03:39and I think that's what separates the clay

03:43you have a big advantage
03:44and it definitely helps you

03:56to me it seems like it's an art form
03:57that the elite players on clay
04:02can do it better than the others
04:04they can slide into and out of shots
04:06where some guys kind of make do with what they have

04:09but just the art of sliding into shots

04:45which was definitely not a thing before
04:47and quite new to the modern tennis
04:50but clay has always been there
04:52I feel like it allows you to defend on shots
04:58that perhaps would have not been possible
05:00on other surfaces
05:01because you would really be out of position
05:02and in a very awkward stance
05:05to hit it that way
05:07so clay definitely allows you to recalibrate
05:11get back into the rally
05:13even if you're in a very defensive position
05:15and that sliding definitely helps a lot
05:18it's like an art form
05:19because you start the set
05:20and the court is clean
05:22it's polished
05:23no marks
05:24and you finish the set
05:25and you can see your entire movement on court
