00:30Like at the same time did you cry? The way it was with Rafa…
00:34I wouldn't call it the serious crying but for sure we had tears I think like twice during the ceremony but I really tried to hold it together so I don't look that bad.
00:44But it was an amazing ceremony and I'm happy that Roland Garros did this for Rafa.
01:20Elle a gagné l'émirée d'Akanu à 19 ans.
01:24Elle a gagné l'émirée d'Akanu à 18 ans.
02:00Elle a gagné l'émirée d'Akanu à 19 ans.
02:02Donc je suis prêt.
02:04Vous avez eu l'émirée de l'émirée d'Akanu à 19 ans.
02:08Je me souviens de l'émirée d'Akanu à 19 ans.
02:12Je ne pensais pas de l'émirée d'Akanu à 19 ans.
02:14Je me souviens de l'émirée d'Akanu à 19 ans.
02:37Mais, you know, Melbourne et Ron Garros,
02:39c'est-à-dire des surfaces, des histoires.
02:41Donc, je vais me préparer tactiquement,
03:19Je suis heureux d'avoir un long rest.
03:22Mais, on the other hand,
03:24on the other hand,
03:25people just try to look for,
03:29not even things between men and women.
03:34You can find that in the schedule a little bit
03:37and you can ask us all the time,
03:39but honestly, my answers are not going to change,
03:41so I don't mind.
03:43Can I cede to him to follow up on that?
03:55I'm just curious.
03:56I understand your personal preference for playing in the day
03:58and it doesn't bother you,
03:59but do you sort of, as an ambassador for women's standards
04:02and advocate for it,
04:03understand that the men are getting a much bigger stage,
04:06much bigger audiences because of this schedule?
04:09Yeah.
04:10But I'm not making the schedule.
04:12But does it bother you?
04:13I guess it's been so,
04:14they get such a bigger platform?
04:16No.
04:17Okay.
04:20Hi, Yuga.
04:21Hi.
04:22What do you consider the greatest challenge for a player
04:27who is a teenager, relatively new on tour,
04:31younger than a lot of her opponents,
04:34to win a Grand Slam title?
04:37Wait, the greatest challenge for a teenager
04:39to win a Grand Slam title?
04:43And is it any different from anybody of any other age?
04:46Well, I think the challenge is big for everybody,
04:48but for a teenager I think it's easier.
04:51You're an underdog, like, you're not observed,
04:54you don't have a target on your shoulder,
04:56so the expectations are lower
04:58and for sure it's easier to win a Grand Slam when you're a teenager
05:01rather than, I don't know, winning it as Maddy did, you know.
05:05After so many years of being on tour,
05:07everybody also knows your game.
05:09you know, probably, you have many situations where you didn't make it,
05:16you know, and it can haunt you.
05:18So I think winning as a teenager is easier.
05:21Would you have asked a few questions?
05:23Hi, Yuga.
05:24I'm wondering if the Chattrilli for you has reached the point
05:27when you step on it for a match,
05:29you can feel it's going to leave the game
05:32because you've won so many matches.
05:34I used to say I step on it and it's so home that I know,
05:37like, literally at some point you can't lose.
05:40No, I mean, I literally lost a match on the Olympics,
05:44so it's not like you can't lose,
05:47but for sure I feel a lot of good energy
05:50and I feel like, you know, I'm ready to fight
05:52and, you know, I am willing to fight
05:56and it's great to be pumped up before the match because of that,
06:01so I'm using it for sure.
06:05Hi, Yuga.
06:07Yesterday was an incredible day for Rafa.
06:10Could you talk about him?
06:13What inspires you?
06:15Can you share a fun story?
06:17Just talk.
06:18Everything honestly inspires me
06:20because it's not only what he does on the court,
06:22which everybody sees, like, you know,
06:24not giving up winning matches
06:26when he's started from being in trouble, you know,
06:29and you see that his game is not working,
06:32but then he pushes through it
06:33and then he manages, you know, to win
06:35and, you know, coming back from injuries,
06:39also his attitude and the way he always, like, resets and focus on the next point,
06:45but off the court as well, like, the way he treats people,
06:50and you could see yesterday that he was in tears
06:53when the Rangara staff came out on the court, you know,
06:56and you can see that this is what's important for him,
06:59showing gratitude to other people and being grateful for their work.
07:03So, yeah, he's really, like, a humble person and I really appreciate it.
07:09And, yeah, I think he's a role model for, like, everybody,
07:16especially now when people only seek this, you know, drama
07:21and, like, being so bright and being, like, everywhere.
07:25He seems to just be doing his job and be focusing on that,
07:29and people love him for that, so, yeah.
07:33Did he ever give you any advice that was helpful that you recall
07:37or a comment that you could share?
07:39Well, it's not like it's a, like, a Eureka thing, but on the other hand,
07:46he, for him, tennis is pretty simple, you know,
07:51and he knows what his values are and he follows them,
07:55so sometimes where you're lost, like, it's nice to look at him,
08:00to see, like, how much clearer goals he has and, yeah, again,
08:06how tennis is simple for him, you know.
08:08So, yeah, in 2021 when he lost against Novak in the semis
08:12and everybody stayed at the same hotel in the Novotel,
08:15I remember, like, I was devastated that he lost
08:19and next day, like, I met him because he was just sitting there,
08:22like, after breakfast or something and I asked him how does he feel
08:25and he was like, he was chill, you know, he was like,
08:28oh, it's just a tennis match, you know, I'll get many more chances.
08:32So, I was like, what? Why am I crying if he's not crying?
08:38Yeah.
08:39Okay, let's just shoot.
08:41Okay, let's just shoot.
08:43Let's go.
08:44Let's go.
08:45Let's go.
08:46Let's go.
