00:00The European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has won this year's Charlemagne Prize,
00:06the Continent's Top Award for those promoting European values.
00:11At the award ceremony in Aachen on Tuesday, the EU executive chief outlining their priorities for Europe over the coming years.

00:37She emphasized the importance of securing peace through the fence, promoting EU enlargement and safeguarding democracy,
00:45while reinforcing Europe's resilience.
00:48Several heads of states and former laureates participated in the ceremony,
00:53including Ukraine Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz,
00:59Spain's King Philippe VI and others.
01:02The International Charlemagne Prize have been awarded since 1950 to individuals or institutions
01:09for their services to Europe and the continent's unity.
