00:00Let's try to outline some players that if we can get them now,

00:02the next 112 games are going to really be,

00:07they're going to pay off for us, Joe.

00:08Who's first on the list?

00:10Yeah, we got to start with Brian Reynolds,

00:11who's just puzzling at this point.

00:14A guy who is so solid, right?

00:17You're talking back-to-back years, 2023, 2024.

00:2024 homers in both seasons.

00:2284 RBI in one, 88 in the other.

00:24He's going to steal about 10 to 12 bases.

00:26He's going to hit between 265, 275.

00:28I mean, you could set the watch to him.

00:32He's been so good.

00:33Something has happened here with Brian Reynolds.

00:35I don't know what's going on, but it has not been good.

00:37I don't know if it's personal stuff.

00:39I don't know if it's just sometimes you struggle

00:41and then it just manifests itself.

00:43But if you look at the Savant page, it's far better.

00:47So there's encouraging signs here,

00:49but the first 50 games were very discouraging.

00:51Just six home runs, three stolen bases,

00:53hitting 203 over that span.

00:55Now, he does have 24 RBI in 18 runs,

00:57and so I think there's reason for at least some sort of expectation.

01:01The good news is, despite hitting 212 as of recording this today,

01:06his expected batting average is at 260.

01:08The expected slugging, which is at 335 right now,

01:11the expected slugging is at 491.

01:14So a lot of this has been bad luck.

01:16The barrel percentage is really good when you look at him.

01:18The chase rate's still okay.

01:20The hard hit rate is above average.

01:22So I just think it's a matter of he's in a bad slump

01:24and sometimes just kind of spirals out of control in itself.

01:28Baseball is a very tough game.

01:30It's a tough mental game too.

01:31And it's just not a lot of good lineup protection either

01:33to help Brian Reynolds snap out of the spunk.

01:35But I think eventually he will.

01:36And I think he is one of the best buys you can make

01:39because you know the rest of season you get a 260 hitter

01:42who's probably got another, what, like, you know,

01:4515 home runs in him and probably another five, six stolen bases.

01:49And I think that at least, if not seven or eight,

01:52I think this is still a player you want to buy in on.

01:54And I think a good second half, especially in points leagues,

01:56would be a target here in the outfield.
