00:20it's been a long time Vitor came in was on good form slightly bleary eyed there was a yeah it was

00:26old stuff party that went on till the wee hours and we saw a little bit of Dex a little bit of DJ from

00:32Arvita that's never that's the thumbnail side and apparently went down and up some storms yeah

00:38no we've heard some good things probably an inspirational speech um couple beverages maybe

00:42a few staff members i'm not talking about playing stuff uh open uh open maybe i don't know around

00:49drinking until the very early hours kind of a party wasn't it condos i wasn't there when invited i'll

00:53have a word with them about that um yeah but you did ask Vitor i mean this is in the embargoed

00:57section i think we'll be safe to say it you asked him uh how it went and he went i can't remember

01:02what i said was it um yes a little bit uh bleary a little bit weary um he seems ready for the season

01:11to be over that's not a criticism by any means but um it's been a long old slog wolves are safe

01:16they've got more games to go uh let's end it on a high and that's that's the difficult thing and i think

01:20we've seen in these three games that they've lost and obviously everybody wants to go into the summer

01:26i think he does of course as well with a win or a positive result because motivationally it is

01:32difficult to to keep on going into it when you've achieved your goal of staying in the premier league

01:37for next season when you've got a lot of teams that some have got them got plenty to fight for

01:41others are on the crest of a wave as we saw against crystal palace on Tuesday night but at the same

01:46time i think vitol wanted to get this across in front of a home crowd to say thank you they want

01:52to end on on a positive note yeah and i think that's really important um because as vitol sort

01:58of comes back to consistently in his answers the the fans have given him quite a lot um he's

02:03fortunately been able to repay that with a lot of results i've kept in the premier league and it's

02:08about sort of rewarding that and and sort of give them a send-off into the summer that um that they

02:13need and deserve but also the the players and the team having an opportunity to take a little bit

02:17of momentum go into the summer with a little bit of good feeling which four losses isn't going to

02:21help if they do lose against brentford so all of those things is very important and there'll be a

02:26few players we expect to uh say their own goodbyes as well whether that's announced or not um it will

02:31be the reality yes uh absolutely look um there are plays with question marks of course we talked in the

02:36in the podcast this morning about about nelson samedo and the situation regarding him in terms of

02:42plays he wasn't going to go and talk about individuals which you understand but at the

02:46same time he wants a message or an answer early on into the you know the the the close season about

02:54so whether these players are going to stay because if not then they've got to replace and want to

02:58create a plan very very quickly yeah key part of vitol's message today in that press conference was that

03:03it's going to be a big june it's gonna be a big month uh he is going away for a little bit of a break

03:07but he also is well aware that he's going to be on the phone he's going to be having you know players and

03:11agents and all sorts of people calling him um and he's going to be in touch with his recruitment

03:16department to to get some players over the line um it's important for him rightly so by the way

03:22that any players that do go we're talking to rapier samedo kunya um whoever else may depart this

03:26football club uh that they need to be replaced and they need to find a balance this squad uh which

03:31means that we avoid the first half of the season that we have this year someone who will definitely be

03:35here next year and it's been a magnificent signing is jorgen stran larsen however some disappointing

03:41news potentially about his availability on sunday yeah he's not long come back from a groin strain

03:46missed the city game didn't need them on the bench back into the starting lineup again score and get

03:51an assist against palace but goes down uh and comes off towards the end of that game uh with a knock and

03:57uh unfortunately seems like he won't be playing on sunday um taking veto by his word uh he said he's a

04:03doubt uh we'll see how he feels tomorrow we'll see but we're not sure um if you're going to you

04:08know take him uh on face value i don't think you'll see larsen in that uh in that starting

04:12though which is a blow because yeah look he played well against palatine you know a game that wolves

04:16didn't perform well in as a team um and his goalscoring record speaks for itself so um they're

04:21going to need other players to step up in terms of those are the places stay up and it might mean that

04:26one of gonzalo gedders or pablo sarabia again both with huge question marks over their their wolves future

04:33might get another chance and i think it'd be gedders to be honest um because you need a nine

04:37and i think he's he's the only one that sort of fits that that bill your only other option is

04:42probably huangie chan i can't see him coming into the starting 11 so i think gedders for the third

04:47game in a row by the way will keep his place um which i wouldn't have called a few weeks back when

04:54we were talking about it so um look i mean the other options to him are you play cunier central but

05:00that didn't work um against city and ferrera spoke about that publicly and said

05:05he can't play there so i can't do that um you play minetti's a false knight i can't see that huang

05:09obviously is the option otherwise you're limited really with the last time coming out and again

05:13that's probably an area they could look at in the summer for a bit of a bit of depth uh and

05:16competition in for places um i think gedders starts there i really do um he's probably got to

05:21put in a bit of a better performance than he has done recently i'm gonna i'm gonna hedge my bets

05:25go for the outside i'm gonna say huang starts okay i'm gonna say huang starts yeah absolutely

05:30like to have a little bit of a gamble at times um what does a vital pro need to see from these

05:34players or does he need to see anything from them because like we said you know the job's done so in

05:39terms of he knows what he can get from his side and it was very interesting we asked him the question

05:43about maybe some of those fringe players and did he learn a lot from it's fine in training but

05:47putting it into into practice in a game situation is very very different

05:52but we expect him to go to the more tried and tested we expect the likes of nelson samedo to

05:57star matt doherty to be recalled joe gomez to come back into this side so is it just one more go go

06:04for the motivation go and get result prove to these players give give thanks to the fans and trying to

06:09finish as high as possible in in the table is it professional pride i think so yeah and it's also the

06:15cash for the positions as well if it all you know touched on that and said look that the club obviously

06:19wants him to finish as high as he can because of the money that is available but he said the the

06:23focus from a player's perspective will be finishing as high as you can for the merit of finishing as

06:29high as you can so i i think he'll go back to the strongest 11 i think he has to i think it's wise

06:34the experiment didn't work um in terms of performance and results on tuesday night a lot of players didn't

06:39step up to the opportunity awarded to them and it's time to to go back to the players that got wolves

06:44here in the first place that means like couldn't you're coming in samedo jargomas doc minecci probably

06:49as well so yeah i i can't see and jose siren goal as well i can't see um where or why he would make

06:58any other changes to that which means it's people six changes on tuesday night it's probably another

07:02six on sunday to change back to to what was tried and tested matthias could you almost certainly his

07:09last game for the club how will he want to go out and what kind of reception do you think he'll get

07:13yeah it's it's a tough one um for me he's wolf's player of the season um we'll find out whether he

07:18wins that of course and there'll be a player's player and a fans uh supporters player the season

07:22at the end of the game yeah exactly um i expect him to win um i know there's a could be a question

07:29mark over the fans one i think he deserves to win both of them despite obviously some of the shortcomings

07:33and i think he'll get a decent enough reception but there is that you know small side to the fan base

07:40that you know we're questioning whether he deserves that or not um i think it'll probably end i mean

07:45largely positive i think so yeah i think so i have to get sent off unless that yeah uh and i think

07:50he'll probably put in a performance that we expect from players quality i don't think he was very good

07:55when he came on against palace but the whole team wasn't particularly good uh i i think he'll start and

08:01i think he'll put in a good performance and if he does wolves will get something from the game you've got

08:05brent for brentford um oh good side and look if if they're poor by the way and wemo and visa will

08:11will absolutely kill you yeah they will um but i think it'll be an open game i think there'll be

08:15goals in it in terms of a scoreline mr liam key yes i'm going to stick with what i said on the poddy as

08:19i always do desmond 2-2 oh that rhymed as well it did very good that's very good uh wolves two brentford

08:27two um and i think that that's enough i think you know you haven't won the game of course you win this

08:31in four at the end but i think a draw especially if it's an entertaining game is enough to take a

08:35few people off happy enough into the summer i think talking about taking people off happy into

08:40the summer i'm going to say the game slips and slides a little bit liam i'm going to say this

08:43is going to be a goal back and forth i've changed from the podcast already giving brentford another

08:48goal that's the hell all right strong last night brentford got another goal five goal thriller but

08:51we'll still win it's wolverham to wanderers three it's brentford two um for all the build-up on
