00:00Oh, I think there are a number of positives today. I think Ishan Kishan played a very mature innings.
00:06He certainly held the innings together for us. Obviously, our batters assessed the wicket and we felt it was a very nice wicket to bat on and that a large score was going to be required.
00:17So we maintained that aggressive approach, but it was still important to have an in batter in at the very end to ensure that we could capitalise on those last few overs.
00:27So I think as a batting unit, we maintained the course. Ishan, again, excellent innings from him and we also had some good contributions throughout.
00:38So I think it was, again, I think the last two matches, our batting performance has been very solid and we've been able to achieve large scores and match-winning scores.
00:48I think we'll always be aggressive and always be positive, but we'll always try and be smart as well
01:18a score of 170 or 180 might be a match-winning score. So we've never seeked to try and make over 200 every innings, but if we believe that the surface is good enough and our batters can get some partnerships together, then you can get those match-winning scores.
01:32Probably just back to your previous questions, I think from a bowling point of view, it's very tough to bowl on such a good wicket, even though the ground's quite large.
01:42So the wicket was very, very good. And it's like, if you can have some small wins in your bowling innings, and it might just be a ball or it might just be an over,
01:53or I thought Pat Cummins set the tone beautifully at the beginning, it was a little unlucky not to get a wicket early.
01:58And then I think maybe the Eshan Malinga over in the middle there, and then the run-out was certainly very helpful in us being able to achieve what we needed to do as far as restricting them,
02:12because at one stage, at the halfway point, they may have been on target.
02:16Weren't as clinical in the field today. I think we could have been a bit cleaner in the field, but like I said, the highlight was the run-out,
02:24and then obviously getting 10 wickets was a great effort.
02:29And quite a few teams in IPL, we have seen potentially there are two wicket people who are playing in 11,
02:37and there is all of the dilemma home to, you know, keep the tips and home to build in the outside.
02:43So can you still be like, on the dilemma of your team, I think it's like,
02:49that Rassan has kept, you know, in terms of it.
02:51Yeah, we're very fortunate to have two excellent wicket keepers in our side, and they're both excellent fielders.
02:56We just felt, you know, we needed a change, and we felt maybe get classy out and run around out in the field.
03:02He's got a really strong arm, and he can field anywhere in the field.
03:05And we also know how effective Eshan is, Eshan rather, how he is as far as, you know, communicating with bowls and captains.
03:14So he's been really busy behind the stumps, and really sort of trying to help direct some traffic out in the field too.
03:20So, look, we just thought, you know, as we saw today, they both kept.
03:25Eshan wasn't quite healthy at the start before he could come back on a field.
03:28But we're very fortunate to have two excellent wicket keepers, two excellent leaders in their own right.
03:33And so I think the change has worked really well.
03:36As you know, you said, I mean, Eshan's innings, it was, it held the Eshan as an innings.
03:47Yeah.
03:47It was a fighting innings.
03:48So do you think the lack of such an innings in some of the other matches was a major reason for resurgence of the winters?
03:57Oh, it's certainly one of the reasons, yeah, we weren't able to maintain those partnerships and get those match-winning scores.
04:04So I think that's something that we've reflected upon and spoken about.
04:07But don't get me wrong, we've always talked about playing really intelligent and smart cricket, assessing conditions, assessing situations, so we can get a match-winning score.
04:18It hasn't worked as well this season, no doubt, opposition bowling groups have worked very hard in studying us and working out ways in which they'll bowl to us to try and restrict us.
04:29But I suppose it's nice to get a couple of wins on the bounce, and we did play very well back at home when there was a washout.
04:36So we sort of had three good efforts the last three games, and we really would like to finish off our final game against KKR in Delhi and try and finish in the top half of the table.
