00:07begin with, it's because the Green Bay Packers proposed it to the league, with their reasons

00:11being player safety and pace of play.

00:13While the vote was to effectively ban the tush push, the actual terminology used by

00:17the Packers was to ban an offensive player from pushing a teammate who is lined up directly

00:22behind the snapper and receives the snap immediately at the snap, aka the tush push.

00:27Anyway, after about a month and a half of heated arguments, NFL owners decided to not

00:31ban the tush push, which means Jalen Hurts can continue to get a first down every single

00:35time the yardage is pretty much under a yard.

00:38How do I feel about the decision?

00:39I definitely agree with it.

00:40I don't see anything wrong with the tush push.

00:42The Packers cited safety as the issue, but we don't actually have any facts that the

00:46tush push is any more dangerous than any short yard situations.

00:49I mean, when we already QB sneak, this is just another player pushing from behind.
