nouvelles moustiquaires peuvent réduire de 50% le nombre de cas de paludisme dans les zones où les moustiques ont développé des résistances.
10:20Parallèlement, le Cameroun a franchi une étape historique sur le front de l'innovation médicale.
10:27Car en janvier 2024, notre pays est devenu l'un des tout premiers d'Afrique à intégrer le vaccin antipaludique dans son programme élargi de vaccination de routine.
10:41Son déploiement graduel sera élargi à d'autres districts de santé à mesure que les approvisionnements en doses augmenteront,
10:50afin que tous nos enfants éligibles en bénéficient à terme.
10:54Je ne saurais pas parler de notre lutte antipaludique sans évoquer un défi majeur survenu ce début d'année 2025.

11:10Dès l'annonce officielle, j'ai adressé une lettre circulaire à l'ensemble des délégués régionaux de la santé,
11:18aux directeurs des hôpitaux et à nos partenaires techniques,
11:20pour leur demander de prendre toutes les dispositions nécessaires afin d'assurer la continuité des services de prévention et de soins essentiels malgré ce manque à gagner.
11:31La deuxième session du comité de pilotage de l'opération de soutien au secteur privé camerounais
11:39s'est tenue à Yaoundé sur la table des assises.
11:42L'accélération de la consommation entière de la première tranche de financement du projet démarré en janvier 2023,
11:50le projet vise à renforcer la résilience du secteur privé et d'autre part,
11:54ou encore la transformation structurelle de l'économie camerounaise.
11:58Les travaux présidés par le ministre délégué auprès du ministre de l'économie, Paul Sasson,
12:03ont réuni le gouvernement camerounais, le programme des Nations Unies pour le gouvernement et la banque arabe

12:25who is leading a series of activities in Cameroon.

12:32And you are in Cameroon for a series of programmes together with the British High Commission to Cameroon.
12:39And you are going to be telling us what is of interest to you
12:44and how you are connecting your stay here to the educational dreams of some Cameroonians.
12:52It's perfect.
12:53It's quite an exciting time to be in Cameroon to see how we can, you know,
12:58collaborate on education and developing education in Cameroon.
13:01A lot of students are looking abroad to study,
13:04and that's exactly what we can provide as an NCUK pathway provider.
13:08And so what most youngsters wishing to study in the UK know about studying in the United Kingdom?
13:16I think for now it's more about the idea of, you know,
13:19getting a proper international qualification that you can use back home
13:24when you come home to further your career.
13:27And that's exactly what we can provide,
13:30is getting that qualification, that knowledge, that skills, experience,
13:34to invest in your home country, which is quite exciting.
13:38Often, you have parents, families, who complain of being scammed by middlemen,
13:47you know, who, you know, talk to some of these young Cameroonians,
13:51you know, of the educational opportunities found in the UK.
13:55In the middle of this, what advice or what expertise does your consortium bring in?
14:02Yes, it's quite sad to hear that, and that is something we experience in the region.
14:07And I would say it's about making informed decisions.
14:10Don't just listen to people.
14:11Do your own research.
14:13It's almost like buying a car.
14:15You don't just buy the car.
14:16You go and test drive it, do the review, everything.
14:20And that's exactly what you should do with us.
14:22And any provider for tertiary education is go on their website, go and verify,
14:27make sure that it is a quality accredited place.
14:31Us as Inter-UK, we've partnered now with two accredited study centers in Cameroon.
14:36And it's not easy to become accredited, but they are accredited now.
14:40So make sure that they have accreditation before forming part of their offerings.

14:58Yeah, so this morning we had an event at the British High Commission
15:04with the attendance of the High Commission, NCUK representatives,
15:08as well as government and schools, and as well as our new study centers,
15:13the Kelvin here in Yawande, as well as the St. Louis in Dawala.
15:19And we basically launched our new study centers in Cameroon,
15:24which is exciting, providing affordable tertiary education
15:28and a pathway for them to further their career,
15:31to further their knowledge and experience.
15:34It was an absolutely exciting event,
15:37and everyone is really passionate about education.
15:40That's what I've noticed in Cameroon,
15:42and it's exciting to be a pretty formed part of that
15:45and see what we can do going on.
15:47Alors, comment faire pour quitter le Cameroon pour aller étudier au Royaume-Uni?
15:51Yeah, so, good question.
15:53Again, regarding that with the NCUK accreditation,
15:57once again, I'll center here in Yawande, as well as in Dawala,
16:01they are provided with a pathway international foundation year,
16:05international year one, and a master's preparation course.
16:09All of these provide a pathway to further studies.
16:13But what is quite exciting,
16:15and I really do think Cameroon would really benefit from this,
16:18is that if you start doing this qualification and you complete it,
16:23you are guaranteed a place under our partnered universities worldwide.
16:27and we are talking about highly ranked universities,
16:31nine in the top 120, in the top 200 in the world,
16:35it's a guarantee that you will be placed at one of our partnered universities.
16:39It's not about just completing something and hoping for the best afterwards.
16:43You are working towards your goal to get an international qualification
16:46that will benefit you, your family, your country, everyone.
16:50Okay, you talk of having partners already in Cameroon.
16:53So what are your selection criteria for potential students,
16:57or are the privileges the same?
16:59It's quite difficult, first of all, to get accreditation through NCUK.
17:05I am quite busy during the day with due diligence documents,
17:09site visits, ensuring that the exams, everything is on a certain standard.
17:13We've got about 120 study centres globally,
17:16and we ensure that at each study centre,
17:19you are getting more or less the same experience,
17:21the same quality education.
17:23And we as an institution, also the partnered universities,
17:27it doesn't matter from which country you are from,
17:29you do gain access to all of those universities for further studies.
17:34Once you start your studies at our partnered university,
17:37once again, Calvin University, as well as the St. Louis in Davala,
17:42you are registered as an NCUK student,
17:45and you are on our portal that would guide you throughout your pathway,
17:48your foundation, your international year one, and so on,
17:52and then to help you with your placement at the university afterwards.
17:55It's not just about doing something, a qualification, and you're left.
17:58We provide that support all the way through to get your final destination.

18:16The reinforcement of the civil registry in the Western Restitution of Rights Project,
18:22DERB-TRECOR, is underway in the West Region since the 4th of March, 2025.
18:27The initiative targeting the modernization of the civil registration services across the West Region,
18:33a hotspot for internally displaced persons from the North, West, and Southwest regions,
18:38was presented to members of the press in Yaoundé during a breakfast event.
18:42And the coordinator of that project, Esther, Eddie Ma,
18:47says that the project's funded to the tune of over 2 billion CFE francis,
18:53being done in collaboration with the Ministry of Dissentualization and Local Development,
18:59and implemented directly on the field by the French Relief Development Programme, the C2D.
19:06We shall be bringing you updates of that developing story in our subsequent news editions.
19:13And the annual conference of the regional directors of the Bilingual Training Programme
19:17has concluded with a renewed commitment to fully integrating English and French
19:23across all public institutions in the country,
19:27and this seeks to train over 27,000 Cameroonians in both official languages.
19:33Clovis Bauer tells us more.
19:35For four days, they are gathered to address a pertinent issue,
19:40that is, how to make public institutions embrace and adopt the use of English and French,
19:45the two official languages in all administrative offices.
19:49What we have to do is, first of all, to raise awareness to the people
19:52that there are text governing the official bilingualism in Cameroon,
19:56especially the one of 2019.
19:58We state that in all state services, the two languages should be given the equal opportunities.
20:05Over 27,000 individuals were targeted this 2025 and will be enrolled into the different linguistic centres
20:13around the country for training.
20:15For the English-speaking regions, officials say more will be done.
20:19We believe that by improving on our marketing, by making even our environment cleaner, we attract more people.
20:29We believe that through our radio programs, much more people will be aware of what we do.
20:36And we expect that some of them will come back to us.
20:40According to members of the bilingual training program,
20:43the close of their annual conference
20:45is also a new dawn where public institutions will better reflect the image of a bilingual Cameroon.

24:00Ici, la circulation est fluide et la situation sécuritaire est maîtrisée par les autorités de la place.
24:08Depuis deux mois, depuis le mois de février, les populations vivent dans la peur,
24:14vivent dans la crainte à cause des meurtres perpétrés par un individu, un jeune,
