00:08Ayon sa liderato ng mataas na kapulungan, ito ay dahil uunahin ang pagtalakay sa mga natitirang priority bills ng Administrasyon ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

00:22Pang-normal na sesyon lang ang ayos ng Senate Plenary Hall, ilang araw bago ang pagbabalik sesyon sa lunes.
00:29Pero makikita sa gilid ang witness stand na gagamitin para sa impeachment trial ni Vice President Sara Duterte.
00:36Pinasilip na rin ang posibleng magiging holding area ng prosecution at defense team.
00:42Sa susunod na linggo sana, June 2, 2025, ang presentasyon o pagbasa ng articles of impeachment na magiging hudyat para makapag-convene na ang Senado bilang impeachment court.
00:53Pero inununsyo ni Senate President Francis G. Scudero na iuurong na ito sa June 11 para magbigay daan sa pagpasa ng mga prioridad ng panukalang batas.
01:03Sa sulat niya kay House Speaker Martin Romualdez, sinabi ni Scudero na nagkasundo sa LIDAC o Legislative Executive Development Council na ipapasa ang mga mahalagang panukala na nasa legislative agenda ng 19 Congress.
01:16Inisa-isa pa ni Scudero ang mga mahalagang panukalang yan.
01:21Sabi ni Senate President Pro Temporary Jingoy Estrada, ang pinakamandato pa rin ng Senado ay bumuon ng mga batas para sa kapakanan ng mga Pilipino.
01:29Pero hindi ba uulanin ang kritisismo ang naging pasya ng liderato ng Senado?
01:34Hindi naman. As long as we are really bound to hear the impeachment case against Vice President Sara Duterte, it is our constitutional duty to hear it.
01:48Subalit, pinalagaan ni Estrada ang mga patutsada na baka hindi matuloy ang impeachment trial.
01:53May mga bulong na hindi na rao uusad ang impeachment case laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte.

02:12We are not going to abandon our constitutional duty to hear the impeachment case against the Vice President.
02:20Pero isa pang malaking tanong ay kung makakatawid ba sa 20th Congress sa impeachment, gayong na-file ito sa 19th Congress.
02:27At mayroon na lang dalawang linggo bago mag-adjourn ng kongreso.
02:31It is up to the Supreme Court to decide on that issue. It is not our decision.
02:37But at the same time, ako personally, as I look at both arguments, at the end of the day, it's really the rules of the Senate.
02:46Yung rules of the Senate, sariling rules namin eh, ng impeachment, which will be promulgated by June 2.
02:57So yun ang talagang dapat ma-thresh out na doon.
03:02Ang prinsipya kasi ng Senate is a continuing body. Kaya meron 12-12. 12 incumbent katulad ko, may 12 na bago.
03:12So continuing body siya. So yung principle ngayon, tingin ko ma-apply yan sa mga ganitong sitwasyon tulad ng impeachment.
03:21Kinumpirma ng Kamara na natanggap na nila ang opisyal na liham ni Escudero na pinadala kay Romualdez.
03:28At ipinasan na ito sa House Prosecution Panel para sa kanilang kaukulang aksyon.
