A girl in Chennai was hospitalised after she mistook a piece of glass for an ice cube in a sealed boba drink bottle. According to now-deleted LinkedIn post from her mother Jahnavi Sanghavi, the boba drink was purchased from "Frozen Bottle" outlet. Sanghavi also alleged that she had received an insensitive response from "Frozen Bottle" for raising the issue. While Sanghavi's post went viral, she deleted it and wrote a new post on May 22, stating that her daughter is now in good health. "I was contacted by the CEO and legal team of Frozen Bottle. They have taken the matter seriously and assured me that appropriate internal action will be initiated against those who faltered in their duties. The company has also reimbursed the medical expenses and committed to strengthening their quality control measures to avoid such incidents in the future," she said.
