00:06But cinema is kind of magical

00:08I look at this movie

00:10And I just kind of

00:14Even as we're shooting it

00:16Even the first rehearsals

00:17They would sit around a table

00:18It was Truffaut, you and Schiffman

00:22They happened to be there at the same time

00:24And I had them talk

00:25And they were just talking amongst themselves

00:26We had a little script

00:27And I was like

00:28All these years of thinking about

00:30I knew this film's going to work

00:32I believe them

00:34I believe I'm hanging out with those people

00:36And then so we just added the rest of the cast

00:38There's something pure and innocent

00:42I mean, I love Godard

00:43He's clearly a

00:44He had such an interesting brain

00:47It's amazing he got to make films

00:49I think it speaks to this generation of new freedom

00:52That a guy like that could make

00:54Films from his own brain and imagination

00:57So unique

00:57You know, it's a great moment in history

00:59But as far as

01:00You know, I just think

01:02Yeah, everybody

01:02He threw off people

01:03Male and female

01:05You know, I think

01:06That like

01:06What was

01:06You know, I wasn't

01:07He kept everybody

01:08I think the way he communicated or something

01:10So I had opinions about him

01:13Just based on

01:13It seemed kind of a personality

01:15But the wonderful thing about making this movie

01:17I met so many people

01:19Who knew him

01:21And I hear another side of him

01:23How generous he was

01:24What I hear over and over

01:25How generous he was

01:26How positive he was

01:27You know, I think it was
