00:00Hi everyone. In this video I'm going to do a demo of QQDocs. This video is a little bit different than normal videos because this video is of a Chinese company. Don't worry, almost all of this video will be in English. You just need to know how to click on one button, this button, which means login.
00:24And basically this is kind of an alternative to Google Drive and Google Docs. And I'm going to do a demo for you. So first you're going to have a click on this, that means login, and you can login with either a WeChat QQ or WeCom account.
00:40And first you would need to make an account, for example, on WeChat. You can go to WeChat.com and it has a link to the major app stores. You can set up an account.
00:50And once you have an account, again, all you need to know is this button means login. And then I'm going to assume you have a WeChat account, although you can do this with a QQ or WeCom.
01:03And what you're going to end up doing is clicking like on this, and you're going to scan the QR code with your phone, but you'll scan it in WeChat.
01:15And in WeChat, it's going to ask you to confirm. It's going to say basically that you have read and accept it, and you confirm the login. And you will say yes.
01:31And what it will do is it's going to redirect you to something like this, and you'll just go back to Docs.QQ.com.
01:45And yes, you see that it's in English? I think that's because my computer is set in English.
01:53And if you want to, yeah, so it does support English, and it would definitely support Chinese.
01:58You can change the language in the settings.
02:02So this is kind of like Google Drive.
02:07And so here, note that you can make folders.
02:10Like here, you can make new.
02:12Click on the new button and make a new folder.
02:16And different options here.
02:18You can make a doc sheet slide, and I'll discuss all these.
02:22And you can also make a mind map and other cool things.
02:24And you can also upload files to your folder.
02:29So I'll upload one image.
02:33And just to show you to import an image, you would just click on Or File.
02:37You just click on the Import button.
02:40Okay, here.
02:41So I just uploaded an image from Pexels.
02:45I believe this is just the ocean.
02:47So you can upload images, and you can upload other files.
02:55Okay, so again, this is kind of like Google Docs.
02:58I made a folder called Current, and I'm going to show you the different options now.
03:03So let's go over Doc.
03:04So I'm going to click on Doc here.
03:08And you have the different options.
03:10I'm going to show you just a blank doc.
03:17And again, this is kind of like Google Docs.
03:21And I think the speed is such because it's going, yeah, it's probably the server is in mainland China.
03:32And I'm not in mainland China, so it's a bit far away.
03:34Okay, so you can give it an example title.
03:38I'll say Example Title.
03:40And it has an AI assistant, although I'm going to skip that.
03:46I am writing a book.
03:49This is an example pop of the book.
03:55Okay.
03:57And then I think this is kind of cool.
04:00And then you have the different options, the font size.
04:06For example, Control-B to make it bold.
04:12And so, like I said, it's kind of like Google Docs.
04:19And you can insert an image, text box, and more.
04:23So there's a whole lot of things you can do.
04:24For example, here you can change the font color.
04:30Made it red.
04:31Maybe if you want it orange, you can have it be orange.
04:35I can increase the font here to 18, let's say.
04:40And let's insert an image.
04:42For example, insert image.
04:44And then you'll say from a Tencent document or from local, and I'll upload a local one.
04:48Okay, so I just uploaded an image that I made for another video.
04:54I think that was from Grok.
04:57I made a video about Grok.
04:59And this was an image of two polar bears playing with two Arctic wolves at the North Pole, playing ice hockey.
05:05Okay, so anyway, I just inserted that image.
05:07And you can insert more images, and I forget what the default size is.
05:14It might be 11.
05:17And, yeah, so I think this is quite a good software, actually.
05:25And you can remove the bold like that, or have the bold.
05:30Control-B.
05:32So you can play around with this, and this is an option I'm not going to try.
05:37But you could generate images, possibly.
05:40Okay, so what I want to show you now is this is how you can download it as a Microsoft document,
05:47or export it as a PDF, or other of those.
05:51I'm going to download it as a Word document.
05:54Okay, so I downloaded the file.
05:55I'm actually using LibreOffice.
05:58And it looks quite good, in my opinion.
05:59So the .x file looks pretty good, in my opinion.
06:04And now I'll show you the downloaded PDF.
06:09So you would here, go here, export as PDF.
06:14And this is something that it's maybe slightly annoying, but they have some default options
06:20that you have to select if you want to actually download it.
06:22So I chose it as no watermark with a PDF.
06:29And you can go export as local PDF.
06:32That's what I'm going to click on.
06:35Okay, and this is what the downloaded PDF looks like.
06:37For some reason, it didn't download the image.
06:39I'm not really sure why.
06:40And this is what the PDF looked like.
06:41And, yeah, all that stuff, I think, is quite cool.
06:47And then, finally, there should be an option to see here.
06:55And then, if you want to share it, you can actually click on the Share button.
06:58And you have the choice, private, only to you.
07:01Or others can view it.
07:03Anyone can view it.
07:05Okay, it depends.
07:06And then you can just click on Copy the Link or QR Code or any of these.
07:10I'm going to click on Copy Link.
07:14And then I'm opening this file in the Copy Window.
07:17So I got the link.
07:21And this is what the share looks like.
07:24So you can share your documents with other people.
07:26And they don't need to have a QQ account.
07:28So I think that's quite cool.
07:31And, overall, I think their document editor is quite good.
07:34And I think you can try it out.
07:36And, again, if you're going to be going to mainland China,
07:40definitely this could be very useful because Google Docs might not be accessible.
07:44And I do think QQ Docs is pretty good.
07:48Okay, so now let's try out the spreadsheet.
07:53So I'm going to go to New, Sheet, New Spreadsheet.
07:58And you have the option to have these different templates.
08:00I'm just going to use a blank sheet.
08:04And this is going to open it in a new tab.
08:07And notice that, yeah, it originally was in Chinese.
08:10But because the language settings, it changed to English.
08:14But you can change the language settings if you want.
08:20Okay, so I have some data that I want to demonstrate this stuff with.
08:26So this is some data I've set up for another tutorial.
08:30And, basically, it's just a simple spreadsheet.
08:36And notice here, it automatically did, like in Google Sheets, so I think this is very useful.
08:47So you can auto-adjust the width.
08:49You can click on one and double-click, and it can auto-adjust the width.
08:55And this spreadsheet basically just has the person's name, their career, their yearly salary, gender, age, and age group.
09:03You can see, for example, it has a doctor, an idol, and these two people made a lot of money.
09:11And we've got entrepreneur, day trader, lawyer, two authors, and some others, pizza delivery driver, CEO, teachers, and more.
09:24And this could actually be very useful for you using QQ Docs.
09:32So there's a lot of useful things you can do.
09:36And I'm just going to demonstrate, for example, let's say you want to find the average.
09:41So it actually uses the English average.
09:43So, for example, the average salary, you can say C2 to C18.
09:50So that would be the mean salary.
09:52If you want to get the, do it like that.
09:56You can do median salary.
09:59You can get the median salary like this.
10:03You can do median.
10:04And C2 to C18.
10:08Okay, so median is another type of average.
10:11And this is one advantage of median, because it's less prone to outliers.
10:17So this person, Sana, she makes a lot of money.
10:21She's in the group twice.
10:24I looked this up.
10:25This is actually based on some website, approximately how much she makes per year.
10:30She might make more.
10:31But anyway, so the median is that.
10:34So it's better for dealing with outliers.
10:37And then, let's say, for example, you can say the minimum salary.
10:44We can say the min from C2 to C18.
10:49Let's say the max salary.
10:53And I can say max C2 to C18.
10:57Okay, and yeah, so I think this is very, very useful.
11:05And for sure, I'm almost certain you'd be able to do sorting, although I haven't looked into that very much.
11:13But, for example, data.
11:14I think you should be able to do sorting, but let's say, for example, sort and custom sort.
11:21Let's say custom sort by the yearly salary.
11:25And we'll do descending.
11:27So just like in Google Sheets, for example, here.
11:35So this goes from highest to lowest.
11:37So a lawyer makes that much money.
11:41That's just an example.
11:42CEO might make that.
11:44Doctor might make that.
11:46And so on.
11:47So this seems about really realistic.
11:50And a lot of these, I looked up the numbers.
11:52And some, I just kind of knew some of the salaries.
11:54So you can sort from highest to lowest or lowest to highest.
12:01And there's so many different types of sorting you can do.
12:03Just any type of data analysis.
12:05Okay, and you can download this just like a Microsoft Excel file.
12:12And you can also export it as a PDF or Excel file.
12:16I'm not going to show you that, but it should be similar to the docs.
12:19And I'm going to show you the slides now.
12:21So going back to here, we can go to new and then go to slide.
12:29So this is kind of like, I think it's Google Slides or kind of like PowerPoint.
12:33We've got different templates you can use.
12:36But let's do a blank one.
12:38So here we can say, blank slide.
12:44Okay, you can say, call it my presentation.
12:51Okay.
12:54And say data science is cool.
12:57I don't know.
12:58Whatever you want.
12:59You can make a new slide.
13:00And say data science subfields.
13:10We can say, for example, statistics, coding, machine learning.
13:17Okay, this is just something that I think about, but you can do whatever you want.
13:23So you can say slide three, some more text, and so on.
13:30And then, like other things, you can change the font.
13:44Fonts to like that.
13:46Different color.
13:48And if you wanted to add an image, you can add an image or like that.
13:52I think that's add some data.
13:55I would say slide four.
13:56Okay, I'm going to try adding an image.
14:00Okay, so I just added an image.
14:02This was an image I made in another AI tool.
14:04I don't remember.
14:05It might have been Grok.
14:08And like the other ones, you can download that.
14:11So, for example, you can download it as a PowerPoint slide or download it as PDF or other things.
14:19And, yeah, so I think QQ Docs is quite good.
14:23And going back to here.
14:24So, again, this is kind of like Google Drive.
14:29You can have folders.
14:30You can put things in here.
14:32And I also wanted to quickly show you if I had it.
14:36Maybe I can't find it.
14:38Okay, but anyway.
14:39Oh, yeah.
14:39So here I also made a...
14:42This is a mind map.
14:45So you can have mind maps.
14:46And I think that's really cool.
14:49Okay, so I hope you enjoyed this video.
14:50This was a demo of QQ Docs at docs.qq.com.
