00:00What Does It Say?
00:07Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead while the Jewish leaders plot Jesus' death.
00:12What does it mean? We should note four truths from this passage.
00:171. Suffering has a purpose. Just as with the blind man in chapter 9,
00:23Lazarus' illness would be for the glory of God.
00:262. Jesus loved Lazarus and his family.
00:30His delay in coming to them didn't mean he loved them less.
00:343. God is never late. He performs his will in his time.
00:394. Jesus has power over life and death.
00:42We also see several character traits of Jesus as God.
00:47In verse 11, he's omniscient.
00:49Jesus is life, according to the fifth, I am, statement in verse 25.
00:555. His omnipotence is obvious as he speaks Lazarus to life in verse 43.
01:01How should I respond? Americans hate to wait.
01:05Convenience is bred into our culture.
01:08But times of waiting are opportunities to trust God.
01:12How do you respond when God delays his answer to your heartache?
01:16Don't misinterpret the delay as a lack of love.
01:21Instead, view your circumstances through his love.
01:25What current suffering in your life could be used to strengthen your faith and bring glory to God?
01:30Jesus knows exactly what you're facing and has all power over the situation.
01:36Continue to be faithful.
01:38Wait on the Lord.
01:40Trust that his answer will be right on time.
01:42Trust that his answer remains unique.
01:45Trust that his answer will be right on time.
01:50Trust that his answer will be being tried for another perception.
01:52Trust that his answer will be read on time.
01:56Trust thatčio.
01:57Trust that his answer will not beabeled as the only Cengenst rapidly,
01:58troire on time,
02:02and neverと rather to dig his world on the end.
