Killer at the Crime Scene - Season 4 Episode 7 -
Ildiko Krajnyak
#CinemaJourney
Transcript
00:00there was a report of an explosion with some casualties and a deceased victim
00:08we had no idea if this was a targeted attack or if it was a terrorist attack
00:18we have to put the pieces together to try and figure out what this is is the
00:26victim the actual intended target that is really crucial information you've got
00:31to meticulously go through the layers because that might tell you who your
00:35offender is a very visual public theatrical way was used to kill this
00:46woman and I think that tells us an awful lot about the person who did that please
00:53have to act quickly are they going to strike again detectives will do
00:58everything in their powers to catch that killer at the crime scene
01:23in california the FBI race to the scene of a huge explosion
01:43the damage to this building was massive the walls had come off the side of the
02:03building a lot of glass and debris had been blown outside of the building and
02:08onto the street the ceiling tiles were gone there were wires hanging down from
02:13the ceiling and so the damage itself was quite catastrophic
02:20there's been a huge explosion it's actually really daunting and really
02:24quite scary I would say to attend an incident like this because where do you
02:30start
02:31three women are seriously injured one is presumed dead we needed to mobilize the
02:42entire squad and get more resources down there if it is a deliberate attack
02:47is there a secondary device is a terrorist attack are they looking at
02:52maybe other attacks in the area are they going to make an attack on a rendezvous
02:56point so all these things will be going through your mind as emergency services
03:02search for further casualties two victims are blue lighted to hospital and
03:07specialist officers urgently evacuate the area anytime there's a mass
03:13detonation there's always a risk the first responders were definitely
03:18concerned that there were more attacks coming your concern goes to anyone who's
03:27at that scene
03:31we had tons of individuals from surrounding businesses we had a daycare
03:38across the street children needed to walk by that area in order to evacuate
03:42the first priority was to first of all make sure everyone was safe priority
03:51number two was to find out what happened the epicenter of the blast is a beauty
03:59spa
04:01ready to check out
04:05it's confirmed the blast has claimed the life of Ildiko Kranjak the owner of the
04:16beauty spa she ran the business she operated the business that was a
04:22business that she grew for years and years and years Ildiko first trained as
04:28a beautician in Hungary over 30 years ago everyone had the same descriptions
04:35for her as a person she was very loving and kind she was very lively she was a
04:42good friend to her friend she was always someone that would check in on her
04:47friends on a regular basis her family and her friends and for our surviving
04:52witnesses they will never be the same special agent Ashley Maracle heads to
04:58the hospital to speak to the two injured women given the trauma of what had
05:03occurred the details that those two surviving victims remembered were
05:09remarkable they were receiving facials that day from Ildiko who had just got
05:16back from being overseas in Europe she had walked over behind her desk one was
05:23standing approximately four feet away from Ildiko a box was sitting on top of
05:30her desk on the corner the box was about waist level the victim told us that as
05:38Ildiko opened the box the explosion occurred she saw a bright white light
05:48that was brighter than anything she's ever seen and was able to describe the
05:53sounds the smells it's always difficult speaking with witnesses who will be
06:00traumatized for life they saw a white smoke leave the building area after the
06:06device exploded those are all very important factors and determining the
06:10type of device this was at that point we knew that it was a package bombing that
06:17changed our entire mindset that told me that this was a deliberate act and it's
06:24even more of a motivation to try and solve this type of crime to get Ildiko
06:29justice once evacuated CSI's are safe to enter the crime scene something in
06:38that box has caused the explosion we now have important evidence that we need to
06:42find within that scene you've got to meticulously take apart the area and go
06:48through the layers because obviously sometimes in an explosion there's a lot
06:52of things that fall on top of where the explosions happened so actually the
06:55device that's been detonated might actually be under a pile of rubble so
07:00sometimes it's not immediately obvious where something's happened at the same
07:04time there's so much that's going on in the background there's so much more
07:08going on with the detectives whilst the CSI's are examining the scene we knew
07:13Ildiko was out of town in Europe a week before the bombing occurred so we did
07:20not know if the package was addressed to our victim or if it was placed there
07:27we need to determine was she the target and so the victimology to learning
07:34everything we can their habits their work professional personal history
07:39financial history all those things come into play that is really crucial
07:43information it's almost like a starburst of information they're looking for her
07:49mobile phone where's her computer we were very interested in people who had
07:53access to her schedule we have to keep an open mind and let the evidence take
07:58us drive us is Ildiko the actually intended victim has she had an argument
08:04with somebody who are the customers at the shop who's her partner or who's her
08:08ex-partner is there anyone that's got a grudge against her
08:20in Aliso Viejo California popular businesswoman Ildiko Kranjak has been
08:27killed by a parcel bomb which has obliterated her beauty spa Magia
08:32Cosmetica it's really important when you have the scene of an explosion that you
08:38don't just concentrate on that area itself because an explosion scene
08:43creates a huge amount of energy and therefore there may be debris and
08:48damage quite a long way from the actual site of the explosion so we would look
08:55at the furthest building that's been damaged or the furthest vehicle that's
08:58been damaged or the furthest bit of debris that you can find where it's
09:01been flung out from the scene and then go further than that so go into the 25
09:06or 30 or 40 meters to ensure that everything is captured within that scene
09:10but it's scattered over such a large area it's a big job as CSI search
09:17through the wreckage detectives investigate whether anyone would have
09:22intended to target Ildiko anytime that you have a homicide of this nature it's
09:30it's devastating this was devastating to her family and her friends she was
09:36described as a wonderful human being who was cherished by her family and her
09:42friends alike it's always difficult to cope with the loss of life especially in
09:48such a brutal way that this crime was for Ildiko and our surviving victims
09:56getting them closure obtaining justice for them for this crime was something
10:05that we worked very hard for all these different scenarios go through your mind
10:10as an investigator where you have to put the pieces together to try and figure
10:15out what this is investigators appeal for help catching the bomber a few hours
10:25after the explosion occurred there was a press release asking for anybody with
10:29information to contact the authorities a man called into the Orange County
10:35Sheriff's tip line I saw ABC News story you know there was like an explosion or
10:42something I said no that's our building and that's our suite he said that he had
10:50some ownership into the business you know I'm going like what the hell is
10:54going on I'm sorry you said it's your suite you say you were at that suite
10:58yeah Ildiko Krajniak and I are both on the lease the man is 59 year old
11:05aspiring actor Stephen Beale we didn't know if this device was intended for him
11:10actually he could be targeted as well or maybe he was the target we sent
11:16investigators to his residence to keep eyes on it to make sure that he was safe
11:22on arrival at his home 30 miles from the crime scene investigators have
11:28immediate concerns one of the things that the investigators that arrived at
11:33his house notice was that he also had received some packages at his house
11:38there were not only packages outside but mr. Beale had brought some packages
11:43inside the house and so immediately they called back and notified the command
11:49post the team decided to contact mr. Beale via phone and asked him to come
11:57outside to speak with them and not to touch any of the packages Stephen can
12:03they go inside and take a look at those packages please the packages are on the
12:07left side of the front door right inside the door right as you open the
12:11door the packages are to the left and so our bomb technicians went into the
12:16residence pursuant to consent to check those boxes he revealed that he was
12:24expecting these packages those packages you're expecting them today I'm
12:28expecting them yeah okay FBI bomb technicians declare them as safe they
12:33also asked if they could search the house for anything dangerous I think it's
12:39gonna hurt me hurt my partner inside there no detectives asked Stephen about
12:45his relationship with Ildiko well Ildiko and I were close and not only
12:51that but I know more about her than probably 95% of the people that you
12:55could talk to Stephen Beale said that Ildiko was his ex-wife Stephen Beale a
13:02widow and Ildiko who was separated from her husband first met online in 2016
13:10they soon became embedded in each other's lives
13:27soon the couple are spending almost all their time together
13:41the couple went on luxurious holidays visiting Portugal Mexico and Canada
13:51within a year they co-signed a business lease for the beauty spa magia
13:56cosmetica that business was primarily Ildiko's that was a business that she
14:02operated prior to meeting Stephen Beale Stephen tells officers he can think of
14:09no reason why anyone would target Ildiko or the beauty spa your whole
14:14deal is means motive and opportunity and I don't know anybody that has the motive
14:19but investigators have concerns of Stephen's account we learned that they
14:24were never married so that was definitely a red flag and concern we
14:29couldn't understand why would you inflate that or lie about that
14:34statistically women more likely to get killed by a partner or former partner so
14:41the police will be looking at that relationship as detectives delve deeper
14:47specialists look for any leads to identify the bomber we said we cannot
14:54get tunnel vision I was still worried that there was somebody out there we
15:00did not know if the package was addressed to our victim or if it was
15:05placed there if it was mailed there
15:11one of the things that we did immediately was contact your Amazon's
15:17the United States Postal Service UPS anyone who delivered packages to that
15:23commercial building we had other teams canvassing neighborhoods doing searches
15:29for CCTV there were video cameras on the building where Ildiko spa was
15:36located however unfortunately those cameras were not functional they were
15:42not working but we found a camera that was affixed to the front of the nursery
15:49school located across the street it didn't capture much of the building but
15:56it captured the street in front of the building where the explosion occurred as
16:01digital forensics analyzed the footage CSI is meticulously searched through the
16:06evidence at the scene the scenes like this will be gridded off and then every
16:12bit of evidence within one grid would be recovered these are then put in a
16:16container or a plastic tub and then that's evidence that needs to be
16:20meticulously searched through to see if there's any things that might be a part
16:24of a device so you might be looking for bits of wire you might be looking for
16:28watches or hands of a watch or batteries the team needs to determine
16:35which chemicals were used to create the explosion once we know what chemicals
16:41might have been used might be able to match those who a second team and
16:45therefore you might have evidence that can link your suspect to your initial
16:50crime scene so CSI's would take soil samples from areas where some of the
16:56chemicals or some of the debris might have landed we took samples pretty much
17:01anywhere that when the explosion went out and up we collected it and sent it
17:06back to the FBI lab for analysis as detectives wait up to 36 hours for the
17:12results at Stephen Beals home they're confronted with an alarming discovery
17:22in plain view they saw containers of chemicals they were containers of
17:31oxidizers and fuels that are commonly used to make explosives one of our most
17:37senior bomb technicians said it's the most explosive chemicals he's seen in a
17:41residence in his entire career at that point we obtained a search warrant we
17:51wanted to find out more information I wanted to get those chemicals back to
17:57get analyzed as soon as possible obviously as an investigator anytime you
18:02have an explosive event and you go to the residence of someone who knows the
18:08victim and there's chemicals present that can be used to make an explosion
18:13obviously this piques your interest with questions to answer Stephen Beal arrives
18:19at the sheriff's office the day after the bombing mr. Beal said he wanted to
18:24speak with the investigators about basically what happened real quick
18:28before we started just wanna you're here voluntarily you're free to end the
18:32interview at any time okay you're not under arrest okay
18:35I appreciate that thank you for that Mr. Beal told them the reason why he had all these
18:40explosive materials you know where that all comes from rocketry because I used to
18:46build rockets I don't know what's in my garage I don't know what chemicals they
18:50found but there's stuff around it that was you know relevant to that hobby
18:58would someone with your type of experience be able to convert that into
19:03something on a bigger scale I saw the devastation you know in the pictures and
19:09news reports I have no idea how you would put something together that would
19:14cause something like that I mean I don't know I don't know what how you would go
19:20about doing that that looks like a like a c4 sort of explosion or something
19:24there's a lot of damage yeah and unless unless the package that she was opening
19:30was very large I can't imagine anything creating that sort of yeah you know that
19:36having that sort of impact why would you assume it was a package that she opened
19:41because it's in the news reports that she opened a package it said it was a
19:46package detectives believe Ildiko was opening the mail that arrived while
19:52she'd been away overseas how do you know she was back in the US I have access to
19:59her schedule I'm the business manager for her we'll get that share calendars
20:04yes I wanted to obviously know what his whereabouts were was there any bad blood
20:11between him and Ildiko detectives request Beals cell site data and phone
20:17records while forensics searches home and car when you search in a vehicle you
20:25need to think about is there anything in that vehicle that would link it to
20:29your crime scene it's not only with the vehicle be fingerprinted in particular
20:34areas swap for DNA there would also be a search for any component parts of the
20:39device or any chemicals within that vehicle you'd also swap it for any
20:43remnants of the chemicals and any swabs that are taken are sent off to a
20:47forensic scientist for analysis as searches at Beals home continue
20:53detectives focus on the couple's relationship looking for any reason he
20:59would want to harm her what we were able to see going through their text messages
21:04was that it appeared as though their relationship started to sour around
21:12February of 2018 so just a few months prior to the bombing there was evidence
21:25on the digital devices of a potential breakup they all realized that Ildiko
21:31was pulling away from him there was constant texting and calling he's just
21:41throwing all of this attention at her just like he did in the beginning of the
21:46relationship he is trying to claw back that relationship we also located audio
21:54recordings where mr. Beal would profess his love for Ildiko my dear Ildiko I
22:01love you for the way you make me feel when I'm with you I love your eyes I
22:05love your smile and I love your voice I love how I would do anything for you to
22:11make you happy I love how I know you'll always be there when I need you to be I
22:17love the way I can't imagine a day without you in my life he throws all of
22:23these romantic messages at her it's very intense and it's gonna be very
22:28obsessive if happiness were like the flowers of June then I would take the
22:33best of them and bind them in your hair we can see the love bombing which is a
22:39pattern of behavior designed to trap someone in a relationship he's got all
22:46his identity invested in this relationship which is why it's so very
22:51difficult when that relationship ends but it's all sign of that real obsession
22:58and that makes this person incredibly dangerous
23:09FBI are talking with Steven Beal about the bomb attack on his ex-girlfriend
23:17Ildiko Kranjak while CSI's search the crime scene and Beal's home they've
23:25uncovered a wealth of obsessive messages and poems
23:30I love how when I dream of my life partner the only person that I can see
23:42is you Ildiko's friends said that she was feeling trapped in her relationship
23:49with Beal but as she began to feel more trapped and suffocated by him and the
23:55relationship she realized that leaving was not going to be easy he could see
24:02Ildiko pulling away from him he was losing control and he responded really
24:09badly
24:16he's turning up when she doesn't really want him there he basically started to
24:22stalk her so and the stalkers are obsessive people
24:33as the case against Beal grows detectives still need a forensic link to
24:40connect him to the crime scene at the bombsite hidden within the layers of
24:50debris CSI's have a breakthrough in the floorboard directly above the seat of
24:56the blast embedded in the wood was such force the evidence response team found
25:03very small pieces of a yellow wire the yellow insulation the wire was separated
25:09and jagged and melted like it was exposed to extreme heat that wire was
25:16within close intimate contact of the device which was possibly used to help
25:20power it we have experts at the FBI lab that only specialize in metals and they
25:30specialize in plastics we were able to determine that this is not your everyday
25:37wiring it is unique in the type of copper and insulation that it had it had
25:44a very unique signature however wiring can be made all over the world and it's
25:51extremely difficult to pinpoint it to this exact manufacturer also embedded in
25:58the floorboards they recover some metal fragments we later determined that they
26:03were battery cells of a 9-volt battery which initial training and experiences
26:08that that battery was extremely close to the device when it went off and the
26:16wrapping called the jacket of the battery was actually flayed open it was
26:22a battery jacket of a CVS which is a pharmacy store here in the United States
26:26so we immediately collected all those and send them back to the FBI lab this
26:32is the casing of a battery I'm just gonna swap the outside surface in the
26:39hope that you might get some DNA the purposes of this we use a pointy swab
26:44because you can get into the nooks and crannies so the battery casing of course
26:52because it's been an explosion you might find some chemical contaminants on this
26:56and especially on this you get some such where the explosions happened
27:03let's have a look at it under the magnifying glass just to see if I can
27:06see any markings on there it would identify make model any serial numbers
27:14on it I remember vividly I was in the hallway outside of our command post I
27:21got a call from the explosive examiner there's some unique numbers on each
27:26cell and myself and the other investigators immediately became
27:32battery experts and we were able to contact the vendor we contacted the
27:37shipper and we eventually found out where these batteries were made and
27:43they're made in a factory we knew at time what belt they were made on when
27:48they were shipped to the United States we learned that the CVS battery was part
27:54of that initial pallet of approximately 13,000 batteries that arrived in Los
27:59Angeles just a few months before the bombing occurred an intelligence team
28:06worked to narrow down which of the 1,200 CVS stores in California the bomber
28:12could have brought it from the police can access transactions made what
28:17direct debit might have been made recent purchases detectives are trying to find
28:22out who's actually purchased that one battery can you match it up to where
28:26it's being bought and purchased because that might tell you who your offender is
28:30so yeah it changed everything for us to say it was a significant part of the
28:37investigation is in my mind an understatement it was the investigation
28:42in my opinion the FBI bring on extra resources to delve into Beals records
28:48and see whether he could have bought the 9-volt battery on his devices the
28:54digital forensic team uncovers some damning files one of the things that we
29:00located was a log of his dates with Ildico and the amount of time that was
29:05spent on each date it appeared to be somewhat obsessive behavior so for us
29:12that was very telling in what he saw their relationship to be and how
29:18invested in this relationship he was when a controlling person's in a
29:23relationship they will want that relationship to be as formal and
29:28committed as they can possibly get it they also find a draft of a new will
29:35changing the sole beneficiary from his children to Ildico this is making that
29:42relationship as close to a marriage a formal marriage as you can get putting
29:49every single tick in every single box that means that Ildico now has
29:56responsibilities towards him and he has rights over them which is why it's so
30:02very difficult when that relationship ends he's feeling a sense of injustice
30:07because how dare she leave me so the way to resolve that through maybe killing
30:12them with Stephen Beale the prime suspect for Ildico's murder detectives
30:21still need to find forensic evidence to link him to the crime scene they keep
30:28him talking as they continue to interrogate his digital footprint when
30:36we first started dating for months and months and months and months she had her
30:40phone set up so that you know I if I wanted to log into her phone I could
30:44yeah and I never you know never pursued that other than to you know go into her
30:50schedule and then she just for seemingly no reason she changed her password and
30:58wouldn't tell me what what the new password was and this was part of the
31:02confrontation about about that she tried to almost break it gently to him no
31:09we're not in a formal relationship no we are not exclusive no break those
31:16ties of control but of course he recognized immediately what was
31:22happening and as soon as they start to feel that they start to become more
31:28dangerous an urgent call comes in from the forensic lab the chemicals found at
31:37Beale's home address match the same types of explosives be found in the
31:43samples from the actual site of the explosion also the same chemical traces
31:48were found in the vehicle and that means that this vehicle it could have been
31:52used to transport the incendiary device or it could have been used to transport
31:58chemicals that have been used in the manufacturing of the device with Beale's
32:04former hobby in rocketry the chemical match is not enough evidence to charge
32:08him in any homicide you're looking for any person or persons that has first of
32:18all a motive to do something do they actually have the capability and the
32:23opportunity to do it the means to do it in speaking with mr. Beale during the
32:28interviews was that he learned that Ildiko had begun dating other people I
32:33met this guy in Sacramento that you were mentioning so what can you tell me about
32:37him I'm pretty sure they met on a dating site she'd been up there a couple of
32:46times at least I said the way to go meet him yeah so how do you find that out um I
32:54confronted her with some changes in her behavior the issue was for me why are
33:01you trying to hide it she'd come to me and said you know I really think that I
33:07want to like open up our relationship a little bit I don't want to be exclusive
33:11I want to you know date other men I wouldn't say okay uh you know we
33:17ultimately had that discussion okay that's fine we'll do that but it was the
33:23hiding it that was a plan to see someone like Beale is going to be
33:29constantly looking at the relationship and seeing how strong their control is
33:32that conversation was the proof that he was losing his control
33:41when somebody controlling like Beale starts to see the situation is
33:46irreversible or irretrievable this person's never coming back and that's
33:51when the problems really started for Ildiko we tend to get then the threat
33:58of I'll kill myself if you leave we can't be apart
34:07but we know that he had no intentions whatsoever of ever leaving Ildiko and
34:14he had no intentions of ever letting her leave him and according to the
34:21research the most common phrase used by these partners is if I can't have you no
34:29one can as an investigator when you're hearing all these little fragments of
34:35information information about a fight information about feeling hurt and
34:40betrayed information about disagreements all of those things are
34:45pieces of the puzzle that can be put together to establish a motive for a
34:52crime then Beale's interview is interrupted
34:59the bomb technicians that were still searching mr. Beale's house when the
35:04interview was going on called back to the command post and advised that there
35:09was a possible explosive device found in mr. Beale's attic in a backpack the
35:18bomb technicians tested the backpack is this an explosive device is the
35:22chemicals energetic and they reported back that the preliminary test were do
35:29you know what was in your attic what attic was there an attic space in your
35:34house right above my bedroom yeah okay was there a backpack up there
35:39terminal so can I ask you a question Steven I'm gonna ask you about that if
35:44you said what attic I you know there's an attic in your home well yeah I know
35:48there's an attic in my home but there's also the space that's above the pool
35:51room you know what I'm getting at but all right so you're saying that you
35:56found stuff up in the attic mm-hmm backpack that looked like it was
35:59recently placed up there considering attics are fairly dusty places given
36:06what we knew at the time the recommendation for public safety was to
36:12arrest mr. Beale for having that device
36:18Beale is held in custody but to charge him with murder they still need forensic
36:25evidence to link him to the crime scene it's pertinent that police forces and
36:31police officers act quite quickly all of a sudden this investigation of an
36:35explosion is massive and you're gonna have a lot of detectives specifically
36:40working on the digital side of the investigation digital investigations
36:44form part of mobile phone downloads text messages photographs we need to find
36:49enough evidence to charge them it is a huge undertaking we had an entire team
36:56looking at his financial records as well
37:04one transaction stands out just a few days before the bombing on May 8th we
37:12located that mr. Beale went to an ATM in Long Beach California and not too far
37:17from his home we got CCTV and the financial records of mr. Beale getting
37:23cash out of that ATM we had a detective from the Los Angeles Police Department
37:27who knew that area and he knew that there's a CVS right across the street we
37:32knew this battery found at the scene could not have been purchased before of
37:36March 2018 the detectives went to CVS made contact with the store manager I
37:42remember when I received the phone call when something significant in the world
37:47happens you remember where you're at this is one of them for me
38:01FBI investigating the murder of Ildiko Kranjak believe they're on the verge of
38:07a forensic breakthrough
38:13we knew that we were looking for a purchase of a CVS 9-volt battery that we
38:22believed was used to power the device that was the focus of our investigation
38:26at that point a local detective believes he's worked out which of the 1,200 CVS
38:33stores in California the battery was bought from the detectives went to see
38:37the store manager showed a picture of mr. Beale
38:51and they were able to locate mr. Beale purchasing one single 9-volt battery
38:57from that CVS that moment was that definitely changed everything there was
39:06enough evidence to prove the unreasonable doubt to charge him may
39:12take a while but we will find the evidence and with such a massive scene
39:17of destruction one tiny little battery is all we need to prove what's happened
39:22and in this case that's what proved the crime we now have to prove to a court
39:29beyond all reasonable doubt that that offender did that crime after weeks of
39:36cross-referencing Beale's data the digital team have plotted his movements
39:42three days after Ildiko left for her trip overseas Beale buys three boxes
39:52which match the size of the one housing the bomb his cell site data then
39:59indicates he went to Ildiko's spa while reviewing that CCTV from a camera it
40:06captured the street in front of the building where the explosion occurred
40:11there was a vehicle that matched Stephen Beale's
40:17after buying the CVS battery Beale's cell site data and CCTV show him going
40:27back to the spa we didn't have just one piece of evidence we had little tiny
40:33pieces of a puzzle that we were able to put together to create a story that told
40:39us he was responsible for delivering this package bomb to Ildiko's spa once
40:47Beale realized that Ildiko did not want to be in a relationship with him he went
40:53out and bought all of the items that he needed to build an explosive device we
40:59see him deciding almost immediately that the way he was going to resolve this was
41:04to kill Ildiko and then we see the meticulous planning of how he was going
41:11to achieve that four years after the bombing Stephen Beale faces trial I do
41:19believe that no stone was unturned it's hard to comprehend such a small device
41:25could cause such damage so we wanted to show using the exact same box the exact
41:30same chemicals that were found and used in the bombing what that looks like we
41:36wanted to recreate a similar type of explosion
41:44kind of gave the jury a sense of how destructive this actually really was
41:55it's hard to speculate what people are thinking but I can say you can hear a
41:59pin drop in the courtroom
42:12a very visual public theatrical way was used to kill this woman and I think that
42:22tells us an awful lot about the man who did that he wants recognition he wants
42:29to be seen he probably feels like he's not given enough status by society all
42:36of those kinds of things after just two hours the jury finds Stephen Beale
42:44guilty of the murder of Ildiko Kranjak he's sentenced to life in prison with a
42:52minimum of 30 years I don't think I'll ever forget it there's so many unique
43:01things about this case and one of them being the two victims who survived the
43:06impact that this had on so many others there are people that either witnessed
43:12this or knew somebody involved and they get scared every time Amazon drops off a
43:17package of their house I think the long-term effects and the damage is more
43:23significant than I think most people realize Ildiko is described as a really
43:32bubbly friendly outgoing popular woman a life and soul of the party really she
43:41was clever she was skilled she was working in an area where she had to have
43:48loads of social skills you make relationships with people and we might
43:54think that that's not the type of person who could be killed by a partner or
43:59former partner but anyone absolutely anyone can become a victim the
44:08catastrophic miss of the explosion and the devastation that occurred to Ildiko
44:14and our surviving victims it's devastating I've lived here my whole
44:20life and this is the first experience I've ever had with with a bombing in
44:25this area it will never be the same
44:38you
