00:00Hello I'm Nathan Judah that is Mr Liam Keane and for the final time this season is our post-match

00:15analysis video. Wolverhampton Wanderers won, Brentford won, they stopped the rot Liam they

00:22were going into this game with three defeats in a row but thankfully they got a point today they

00:28finished 16th in the table not what they wanted to do they start the day in 14th but overall it's

00:34been a successful season from December. Yes yes in context it's been a successful season for Vitor

00:42Pereira and for a lot of these players yeah Wolves were heading in one direction and that was down

00:47they were hurting towards relegation Vitor's come in they made some additions in January and we're

00:54in a position now where the final day of the season was relatively relaxed. Performance-wise

00:59was mixed, much better the second half I felt, maybe still not as clinical or as good going forward as

01:06they should have been in previous weeks but a fantastic goal against the equaliser and

01:11Wolves are probably just about good value for a point really and I think you know phrasing it as

01:16stopping the rot and it's quite important not ending the season with four straight defeats I think is

01:22really key so hopefully they can take that into the summer and it's gonna be a big one. It's a huge

01:29one for them look in terms of this game and we we were at Crystal Palace on Tuesday night and it was

01:33awful on Tuesday night mistakes galore and it was a bad mistake really that led to to Brent for Brentford's

01:40only goal of the game. Yeah and it was just before that there was a mistake as well I mean Totti had made an error

01:46the end of Kevin Sharla had a shot and that was saved and Saad's got the ball in his hands rolls out

01:52to Ignorey and just makes a complete hash of it exchanges a pass with Cunha, Cunha's pass back

01:58into him isn't great but he does control it and he does then turn into trouble so for me it's more on Ignorey than it is Cunha

02:05and oh that's Vitor going past now look waving at there we go he loves it get him on the pitch

03:10yeah I mean with the goal with Ignorey yeah it's an error it's a mistake and then

03:16Brentford get a tiny little bit of luck I mean this has a shot blocked it falls back to Norgard

03:20and it's an easy pass into Mbuemo for a tap-in but it was frustrating really because I thought

03:26Wolves had a decent of 10 minutes looked after the ball really well I thought Charles Gomez was excellent

03:30today and had a really good start to the game and then as soon as the mistake started creeping

03:34there was a couple as I say before the 8-0 situation and the goal a couple that crept in

03:38which they have done as you mentioned with Palace and other games recently mistakes have crept into

03:41their game and they never really recovered no the rest of the first half and they went one

03:47down inside 20 minutes the rest of the half was wasted and they had to come out much better in the

03:50second without being you know excellent I thought they were definitely better in that second half

03:55definitely better but it needed some kind of a impetus some kind of yes moment of quality just to

03:59get the stadium into life because it was quiet it was quiet all afternoon really

04:04and my word I mean look it was very much a route one situation I do into Jorgen Strand Larsson look

04:11only on the pitch for a matter of minutes shows how important he was I mean we're also playing with

04:1410 at times sorry Gonzalo Geddes but but not you know with with Strand Larsson on the pitch it gives

04:20them impetus it makes them look more threatening knocked down and my goodness I mean look the fans are

04:26quite frustrated Marshall Minnets he's finishing this season and we know how good his work rate is

04:31but if he's gonna have a hit the back of the net and do it in style in front of the south bank I

04:39mean it was incredible look probably not goal of the season but I tell you what it would have made

04:44the highlight reel 100% would have made the highlight reel um the same as what you just said

04:48initially I've got to give some credit to to Larsson it's a brilliant flick on it yeah beautiful it's

04:54very so well so effortlessly conceptually it's very simple to do that um but it's not easy in a

05:00to to actually pull that off physically um great leap great flick on and that just sets it up perfectly for

05:06Minetsi who by the way as we always say it never stops running constantly running makes runs attacking

05:12runs and all of a sudden he's back on Wolves' six yard box defending um and he did that tirelessly again

05:17today and he makes that brilliant run it just lands and sits perfectly for him and my god what a strike

05:23oh my god I mean it's the dream strike yeah and I spoke to him I interviewed him downstairs afterwards and

05:28um yeah yeah yeah yeah I said um Nathan said his best he said oh good who who's that guy and uh

05:35and when he was talking about the moment he sort of he sort of struck it and he's like it's that

05:40moment you know when you've hit it it's that it's clean beautiful you've caught it well you've caught

05:44it really nicely beautiful goal brilliant finish and I love the celebrations as well and I'm pleased that

05:49um that we'll talk about it more in the pod which we're going to record after the after this but

05:53I'm really pleased with him personally and a player that's come into a little bit of

05:58stick sometimes fairly sometimes I think unfairly yeah but look I mean when you look at I mean look

06:03of course Agba do is the one who's going to hit the headlines for his transfer in January

06:07but tell you what and Vitor said many times Marshall Minetzi what he's done since he's been here has been

06:13incredible and really is his work rate is off the ball work but to get a goal like that and the final

06:20strike here this season I think is very very important and we'll stand him in good stead going into into

06:24next year look and then all of a sudden different game crowd comes alive there's a few half chances

06:29Cuny's got a couple wasn't at the races day himself really um but Wolves could have won it in the end

06:33but I think 1-1 was a fair result I think they would have taken that I know they dropped a couple of

06:37places in the league but to to finish this season with a draw going into the summer I think is I think

06:43we'll all take that really yeah I think just against a side that would go had chance of getting into

06:46Europe by the way and a good side uh Brentford they really are I don't think Brentford actually

06:51at their best today either by any means but um and that was frustrating with giving them that goal

06:55and just giving them you Vitor spoke on Tuesday about giving gifts and that's exactly what Wolves did

06:59but yeah look Wolves not not a side about their best it wasn't the the the best uh game to watch I don't

07:05think however as you say Wolves get that that equaliser the corral comes alive the game comes alive and

07:11Wolves were the better team they finished they finished the the team stronger um and were able

07:15to give Tom King a little uh yes a little moment as well yeah fair play to him so um so yeah so I

07:22think with with that you know the game uh in context and as a whole a point was probably about right

07:30and it was important just not to to lose it I think to avoid defeat and go into the summer with the

07:34fans having had that moment and Marshall Mletzi's goal and now you focus on making sure this team

07:40cohesive unit of a team is competitive and stronger into next season because they they could do

07:46something under Vitor but they've got to have the tools to do it they do absolutely and um

07:52they're going to have to invest as well which is very very important look we're going to talk about

07:55the scenes after full time I think a little bit more in depth in the podcast but you know the likes of

08:00Mateus Cunni the likes Nelson Semedo it did seem like it was a farewell it did um I think Semedo was a bit

08:07emotional out there um totes emotion yeah totes emotion um we're expecting Srabia to go uh with

08:13with his contract being up Semedo obviously he's still got that decision to make but we've always

08:17said all along that it's more likely he's going to go than not I mean to be really honest the main

08:21reason he hasn't made that decision yet is because the offer from Wolves is too good it's so good and

08:26very generously I'll take it I'll definitely take it he's got to at least consider it and then we've

08:30Kunja um very sort of I think he was a little bit unsure about what to do he stuck around towards

08:37the back end of the group yeah didn't wasn't really short to do then had a moment with the South Bank

08:41and then Jao Gomez was trying to push him a bit further a bit closer had that moment where he was

08:46like right okay thanks yeah it wasn't as euphoric as probably you would he would have had a couple of

08:51months ago but look that's what's happened and that's you know part of Mateus Kunja's doing we all

08:55know he's a world-class striker we all know that he will be moving on and you know good look to him

09:00he's scored some important goals this season people haven't forgot that and there's a lot of

09:04people there I think in the South Bank are wanting to say thank you and fair play we want to say thank

09:07you thank you to you thank you to you guys for for watching all these videos this season because

09:11there's been quite a few of them from well pre-season in where did we go Marbella it started off
