Uri (J&K), May 20, 2025 (ANI): Indian Army conducted a free medical camp in the border area of Gingal located in the Uri sector of Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir to aid civilians affected by Pakistani shelling on May 20. The initiative was aimed at providing timely medical assistance and essential healthcare services to the local population, many of whom sustained injuries or were facing health issues due to the ongoing cross-border hostilities. The camp was equipped with a team of qualified doctors, paramedics, and support staff who attended to a large number of patients, offering general health checkups, treatment for injuries, and distributing medicines free of cost. Special attention was given to vulnerable groups such as children, elderly people, and pregnant women, ensuring comprehensive care and relief. This outreach is part of the Indian Army’s continuous efforts under its ‘Operation Sadbhavna’ initiative, which seeks to win hearts and minds and foster goodwill among the people living in conflict-prone areas. The camp not only addressed the immediate medical needs of the residents but also served to boost morale and reassure the civilian population of the Army’s unwavering support.
