00:00Hello I'm Nathan Judah and I'm here with Wolves reporter Mr. Liam Keane. The sky is behind us
00:14because some of, well one of us, has potentially lost a tripod so we'll make do for now. But look,
00:20it doesn't matter because we've heard from Vito Pereira ahead of the big game tomorrow night at
00:25Crystal Palace, FA Cup winners Crystal Palace, and let's hope that we're still partying now. I think
00:31there's going to be a fair amount of changes in terms of the Crystal Palace team, but team useful
00:37Wolves Liam? Yeah, firstly Vito sort of hinted at a couple of changes didn't he? It was slightly vague
00:44because there was a... Maybe he said maybe, maybe am I, he was teasing us. He certainly was, there's an
00:51assumption that Palace will make plenty of changes, or at least a few, which I think is
00:56fair to say. Yeah. And he sort of, yeah, dropped in the, you know, maybe we could as well. To be honest,
01:00I think he'll play his strongest team still. But he did sort of hint at it. And in terms of injuries,
01:04Wolves were in a relatively good place. The good news is that Larsson and Huang are both in training.
01:08Huang missed out on the squad altogether against Bryan. Yeah. Larsson was on the bench, obviously
01:12missed City and came on in that game against Bryson. So the pair of them are available. I would imagine
01:17Larsson starts, Huang will be on the bench. It's expensive for Geddes. Yeah, I think so. I think
01:22so. And these are two players that we expect to miss out. One, not surprising, Sam Johnson's not
01:27been available for a few weeks now. And the other is Tommy Doyle. He hasn't been getting a lot of game
01:31time anyway, but we've been told he's got a small injury, small niggle that they're trying to sort. So
01:37we're not expecting all those to make the squad, but otherwise should be a pretty healthy team to
01:42choose from. Now one player who we haven't discussed a lot this season, so it's nice to speak about him,
01:45Matthias Cunja, who of course was the subject of one of the first questions from the broadcast.
01:53It's going to be an ongoing saga throughout the summer until Matthias Cunja lands at a football
01:58club. But every tweet, every other tweet from anyone in the country is of course about Matthias Cunja and
02:03a potential move. Manchester United being the strongest link so far. What did Vito have to say about that?
02:08Yeah, very coy, as you would expect. Say, look, I don't know any more than you do, etc, etc,
02:13which we would expect from him. He's been very cool on transfers, very cool on that kind of stuff
02:17in the past. So that's not a surprise. What he did insist is that Matthias is happy, he's training well,
02:23and there's no issues. So I would be surprised if he doesn't play. I can't see a world where
02:29Vito Pereira doesn't play Matthias Cunja. I'd be very, very surprised unless something happens between
02:33now and tomorrow. And you'd be saying not to play him because he's your best player.
02:37Yeah. And Wolves want to finish, and I'm sure Vito Pereira wants Wolves to finish as high up as
02:41possible. 12th is out of the question, they can't catch Crystal Palace, they can catch Everton,
02:45they can finish 13th. And at this moment in time, it could be 13th, it could be 17th. There's a lot
02:49of money to still play for. There is. And when looking at the game tomorrow, I thought it was very
02:53interesting that Vito, obviously very complimentary to Palace, insisted that Wolves need to focus on
02:59their own game, but also admitted that, you know, to be honest, it's difficult to keep motivation high
03:04at this period. Yes, he did, yeah. Wolves are not playing for Europe, not going to be relegated,
03:08so they're playing for exactly what you've just described, a best possible finish and a bit more
03:13extra cash. Which, let's be honest, if you're a player, you're not that bothered about it.
03:16No, no, of course not. We're being brutally honest. Give them some more money to replace me
03:21next season, I'm alright. But the players will want to finish as high as they can in the league,
03:26but it's about sort of channeling that motivation as best you can. Vito did make a little bit of a joke
03:29as well and said, to be honest, sorry, I need a break as well, it's been a long season. So,
03:34not really the sort of tub-thumping messages going into this game that maybe fans would have wanted.
03:40So job is done, it's okay, we're so am proud. But I know that when you're there tomorrow,
03:44when we're there tomorrow, when the players are there, Vito's there, the blood starts pumping
03:48and Vito's desperate to win a game. Does it start pumping? Absolutely. And he'll want to win,
03:52he'll go there regardless of what team Palace put out. For them, it'll be party season, the FA Cup,
03:57and they'll be doing the rounds, they'll be doing Lap of Honour, but Wolves will want to go there
04:01and want to get a win. So, they've got a massive opportunity to go and do that.
04:05Yeah, that's hard then. There's a lot of Keynote fans here, in the background.
04:10Make sure you key the camera on us, please.
04:12It's okay, dear.
04:14You're a terrible human.
04:15Yeah, I am. Right, talk about futures and two players. One, obviously, we're going to talk about,
04:23and one I thought was a little bit interesting, actually, in terms of Nelson Semedo, who I think
04:27Vito Pereira has gone on record about several times, saying he's desperate to keep his club captain,
04:31and you can understand why. But also, Pablo Sarabia, who we've all but written off as in he won't be here
04:38next year, but maybe a tiny chink of light in terms of Pablo Sarabia and Wolverhampton Wanderers going
04:45forward.
04:45No, I don't think so.
04:47I'm trying to build it up. I'm trying to build it up. Come on, just play along with me.
04:51You gave it a good go, but I'm not having it. No, I thought maybe we've interpreted it slightly
04:56differently here. Let's focus on what Vito said first of all. When it comes to Semedo, yeah,
05:00he said, look, I want to keep him. Semedo knows you want to keep him, etc. No surprise.
05:04With Sarabia, he didn't quite say the same thing. No, he wasn't as glowy. He said,
05:08I like him, I like his personality, but we'll see. He's not going to be a Wolves player next season.
05:13There's no chance. I can't see a world at all in which probably Sarabia stays. Just stay in the
05:18line. Wait, it's okay. He's nearly done. Stop it. I think Wolves and the player will be happy to
05:24part ways, amicably give him that opportunity to go, and I'd be very surprised if he stays.
05:30I'd be a little bit more positive than that. Well, look, they can read the quotes,
05:35read the quotes tonight, potentially, about that. Well, they weren't in the embargo section,
05:39so by the time this video's up, they should be up, I think. Yeah, so they'll be out there.
05:44Yeah, I just can't see... Pablo, good to see you. He's a nice guy. He's a decent lad,
05:49but I just can't see him sticking around. They need a blend of what he said. He said, look,
05:54the new youth in there as well, don't they? He was very much strong in that. The balance is important,
05:57yeah. And with Sameda, look, we've been very consistent on Sameda from the very beginning.
06:00Back in December, we reported Wolves were making efforts to try and keep hold of him,
06:03but it was probably unlikely. That's then developed into, it's not going to happen,
06:07I don't think he's going. And then as the story's developed, we've stayed on top of it the whole
06:11way through, and in the recent weeks, it's become slightly more possible that he can stick around.
06:15Vitor's desire to keep him is going to be massive, and the player is open to the opportunity.
06:19He's talked about it, Sameda. Yeah, exactly. The player's open to it,
06:21the player's said there's conversations, but the player has options as well, and the player's
06:25making, the ball's in his court, the player's making a decision, so that will base it really,
06:30and also the money the Wolves are offering, which will hopefully be able to be attacked.
06:33Jeez. He's in my ear. Wow, absolutely. That was right in my face, that was horrible.
06:40Anyway, ever the profession. Don't do that. This video's all over the shock, isn't it?
06:44It's all over the shock, yeah. Still good content, though. Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
06:47Yeah, the ball's in the player's court, and that will be sort of the deciding factor, really.
06:53But yeah, I want to keep an eye on. We'll keep up with this developing story,
06:56and we'll see how it goes in the next few weeks. Another developing story,
06:58and one we discussed on the podcast this morning. Bite-sized podcast, 45 minutes,
07:02but I think it's a nice one if you listen to it. We'll record again at the back end of this week.
07:06But yes, DBET or DBET, Wolves' sponsor across the front of their chest this season and next season as well.
07:22Look, a little bit undecided what was happening. We were trying to find some information out today about
07:26the future of them, the future of their sponsorship, not just next season, like I said,
07:30for these final two games as well. Any latest developing news on that?
07:35Yes, we said in the poddy that we were trying to find some more news today.
07:38So if you listen to that poddy, ignore pretty much most of that section.
07:41Because as we admitted at the time, we needed to try and get some answers as to a few questions we had.
07:47The answers are, we are expecting the shirt sponsor DBET to be on the shirt for the next two games,
07:52tomorrow and Brentford. We're not expecting any change there.
07:55And we're also expecting them to fulfil next season and their contract for next season,
08:00which will be the final year of that contract. Obviously, the rule changes on gambling sponsors
08:03after that in the Premier League. But we're expecting that not to change.
08:06The reasons being, it's quite complicated to be honest. You need to be a sort of gambling law expert
08:10to know all the jargon. Or a gambling addict.
08:12Or that as well. Not me. The long and short bit is essentially that even if they don't have a UK
08:19licence, provided they don't cater to UK customers, it can still be legal and for Wolves to have it as a sponsor.
08:25And there are examples out there of other football clubs having done that. So the precedent is there,
08:29essentially. So from Wolves' perspective, as long as the club are confident that they're not
08:34breaking any rules, which they are, then they will remain the sponsor. So we're not expecting any
08:38change there. And the story probably ends there, unless there are any further developments.
08:43Yeah, it's good to get clarification. But of course, the most important thing is hopefully a win
08:46tomorrow night. Yes.
08:47Score predictions.
08:49I'm going to stick with what I said on the poddy. I think Palace make a fair few changes,
08:53and I think Wolves come away 2-0 victors.
08:55And Wolves just Larson for Geddes?
08:57I think so. Just Larson for Geddes. I can't see any other changes there.
09:00Bellegarde, Sarabia, Rodrigo Gomez, probably the three in line maybe, if you're going to name
09:05someone else. But no, for me, Larson, one change, Geddes, back on the bench, way along.
09:10Let's do it.
09:12Wow. That's true, isn't it?
09:14You are great. Come on.
09:16I think there's going to be a couple of changes.
09:18Ooh, okay.
09:19I'm just not sure what they are. I would go with exactly the team that you've picked there.
09:24I'm not sure whether Santiago Bueno gets a bit of a shout. I wouldn't be completely surprised.
09:28I wouldn't be completely surprised if Rodrigo Gomez, we might see him tomorrow night.
09:33I think he's been chomping at the bit, and I could see Crystal Palace. He's talked about getting different players out.
09:39They lost their kind of momentum, their identity against the Brighton.
09:43I just wonder whether Rodrigo Gomez might get a shout tomorrow night.
09:45But we shall see. I'm going to go for a 2-1 win.
09:47What's the most important thing is that myself and Miss Salim Keane will be there early tomorrow in London,
09:53sampling the hospitality of London before we turn up tomorrow night at Selhurst Park.
09:59Join us then, and we shall see you tomorrow.
