00:46Hello and welcome to From the South. I'm Alejandra Garcia from Telesur Studios in Havana, Cuba. We begin with Denise.
00:59The President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, addressed the Venezuelan people during his TV show after Chavism forces won the legislative and governor election in the country.
01:14One day after the ruling coalitions won in 23 of the 24 states of the nation, including the Guyanese Kiva, President Maduro described the feat as a historic win that puts an end to a ten year period of conspiracies against the country and shows the true power of Chavism forces.
01:32He congratulated all elected governors and legislators and highlighted that Venezuela is creating a truly democratic alternative to the liberal and bourgeois internationality.
01:43Furthermore, the head of state denounced international silence regarding the crimes perpetrated against democracy and peace in the Bolivarian nation.
01:53Because they cover it up, it is a way of having a story that covers those they move within the country or from abroad.
02:06Because we captured several foreign mercenaries, they cover them with a human rights defender card will they come to kill in Venezuela.
02:21Then they raise an opinion movement there in Europe, poor things, kidnapped, hostages, oh but do we have to let them kill us? Do we have to let them plant bombs, let them kill innocent Venezuelans?
02:40Let them attack vital objectives of the country. No, there is a constitutional first that is respected here, and whoever comes to conspire will be captured, tried and punished according to the laws of Venezuela.
02:57In this context the Venezuelan people celebrate the historic victory of Chavism after winning the vast majority of the governorships and the parliament in the last Sunday's elections.
03:07The celebrations for the electoral victory of the revolutionary forces have been carried out across the country where the people are mobilized to show their support to the new governors, legislators and parliamentarians.
03:19For their part, more than 2,000 motorized vehicles joined this celebration touring the streets of Caracas, showing their support to the Great Patriotic Poll which obtained 80% of the votes for the National Assembly and 99% of the governorships.
03:34The United Socialist Party of Venezuela ratified Monday the great majority victory in the regional and legislative elections of 2025.
03:47The Secretary-General of the party Diosdado Cabello affirmed that Sunday's elections consolidated the Bolivarian revolution after a resounding victory that guarantees national peace.
03:59The political leader thanked the Bolivarian National Armed Forces for the protection it provided across the nation, and emphasized that the state of Guyana's Akiva already has an elected governor who will guarantee peace and the safeguard of national sovereignty.
04:15That's the people, a people that does not give up, and that in spite of adversities goes out, and responds, and there you have the answer, a great popular victory.
04:34The rest, the rest, is just fairy tales, the rest is just fairy tales. People expressed themselves freely, and there were results for the governorships.
04:44From 23 to 24. Bad? It is not bad. The same with the National Assembly. An extraordinary victory. Some of the comrades here today, are going to the National Assembly, congratulations to the new deputies, congratulations to the gentlemen of the opposition.
05:09Who are going to the National Assembly, who are going to the National Assembly, they won and are going to the National Assembly. They will all meet face to face with comrades coming from the neighborhoods, from the communities, from where the true popular feeling comes, and they will be in a scenario of political debate.
05:36There, Cabello announced that the 10 states with the highest participation will have direct financing for the communal circuits.
05:43In addition, from now on, the communal circuits, where there was a higher participation, 10 per state, will have a direct financing. The communal circuits, where there was greater participation, the first 10 will have direct financing from the president. For life together, everything is possible.
