Today's contestants are John & Paula Cloud from London, Joy Moses & Graham Keller from Yorkshire, Anne Nicholls & David Hussy from Somerset & Suffolk, and Keith & Nicky Salsbury from Worcestershire. Bruce Forsyth guides them through the games, assisted by the lovely Rosemary Ford, and among the games are "Horsing Around" (putting a saddle on a horse that steals the show with his antics with Brucie), "Weather or Not" (playing at presenting the weather that proves farcical), "Draw and Score" (drawing Films for their team mate to guess), and "A Bundle of Joy" (bundling hay). The finale is a saucy spoof on Toulouse Lautrec that is great fun and sees both remaining teams give their all. It proves a very tough call for judge Gareth Hunt to make, but who will he pick?

00:00Life is the name of the game, and I want to play the game with you.
00:20Life can be terribly pain if you don't play the game with two.
00:21And I want to play the game with you.
00:22How kind of you, thank you, thank you so much, good evening ladies, gentlemen and children,
00:41welcome to the generation game, nice to see you, to see you, nice, well this week I went
00:47to see my doctor for my annual checkup.
00:50Well, ask me what happened.
00:53Come on, come on, get together. After three. One, two, three.
00:57What happened?
00:59I thought you'd never ask.
01:01Well, I was standing there in my shorts and he kept looking me up and down
01:04and I said to him, I said, is there something wrong?
01:07He said, no, you've just reminded me that I must get some meat for the dog on the way home.
01:11LAUGHTER
01:14Well, he checked me all over. In fact, he checked places I didn't know I had.
01:19And then he said, I'd like you to go on a long cruise for health reasons.
01:24I said, what health reasons? He said, you make me sick.
01:27LAUGHTER
01:29But here's someone who always makes me feel better,
01:32the gorgeous, the lovely, Rosemary Ford!
01:35CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
01:42Mwah, mwah, mwah!
01:44Just a minute, why are you so excited?
01:47Well, I've just won a karaoke contest.
01:49Oh, that's wonderful. What did you win?
01:51£50. £50?
01:53I wouldn't mind going into that myself.
01:55I mean, I've got a number that always brings the house down the way I do it.
01:58It's Way Out Man. Yeah?
02:00Hey, little hen,
02:02when, when, when,
02:04will you lay me an egg for my egg?
02:07LAUGHTER
02:09Hey, little hen.
02:11APPLAUSE
02:13You see, I love it.
02:15It's a gentle idea, isn't it?
02:17Sorry.
02:19Is the song a little bit over the top?
02:21Listen, I hate saying this,
02:23but it's, it's not the song that's over the top,
02:26you are, Bruce.
02:28LAUGHTER
02:30How do you...? It's like being in pantomime, isn't it?
02:32LAUGHTER
02:34How do you, how do you mean?
02:36Well, the competition was for the under-25s.
02:39Oh, I see, I see, under-25s.
02:41Yeah, sorry.
02:44Yes!
02:46Well, you should give your 50 quid back.
02:48Why should I give my money back?
02:50Do you want to know how old she is?
02:52Our first team's, hello, our first team's from London,
02:55their father-in-law.
02:57She's been in make-up since six o'clock was small, isn't she?
02:59LAUGHTER
03:01Oh, blimey, did a summer season with Les Dawson,
03:03that puts years on anybody.
03:05God, she was in Cats.
03:07Cats, she used up nine lives.
03:09LAUGHTER
03:11I didn't know that was going on.
03:13Did you?
03:15Was she your first team? Yes, first team, yeah.
03:17They're from London, their father and daughter,
03:20John and Paula Clowes.
03:22APPLAUSE
03:25Oh!
03:27APPLAUSE
03:29We're going to have our seats right here,
03:31and stay right there, thanks, Margaret.
03:33And it's Paula Clowes, and what do you do?
03:35I'm a homeless persons officer.
03:37Oh, really? What does that entail?
03:40Well, that's a very necessary job.
03:42That's beautiful, yes.
03:44You once worked at the social security office.
03:46I bet you got some strange people in there, did you?
03:48Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
03:50LAUGHTER
03:52Mouths leaning forward.
03:54Right. We had a bloke come in once,
03:56and he said,
03:58if you don't give me some money, I'm going to take all my clothes off.
04:01No. So we said, well, you're not entitled to anything,
04:04so you're not getting any money.
04:06So he just did a streak, just took all his clothes off.
04:09Well, didn't you even give him something to cover his arrears?
04:14Now you have a cat called Bruce.
04:16Yeah, named after you. Oh, lovely.
04:18Well, I hope you haven't had him doctored.
04:20Well, actually, we took him to the vet to get him sorted out,
04:24but he turned out to be a girl.
04:32That's charming. Well, I hope you changed his name.
04:34No, because... No?!
04:36Well, it would have been confused.
04:40Well, what about me?
04:42Well, you could have called him Bruce Siller,
04:44or maybe just Siller.
04:46Anyway, he'll love you. He'll get a lot of fun with you, I'm sure.
04:49Over now to your dad, John Clowes.
04:51And what do you do? I'm a carpenter builder.
04:53Oh, yeah, good, good. And you're married for 24 hours?
04:5624 years. Oh, 24 years.
04:58He's a new typist. Right.
05:00To Sheila, that's her name. That's it, yeah.
05:02And tell us about the wedding.
05:04Well, the church is in Stratford,
05:06and the marriage was at 3.30,
05:09and unfortunately, me and my brothers went down to the local pub...
05:12Oh, the old pub.
05:14..and we'd rather Brahms than Liszt.
05:16Oh, were you Brahms and Liszt?
05:18I see. So what happened then?
05:20And I couldn't remember her middle name.
05:22I got rather confused. Oh, so what happened then?
05:24Well, I mean, I kept calling her Elsie, Oosie, Elsie.
05:27What was her name? Elsie.
05:29Well, Elsie, that is a very difficult name when you're a bit...
05:33Sheila Elsie and Sheila Elsie.
05:35Oh, terrible, terrible.
05:37But then everything went smoothly without a hiccup.
05:39Right. I see.
05:41And how about the honeymoon?
05:43Well, we spent that time decorating the flat.
05:45Did you have to do any stripping off first?
05:47Yeah.
05:49That was the decorator's question.
05:51Yeah. I see.
05:53And, oh, you played the piano.
05:55Lovely. What kind of stuff do you play?
05:57Awful. A little bit awful.
05:59Oh, yeah, but what did the family think about it then?
06:01Rubbish. Why?
06:02Well, they put me up in the bedroom.
06:04The piano's next to the bed.
06:05Oh, sure, that's terrible.
06:07So when you wake up at the middle of the night to have a tinkle, you really do.
06:10LAUGHTER
06:12APPLAUSE
06:19I think we're the only ones.
06:20I hope you lift the lid.
06:22LAUGHTER
06:24Right, get off quick. Right.
06:26Thank you very much for being here.
06:28We'll find out who your opponents are.
06:30Here they are. Nice people.
06:32Very nice people.
06:34Lovely.
06:36Now, then, who have we got left?
06:38Our second team's from Yorkshire.
06:40They're aunt and nephew, Joy Moses and Graham Keller.
06:43Right.
06:45APPLAUSE
06:53And it's Joy Moses.
06:55You are a retired perfume consultant.
06:58Oh, no, no, no to that.
07:00That could get right up my...
07:04LAUGHTER
07:07You were... You were married to Glenn for how long?
07:1036 years. 36 years?
07:12Yes. Oh, yeah, well, so the Mrs Moses,
07:14the commandments certainly worked for you, didn't they?
07:17You went to a dance and it proved to be embarrassing.
07:20Well, what happened?
07:21My mother bought me a lovely strapless gown.
07:23Oh, lovely, yes.
07:24Yes, and it was boned.
07:26Oh, yes.
07:27Oh, dear.
07:28So, she stuffed it with stockings...
07:31LAUGHTER
07:33..and cotton wool.
07:35And cotton wool as well?
07:36And cotton wool.
07:37Oh, dear.
07:38And I was doing the samba and my partners threw me in the air
07:41and the stockings and the cotton wool flew off.
07:44LAUGHTER
07:46Oh, dear.
07:47So, what did they say to you?
07:49I mean, what did you think about it all?
07:51They said I'd had the stuffing knocked out of me.
07:53LAUGHTER
07:55APPLAUSE
07:59That's lovely.
08:01Oh, that's fine.
08:02Your ambition is to dance in a flowing gown
08:05to the music Dancing In The Dark
08:07with full orchestra and Fred Astaire.
08:09Yes.
08:10As Fred's gone, you make do with Bruce.
08:13LAUGHTER
08:15Well, thank you for the...
08:16Well, we thought this might be a bit of fun.
08:18Have we got...
08:20It's not a flowing gown,
08:21but if you could just get your head through there...
08:24Don't get it on her glasses, right?
08:26And if we could just...
08:27That flows a bit, doesn't it?
08:29OK, now, darling.
08:30Now, we might dance a bit close on this,
08:32so remember the commandments.
08:33OK?
08:34LAUGHTER
08:36Cue music.
08:38MUSIC PLAYS
08:44Come towards me, come towards me.
08:46LAUGHTER
08:49Now, when you're ready, run and then jump into my arms.
08:53Quick, Les, quick, Les.
08:55LAUGHTER
08:58APPLAUSE
09:16Thank you, Les, you're on double time.
09:18LAUGHTER
09:19Oh, blimey, how long's he been here?
09:21LAUGHTER
09:23He could take over.
09:26Well, you've really...
09:27We don't have to do that again, do we?
09:29LAUGHTER
09:31Lovely, that's a moment to remember.
09:33Right, don't forget.
09:34Right, here we are.
09:36Over to your nephew, Graham Keller.
09:38Married to Sarah.
09:39Tell us about your honeymoon.
09:40We had the reception at a city centre hotel.
09:43Yes.
09:44And we booked a room for the evening, for the night.
09:46But unfortunately, it was got to by some guests
09:49and led by the best man,
09:50and we ended up with sugar in the bed.
09:53Sugar in the bed?
09:54Well, it didn't matter.
09:55It was the honeymoon suite.
09:56LAUGHTER
09:59Well, they're cute.
10:00LAUGHTER
10:01And they're fun.
10:02And they're worth it.
10:03What a honeymoon, four in a bed.
10:05Sarah, you, Tate and Lyle.
10:07LAUGHTER
10:08Anyway, we'll dance again later, dear.
10:10We'll dance the night away.
10:12Thank you for being here.
10:13Over there you go,
10:14cos we've got a very funny announcement.
10:16APPLAUSE
10:18Now, before our first game,
10:20I'd just like to point out that our contestants
10:22have no idea what we have planned for them.
10:24They do not rehearse.
10:26This is their rehearsal.
10:28Now, we're ready for our first game,
10:30which is called Horsing Around.
10:32Here's a lady who's worked in the circus
10:34since she was three years old,
10:36and that's a lot of sawdust.
10:37Please welcome Joan Rosea and Goldie.
10:41APPLAUSE
10:45Well, what a good boy.
10:47What a good boy.
10:48Yes.
10:49He is a good boy.
10:51No, he's not, he's a bad boy tonight.
10:53Right, there we are.
10:54But you see, my face isn't that long, is it?
10:56LAUGHTER
11:02I think I'll come round here, dear.
11:04Don't leave me, don't leave me.
11:06Well, well, well, Joan,
11:09thank you for bringing Goldie here.
11:11Now, what are you going to do for us?
11:13Well, let me see.
11:15For a start...
11:16There we are!
11:17APPLAUSE
11:19Right.
11:20So, what were you going to do?
11:22Well, I'm going to show you how to put on a bridle...
11:24Oh, I see.
11:25..and do up a girth.
11:26I see, lovely, lovely, lovely.
11:27Right, so, to start off with,
11:29I'm going to have to take this bridle off,
11:31because this is a cowboy bridle.
11:33Oh.
11:34And it hasn't got a bit.
11:35Oh, I see.
11:36Well, I suppose cowboys,
11:37when they're in the range for weeks and weeks,
11:39very often have to go without a...
11:41LAUGHTER
11:44Lee!
11:46For goodness' sake, this is educational.
11:49I'll come out there in a minute.
11:51Bridle in the left hand, reins in the right.
11:55Yes? You look over this way.
11:57Yes.
11:58You put the reins over the neck first...
12:00That's it.
12:01..and then you swap hands,
12:03and you put the bridle...
12:05You take hold of the bridle like that.
12:07Do you mind looking round this way? Thank you.
12:09Over here.
12:10And you put the noseband on,
12:12and then you put the bit in the mouth.
12:14Now, you're going to be careful, because horses have teeth.
12:17Yes.
12:18Has he got very nice teeth?
12:19Show them your teeth.
12:20Show your teeth.
12:21Open wide.
12:23Can you see that?
12:24Who is that in my job?
12:26LAUGHTER
12:28You are cruel.
12:29Right.
12:30And what is that? Is that the noseband?
12:32That's the noseband.
12:33Yes, I used to wear one of those when I was a kid.
12:35Yes.
12:36And the...
12:37LAUGHTER
12:39I'll get the whip out to you in a minute.
12:41All right, and that is the...
12:43Carry on.
12:44And that's the...
12:45Can we do the throat lash?
12:46Yes, that goes round there, and you do it up like that,
12:48and just tuck it in neatly.
12:49Good, lovely. I see.
12:50Now...
12:51You can see all right, can you?
12:52This saddle had to have the girth done up before we came in,
12:56because otherwise he would have lost it.
12:59Oh, I see.
13:00It would have fallen off coming in.
13:01Good.
13:02So I'll undo it now and show you.
13:04Yours will be hanging over the back of the horse's saddle.
13:08Yes.
13:09So you bend down,
13:10throw it off first, over the top,
13:12and then pick it up like that,
13:14and then put the straps in the buckles
13:17and tighten it up quite tight.
13:19Yes.
13:20Because if you don't,
13:21the saddle rolls when you put your foot in the stirrup.
13:23There you are.
13:24That's right.
13:25And pull the stirrup down like that.
13:27And then you're all ready to get on.
13:28And you're all ready to go.
13:29OK.
13:30That's all the...
13:31Well, there we are.
13:32Thank you, Joan.
13:33Will you come back to do some marking?
13:34I'd love to.
13:35There's all your things back there.
13:36APPLAUSE
13:37Lovely, lovely.
13:38Off you go.
13:39That's all there is to it.
13:41Aren't you glad you came?
13:42Aren't you?
13:44Aren't you glad you came?
13:45Right.
13:46Now, we've got four lovely animals for you,
13:48so don't worry about...
13:49And they're all from the same stable,
13:51the Forsyth Thoroughbreds stud farm.
13:54And can we have the horses?
13:56Are they there and available?
13:58Yes.
13:59LAUGHTER
14:00Come along.
14:01We'll go to these first two over here.
14:04Get to these first two here.
14:06That's lovely.
14:07In you go there.
14:08Good.
14:09And you've got about a minute to do this.
14:11A minute starting from...
14:13Then.
14:16Now, first...
14:18Get your bit in.
14:20OK?
14:22Get the bit in.
14:26And then...
14:30LAUGHTER
14:35All right.
14:36And don't forget the throat lash.
14:39LAUGHTER
14:42I'll let you know when you should be getting the girth ready.
14:48Are you trying to strangle him, dear?
14:52His head?
14:53By his ears?
14:57Do you want a tyre lever?
15:00OK, how are we doing?
15:01The girth?
15:02Start with getting the...
15:03Get the girth all ready.
15:04The girth, dear.
15:05Get the girth.
15:06Oh, it's gone.
15:07Look.
15:08Try and get the girth ready.
15:10That's it.
15:12And strap it up.
15:13Get that girth on.
15:15Where's she going?
15:17Oh, it's round there.
15:19Oh, dear.
15:21OK.
15:22Time's up.
15:23Wherever you're up to, time is up.
15:25Just stand by your horse.
15:26Joan, will you come back and do some marking for us?
15:29OK, we have Paul.
15:31Let's get back here.
15:33What do you think?
15:34Well, the bridle was put on very well.
15:36Yes.
15:37That's very good.
15:38Excellent.
15:39The girth isn't done up, so that's highly dangerous.
15:41That could be, yeah, dangerous.
15:43But are you going to ask them to get on?
15:45Yes, OK.
15:46You are?
15:47You're satisfied there?
15:48Well, I'm satisfied with that.
15:49Well, there you are, dear.
15:50We'll give a little help here.
15:51Yes.
15:52That might support you.
15:53See, there you go.
15:54Well, we'll make sure that it doesn't fall off.
15:57Oh, well done.
15:58Very good.
15:59Very good.
16:00A good mount.
16:01Well done.
16:02Well.
16:03What about Matt?
16:04A little bit for trying hard.
16:06And I think seven out of ten.
16:07Seven out of ten.
16:08Very good indeed.
16:09OK.
16:10What about John here?
16:12Yes.
16:13Well, the bridle is on.
16:14It looks to be on, doesn't it?
16:15Yeah.
16:16But it's a little bit back to front here and there.
16:17Yeah.
16:18Not too bad.
16:19The girth is done up.
16:20It is?
16:21Yes, fine.
16:22Yes, the girth is done up.
16:23So, shall we see the mount?
16:24So, see if you can get on there.
16:25OK?
16:26Yes.
16:27Away you go.
16:28It looks nice and steady.
16:29Excellent.
16:30Excellent.
16:31Well done.
16:32Well.
16:33Well, what do you think?
16:34The girth is done up.
16:35The bridle isn't so good.
16:36But it compensates.
16:37So, it's two sevens.
16:38Another seven.
16:39Yes.
16:40Very good.
16:41Very good.
16:42Well.
16:43What about...
16:44I'm afraid...
16:45She rides beer back, she said.
16:46Well, I'm afraid you're not going to get...
16:47You're going to have to ride this horse without a bridle.
16:48So, we can't really give you much for that.
16:49No.
16:50You have got the girth done up, I think.
16:51You've got...
16:52No.
16:53The girth's not done up.
16:54Do you think you can get up there?
16:55Do you think you can?
16:56Yes.
16:57Big fellow.
16:58Come on.
16:59Come on there.
17:00See if we can get you up there.
17:01Come on.
17:02Come on.
17:03Come on.
17:04Come on.
17:05Come on.
17:06Come on.
17:07Come on.
17:08Come on.
17:09Come on there.
17:10See if we can get her up here.
17:11See if you can get up there.
17:12I'll hold the horse.
17:13No.

17:15But...
17:16That's it.
17:17There you are.
17:18Well done, dear.
17:19Well done.

17:22That's it.
17:23Good.
17:24Lovely.
17:25Lovely.
17:26So, what do you think?
17:27We're going to have to give her a four for trial.
17:28A four.
17:29A four for effort.
17:30I think so.
17:31Yes.
17:32Well, you want to get down there?
17:33OK.
17:34That's fine.
17:35That's fine.
17:36That's fine.
17:37That's fine.
17:38That's fine.
17:39That's fine.

18:02That's fine.
18:03That's fine.
18:04Yeah, you have.
18:05Well, that wasn't too bad, so I think about another maybe five for, you know, the rest.
18:11Maybe five for getting on the horse.
18:13Yes.
18:14OK, five.
18:15And next thing you have to tell me, don't come back, told me...
18:18Here we are, baby.
18:21Did you, uh...
18:22Ask him if he agreed to the marking?
18:25Did you agree with that marking?
18:27You did?
18:28Good.
18:29He did.
18:30Well, now, where are you going to be for Christmas?
18:32Are you appearing somewhere?
18:33Yes, we are. He's going to appear with Jerry Cottle Circus at Wembley for Christmas, for the Christmas season.
18:40Oh, wonderful, wonderful. Well, we wish you a very happy season there.
18:42Thank you very much.

18:44Yes, you'll get out of the way.
18:45And thank you, Goldie, for coming here and...

18:58There they are.
19:00There she comes.
19:08Now, what's on the board, Miss Ford?
19:10John and Paula have scored 14.
19:12Joy and Graham have scored 9.
19:14Oh, you've got a lot of points to make up.
19:17A lot of points to make up.
19:19But you've got all over.
19:21So if you'll all go over there, if you will.
19:23Over there, that's fine.
19:25Our next game is called Whether or Not.
19:28Now, how easy is it to be a weather forecaster?
19:32Sometimes having to give us bad news,
19:34but always being pleasant to the viewer at home.
19:37Now, that's what we're going to find out,
19:39because now each of you are going to have a chance to be a weather forecaster.
19:44Okay, so you're going to be the first one.
19:46Take the other three round the back there, Rosie.
19:48Make sure they can't hear or see anything that's going on.
19:53You stand here.
19:56Here comes camera four.
19:58That's your camera. You talk right into there.
20:00But look what's on the board as well and describe everything that you can see.
20:04Okay, in your own words.
20:06Your first map is coming up now.
20:11Ladies and gentlemen, here is the weather for tomorrow.
20:15As you can see, up here we're having sun.
20:18That's Scotland.
20:21And some small sun in Scotland.
20:23So if you're going on holiday, I suggest you go to Scotland.
20:28Take your kilts off.
20:30Northern Ireland, there'll be a little bit of lightning, a little bit of cloud.
20:34There we are. Sorry, we've got no time.
20:36On to European outlook.
20:39Okay, all of you. Try and cover all of Europe.
20:41Don't go by sea. There's a lot of gales.
20:44There's a little bit of low pressure here,
20:46and there's some more gales here, so stick in the middle.
20:53There's a little sun down in Italy.
20:56That's Greece.
20:58It's Moose.
21:00Oh, sorry, we have storms in Italy.
21:02Yes, fine.
21:03So take your umbrellas.
21:05Well done. Very, very good.
21:07Lovely. Over there, my darling.
21:09That's Margaret.
21:10And stand that side.
21:12Just here. Good.
21:13There's your camera.
21:15Talk into camera. Describe the weather.
21:17Explain to the viewer at home.
21:18Be pleasant and be nice, okay?
21:20Here you go.
21:21Right, go on. No.
21:25That's the camera. The weather's on here.
21:28You talk about what's on here.
21:33Your time starts now.
21:35Welcome, ladies and gentlemen.
21:37As you can see, in the south today, we're going to have some gales.
21:42In the north, it's just a little bit cloudy.
21:44A little bit of lightning in the Wales area.
21:47As we move up through northern England,
21:49as you can see over York, a little bit of rain there.
21:52Moving into Scotland, very, very hot day in Scotland.
21:56Right. European outlook. Off you go.
21:59Right. As you can see, that's Britain.
22:01In France, they're enjoying some nice weather.
22:04As we move on down into Spain,
22:06they too have got some nice weather down there.
22:09As we move over here, which is very, very high,
22:13very, very warm over there.
22:15And also as we go down here, it's very, very warm.
22:17Where is this?
22:18It's there. It's certainly very warm.
22:21OK. Thank you very much.
22:24Have a good day, if you will. Bye.
22:26Have a good time, my darling.
22:28Just here, you stand this side and look into the camera.
22:31You're going to give them a nice...
22:32You're going to be friendly to them
22:33and tell them what the weather's going to be like tomorrow.
22:35Here we go. Right. Here we go.
22:38No!
22:40No!
22:42Hold on.
22:44You've seen them do the weather forecast.
22:46They look in the camera, but they look at the thing.
22:48You see what I mean?
22:49I was a bit shocked.
22:50Oh, you were a bit shocked?
22:51Don't be shocked, dear.
22:52There was sun on there.
22:59I'll be that shocked. You'll be shocked in a minute.
23:02OK. Here we go.
23:03Weather for tomorrow. Right.
23:05Hello. Good evening and welcome to the weather.
23:08And up here in the north, we have sun.
23:1232 degrees. It's going to be hot, hot, hot.
23:15And down here, oh, there's a bit of rain.
23:18So get your brollies out, girls, and you'll be all right.
23:21Moving down into... I think that's Wales there.
23:24Yes, we have... Oh, it's very cold.
23:27Oh, you'll be shivering.
23:29Get your thermals on and you should be all right.
23:32There we are. European outlook. OK.
23:34Right. The European outlook.
23:36Then, well, I'd stay at home, actually,
23:39because it's not looking very good.
23:42We've got rain here and rain here and a lot of rain down here.
23:46Where is here? Where is that?
23:47I think this is Italy.
23:49Well done, well done.
23:50Yes, good.
23:51I don't know where it is up here, but it looks a bit cold.
23:55Down here, it looks like it's going to be hot.
23:57Very good. Very good.
23:59Over there, people. Come on, the last one.
24:02There we are. Stand at this side,
24:04looking to the camera there and talk to the people,
24:06but look here at the map and describe what's going on.
24:09Good luck. OK. Here we go.
24:11Tomorrow's outlook. OK.
24:16Tomorrow's outlook.
24:17We've got gales coming up from the Silly Bottoms.
24:24With a gale-force wind up the right-hand side there
24:27up to a nice cloudy front on the Wales.
24:30Over in Ireland, there's a lot of thunder and rain.
24:36European outlook. Describe Europe.
24:38Oh, dull. Very dull.
24:40You don't want to go on holiday there.
24:42We've got very sunny in Spain and Gibraltar.
24:45Good, good. Lovely.
24:47Going over to Italy around the Boot and the Brook.
24:50You can't see no Greek islands, but they're there somewhere.
24:53Yes, why not here?
24:54And all around Africa.
24:56Lovely, lovely.
24:57Nice degree there.
24:59Not too sure about that.
25:00Not bad at all. Not bad at all.
25:02OK. Come back forward.
25:05That's it. Come back around the side.
25:07Come on.
25:11There we are.
25:14So now let's meet someone
25:16who does this so beautifully for us all the time,
25:19Miss Suzanne Chalmers.
25:26There you are. Hello, my love.
25:28How are you?
25:29Good.
25:30How are you?
25:31I'm fine, thank you.
25:32Mum and Dad OK?
25:33Fine, thanks.
25:34Give them my love.
25:35I will do.
25:36Well, you're having a little chuckle there, I can see.
25:38Just a little chuckle.
25:39There were a lot of very, very, very, verys.
25:42And a couple of false starts, but after that everyone kept going.
25:46Yes.
25:47And that's the important thing.
25:48That was the important thing, is an exercise in that way.
25:50Yeah.
25:51So first over this side.
25:52Right.
25:53John, very good in his geography.
25:55You've missed out Scandinavia completely, but eight, I think.
25:58Very good.
25:59Eight, very good.
26:00Yes, they never change.
26:02Paula was going to sell you.
26:03You've got a bit of a Barragill technique really.
26:05Definitely.
26:06Barragill was coming out.
26:07But she told us what we needed to know.
26:08But about seven, I think.
26:09Not quite seven in the geography.
26:10Right.
26:11Very good.
26:12Very seven.
26:13Meanwhile, Joy, I think an eight.
26:16You were very good.
26:17You kept going.
26:18And you were in there right at the start as well.
26:19Nice and breezy.
26:20That was really good.
26:21Graham, well, Graham gave York a mention.
26:23It's always nice to mention somewhere.
26:25Yes, you could tell he came from York.
26:27He's whole of Europe and he's talking about York.
26:30It's like me mentioning Manchester the whole time.
26:32It is, you're right.
26:33But I thought seven.
26:34Very well done anyway.
26:35Lovely, lovely.
26:37Anyway, thank you for doing such a lovely job.
26:39That's all right.
26:40And once again, lovely to see you.
26:41OK.
26:42Suzanne Carlton.
26:43Very well.
26:44Well, what happened?
26:45Well, what's on the board, Miss Hawes?
26:48Well, John and Paula have scored 29.
26:5029.
26:51Joy and Graham have scored 24.
26:5324.
26:54Oh.
26:55Well, we lose you.
26:57What a shame that you've been married
26:59since you have a generation game telephone for both of you.
27:01Thank you very much.
27:02And thank you very much for being with us.
27:04And we'll be seeing you in our grand final,
27:06which is coming up very, very soon.
27:08So off you all go and thank you all.
27:10Come on, we're back.
27:14Who's got left, Rosie?
27:16Our third team's from Somerset and Sussex.
27:18They're mother and son, Anne Nicholls and David Hussey.
27:22Right.
27:28How are you?
27:29How are you?
27:30And how are you?
27:31Good, good.
27:32Now, it's Anne Nicholls.

27:34Where are you from?
27:35Yeovil and Somerset.
27:36Oh, Yeovil and Somerset.

27:38Oh, lovely part of the country there.
27:39Now, you're married to Nick.
27:40Yes.
27:41And you look happy.
27:42You're a happy-looking lady.
27:43Tell us about your honeymoon.
27:44Are you still remembering it at all?
27:45Oh, gosh, yes.
27:46Really?
27:47Well...
27:48We had a lovely evening.
27:49We really did.
27:50We really did.
27:51It was so lovely.
27:52Yeah, we did.
27:53I love the accent.
27:54Go on.
27:55And at the end of the evening,
27:57we went across the pub, across the road...
27:59Yes.
28:00..which no-one knew we were going.
28:01And my husband left his camera at the reception.
28:05Yes.
28:06So back he went.
28:07Three hours later...
28:08Yes.
28:09..he comes back, few pints more...
28:11Yes.
28:12..gets into bed, falls asleep till next morning.
28:14I did forgive him.
28:15Oh, that's terrible.
28:16That's terrible.
28:17Yeah.
28:18So let's get this straight.
28:19I mean, he went back from his camp for his camera...
28:21Yes.
28:22..returned three hours later...
28:23Three hours later, yes.
28:24..and then he undressed...
28:25Yes.
28:26..so there was exposure.
28:27Yes.
28:28I mean, I was led there ready,
28:30but, you know.
28:31Oh, yeah.
28:34Well, I didn't ask that.
28:35No.
28:36It's nice to know.
28:37Anyway, he got into bed, dead drunk...
28:39Yes.
28:40..so he was unable to focus.
28:41He was.
28:42And fell asleep until the morning,
28:44so there wasn't even a flash.
28:51Don't be there for this.
28:52Yes, yes.
28:53Now, who would you like to meet most in this world?
28:56Oh, Tom Jones.
28:57Oh, really?
28:58He's always voicing up.
28:59Oh!
29:03Bloody camera five got that in.
29:05Sorry.
29:06We're about two feet.
29:07OK, now, look.
29:08You're going to hear Tom Jones's voice,
29:10but just enjoy my body.
29:16OK?
29:17So just relax and take this all in, OK?
29:19Cue music!
29:20MUSIC PLAYS
29:39CHEERING AND APPLAUSE
29:42What happened?
29:47Well, you can tell I'm a cult figure, can't you?
29:50Tom Jones get panties.
29:52I get corsets.
29:54All these emojis, they're red hot.
30:00You are a good mover, aren't you?
30:02You should have seen Rosie in the back there.
30:04Oh, dear, where are we?
30:05The card's upside down.
30:06I can't keep from laughing.
30:07Right.
30:08Right.
30:10Right.
30:13Yeah, over to you, sir.
30:16But thank you, you're a lot of fun.
30:18You really are.
30:19Now, David Hussey.
30:20That's all right.
30:21Yes, I know your sister, Brazen.
30:24You're engaged to Julie.
30:26How long have you been engaged?
30:28About six years.
30:29Six years?!
30:31I've got to make a note of that.
30:33Needs a good kick...
30:36..up the...
30:37Ah, I see she's...
30:41I see she's a bookkeeper.
30:43That's right.
30:44Yes, yes, I bet she's read a few waiting for you to propose.
30:47Now, whilst you were in the Royal Navy,
30:50you served in the Falklands.
30:52That's right.
30:53Were there any lighter moments to that conflict?
30:55It was after the actual conflict,
30:57I went back down to the Falklands on another trip down there.
31:00Yes.
31:01And I was there posing one day with a penguin.
31:04Oh, a penguin?
31:05Yeah, a steely green.
31:06For the boys to take the photograph.
31:08And unfortunately, the penguin...
31:10..went to the toilet all over me.
31:13It serves you right for...
31:15..picking up a pen.
31:18Anyway, David and Edwina,
31:20OK, if you just wait over there.
31:22What nice people.
31:23Come on.
31:24Oh, dear.
31:26Now, then.
31:27Who have we got left?
31:29Our fourth team's from Worcestershire,
31:31their father and daughter, Keith and Nicky Salisbury.
31:34OK!
31:42No, that's fine.
31:43Now, you're Dorothy Crescent and you live in Salisbury.
31:46No.
31:47Oh, sorry, you're Nicky Salisbury and you live in Dorothy Crescent.
31:50That's right, yeah.
31:51Sorry about that.
31:52Your main hobby is athletics.
31:53That's right.
31:54Where do you do this?
31:55In Birmingham for Birchfield Harriers.
31:57What's your PB?
31:58In my heart.
31:59Personal best, that is.
32:01Wasn't that good, yes?
32:02Yeah, very good.
32:03In my height, sort of, for 1,500 metres, I did 416,
32:06which ranked me...
32:07That's very good.
32:08..in about the top ten.
32:09Yeah.
32:10Have you ever had a false start?
32:11Cos I've had many.
32:12Oh, yeah.
32:16Sorry, Marge, but there we are.
32:18Anyway, over to Keith now.
32:20Is it Keith Salisbury now?
32:21What do you do?
32:22I'm into electronics.
32:23Oh, yeah? What does that entail?
32:24It entails running a small business.
32:25Running a... Oh, so you're both running, I see.
32:27And you're married to Janet.
32:28I suppose she runs the house.
32:29It's all running, running, running.
32:30Anyway, you got married.
32:32Lucky honeymoon.
32:33What does that mean?
32:34Nookie.
32:35Oh, nookie!
32:39It's my new type, as you see.
32:41She's a temp.
32:42She doesn't know how temp she is.
32:44So what happened on the honeymoon?
32:45Tell us about that.
32:46Well, we stayed at a farmhouse.
32:47Oh, nice.
32:48Yes, very nice.
32:49And there was no electric.
32:50Yeah.
32:51So in the semi-dark, we undid the case,
32:53and I took my pyjamas out,
32:55and they were stuffed full of confetti
32:57and sewed at the bottoms.
32:58Oh, no.
32:59So we spent, yeah, we spent most of the night...
33:01Were you sewed anywhere else?
33:02Down the front, yeah.
33:03Oh, really?
33:04Yes, Marge.
33:05I'm going to ask him.
33:06I'm going to ask him, Marge.
33:07Sit down.
33:08Sit down, Marge.
33:10She wants to know what you were doing
33:11taking your pyjamas on.
33:15Anyway, thank you for being here.
33:16OK.
33:17Off you go, Elvis.
33:18There you go.
33:19Where's he going?
33:21Look.
33:23Now, our third game is called
33:25Draw and Score.
33:27Now, this is what's going to happen.
33:30I'm going to give you each the name of a film,
33:33and you have to draw that movie title.
33:36But you can't use words or numbers,
33:39and your partner must guess that film title
33:41to win two points.
33:43Aren't you glad you came?
33:44Yeah.
33:45Right.
33:46Up you come, then.
33:47Up you come.
33:48All right.
33:52Come on.
33:53Come on, move.
33:54Blimey.
33:55That's it.
33:56That's it.
33:57In you go there.
33:58Yeah, well, you should have been quicker, shouldn't you?
33:59Get to the end there.
34:00Get to the end.
34:01Now, under those cards,
34:02you will see your film title.
34:04So just lift the flap up and see your film title.
34:07That's what you've got to draw.
34:09So start drawing.
34:10You've got about a minute.
34:11Starting from then.
34:25And we laugh at kids.
34:28Don't we?
34:29I mean, we really do laugh at kids.
34:50We should never have done this.
34:52Ten seconds.
34:53Ten seconds left.
34:54So finishing touches all the time.
34:56A couple of little squiggles here and there might be help.
34:59Are you doing all right?
35:01OK.
35:02Any time now.
35:03Any moment now.
35:04What?
35:05It's over with.
35:06It's over with.
35:07Right, now come with me here, my darling,
35:09and let me get in the middle of you.
35:10Let me get in the middle of you.
35:12Now, you drew this one here, didn't you?
35:14So there we are.
35:15Anne, have a guess what you think that movie is.
35:19Something of the Wolves.
35:21Yeah.
35:22It was Dances With Wolves.
35:24Bad luck.
35:25You get one point.
35:26Oh, thank you.
35:27Another one point for that.
35:28OK, good.
35:29Now, Anne drew this.
35:32What do you think it is?
35:38One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest?
35:40One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.
35:42Just a moment.
35:43Have you got any idea?
35:45I guess.
35:46Aliens?
35:47What's that?
35:48Aliens.
35:49Aliens.
35:50No.
35:51Gone With The Wind.
35:55Right.
35:58Anne, I'm dying to know.
35:59Just describe it.
36:01Whatever it is, it's bent over and it's blowing off
36:04and it's looking past in its wake.
36:06It was gone with another wind up there.
36:09That's the wind and whatever it was, it's gone.
36:11It was passing wind and it flew away with the wind.
36:15Yeah?
36:20Yes, all right, dear.
36:23Stay over there.
36:24Don't follow me, for goodness sake.
36:26Now, then, who drew this?
36:28Me.
36:29You drew this, so it's up to you to guess what it is.
36:31Silence Of The Lambs.
36:33Silence Of The Lambs.
36:35Yes, Silence Of The Lambs, that's right.
36:38Now, come back here.
36:40Your dad drew this one.
36:41Now, what do you think of that?
36:43I don't know, really.
36:44It's not a Picasso, is it?
36:46No, it's not.
36:47It's almost a Picasso.
36:48I don't know.
36:49You don't know.
36:50Squirrel In The Looking Glass or something.
36:52Squirrel In The Looking Glass, no.
36:53Would you like to have a guess at that?
36:54Is it Alice?
36:55Alice in The Looking Glass.
36:56It's nothing about Looking Glass.
36:58It's Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
37:01Oh, yes.
37:03Another five.
37:05Another five.
37:07Another five.
37:14Right, now, what's on the drawing board, Miss Ford?
37:17Alan and David have scored one.
37:19Keith and Nicky have scored two.
37:21I see, right.
37:23Our next game is called A Bundle Of Fun.
37:26Will you please welcome a Marshman, not a Martian,
37:29a Marshman, born and bred in the lovely county of Norfolk.
37:33Please meet Eric Edwards.
37:40Hello, Eric.
37:41Ah, you're all dressed up.
37:42Yes.
37:43Now, this is how you go out in the fields and do all this thing,
37:45and that's your scythe.
37:46That's what I cut the reed with.
37:47And that's...
37:48It's all handmade.
37:49All handmade with the string around here.
37:51And the craftsmanship is marvellous.
37:53Right, come over here, then, and bring your scythe.
37:55I think that is...
37:56Be careful with it, for goodness sake.
37:58That's it, and put it down there.
37:59And watch this very carefully.
38:00Stay where you are.
38:02This is basically a clean and read.
38:04What you do, you get your rake,
38:07and you keep it nice and close to your leg.
38:09Get a bit at a time.
38:10A bit at a time.
38:11Gradually build it up.
38:13That's it.
38:14As you build it, keep it...
38:17Control your reed with your rake and your leg.
38:19Oh, you control it a bit with your legs as well?
38:21Yeah.
38:22I see, fine.
38:23Just keep your string so you can see your string.
38:24Keep the string.
38:25OK.
38:26Your rake inside.
38:28Get your string.
38:29Get your string there.
38:32Around the bunch.
38:33Put it down.
38:34Let your rake go.
38:35Straighten your bunch.
38:37Oh.
38:38Whack.
38:39Bang.
38:40Grab it down.
38:41Make sure you get all the reed to the bottom.
38:42Yeah.
38:43So is this all nicely bunched up?
38:45Pull your string tight.
38:46Nice and tight there.
38:47Pick your rake up again.
38:49Down on your board again.
38:51Mind your foot.
38:52Just clean your end.
38:53Clean the end.
38:54Put your...
38:56And straight down.
38:58And that's how you tie it.
38:59Isn't that nice?
39:00APPLAUSE
39:03Craftsmanship at its best.
39:05OK, then we'll take the sides with you
39:07and come back and do some marking.
39:09Thank you very much, Harry.
39:10Thank you very much.
39:11Before you come, then, you two, come on.
39:13You can't change your mind.
39:15This is your one here, if you like.
39:17That's it, and your one over there.
39:19Doesn't he look like Paul Daniels?
39:21Yeah.
39:22Are you ready?
39:23OK, you've got about a minute, starting from now.
39:38And she had her hair done special.
39:41We'll show.
39:42That's it, keep stretching away there with it.
39:46That's it.
39:47Try and tidy it up the way you did with the rake.
39:49That's good at the end there, very good.
39:52Excellent.
39:53Yeah, you're shaving that off nicely.
39:55Yes, and that end too.
39:56Paul Daniels is doing very well.
40:00Again, your string is tight.
40:04Try to tie it up and flatten your bottom.
40:07Flatten your bottom here.
40:09That's it.
40:10Yeah, put the string round.
40:11Good girl, that's it.
40:12Hurry up.
40:13You've got ten seconds left,
40:14so make sure you've got your string round it.
40:16And when you...
40:18That's it.
40:21Hurry up, get your string.
40:24Oh, wherever you're up to, stop wherever you're up to
40:27and stand them up at the side of you.
40:29OK, now, Eric, will you just come back and do some marbles?
40:34Come here.
40:38All right, Eric, straight in here.
40:40Oh, look, and it's standing up.
40:42Yes.
40:43What about that one?
40:44Got a knot round it.
40:45Eh?
40:46Got a knot round it.
40:47You got it knotted.
40:48It's not very well drenched down.
40:50No.
40:51At least it's...
40:52It's stable.
40:53It's reasonable.
40:54Yes, it's reasonable.
40:55I think it's worth probably five.
40:57Five?
40:58Well done indeed, well done.
41:00A lot of effort going into that.
41:02Five there.
41:03And look, oh, this is standing up.
41:05Yeah, this is not too bad, neither.
41:07It's got the knot round.
41:08Yeah, you've finished it.
41:09It should have been further down.
41:10Yeah.
41:11But it's standing.
41:12Yeah.
41:13I think I'll give that five and all.
41:14Five and all.
41:15Five and all.
41:16That'll do, well done indeed.
41:18Now then, let's...
41:20You lost your knot, you lost your string.
41:26Well, it's gone now, isn't it?
41:28She tried.
41:29Yes, I'll give her three for effort.
41:31Standing there.
41:32Yeah.
41:33Three for standing there.
41:34It was bigger than her.
41:35Yeah.
41:36It was bigger than her, wasn't it?
41:37Okay.
41:38Oh, this looks a good one.
41:39This one is excellent.
41:40That is excellent.
41:41It's got a good knot in it.
41:42Yes, he had a good...
41:43Got it two inches down and it's been excellent.
41:44That really was a wonderful try.
41:45I should think that's worth...
41:46I was watching him.
41:47He was doing exactly as you showed.
41:48Brilliant.
41:49He kept his time.
41:50He was doing it and it's nice and tight.
41:51I'll give that eight.
41:52Eight.
41:53Very well done.
41:54Very well done.
41:55And then, thank you for coming to see us.
41:57Thank you very much.
41:58A little bit of old England.
41:59Marvellous.
42:01Come back here.
42:02Good game.
42:03Good game.
42:04And now...
42:05Charlie.
42:08What's on the board, Miss Ford?
42:10Anne and David have scored 11.
42:1211.
42:13Keith and Nicky have scored 13.
42:15It's 13.
42:16Oh, my goodness.
42:17Bad luck, you see.
42:18There are...
42:19There are stories in the music.
42:21But you do get a Generation Game telephone for both of you.
42:25He does look like Paul Daniels, though, doesn't he?
42:26Yeah.
42:27He'll disappear.
42:29Anyway, off you go now.
42:30Thank you very much for being with us.
42:32We'll see you later.
42:33And let's remind ourselves of who you'll be playing in our grand final.
42:41And have we got a grand final for you.
42:44Now, all I'll say is that it's a play.
42:46It's French and it's saucy.
42:49OK?
42:50So the accent is very important.
42:52Now, let's have the toss-up.
42:54Toss-up, very important as well.
42:56Heads or tails?
42:57Heads.
42:58Heads it is.
43:00OK.
43:01Heads it is.
43:02So do you want to go first or second?
43:03First.
43:04First?
43:05Get it over with?
43:06Off you go, then.
43:07Get your...
43:08And put these two in an upholstered room of some sort.
43:11Away you go there.

44:22Yes, but who are you?
44:24I am Yvette.
44:25Yeah.
44:26Cetamol.
44:28Yvette Cetamol?
44:30Er, not one of the paracetamols.
44:35What?
44:36I didn't write this.

45:01Go the other way.
45:02Turn round that way so you can read it, right?
45:04Can you read it?
45:05The last time he painted me, he signed his name on the bottom.
45:08Oh, who is it?
45:11It is I, Toulouse.
45:13Toulouse, yes, I've got one up and one down.

47:29Very good.
47:40Very good, that is marvellous, that.
47:42Absolutely, weren't they marvellous?

53:03Come on.
53:05What about it?
53:06Lovely, lovely.
53:08Now, to judge this,
53:10a gentleman you've seen many times on the big screen and small screen,
53:14he had a cup of coffee just before the show.
53:17There's a clue.
53:19Anyway, he's a very talented actor,
53:21Gareth Hunt.
53:23Yay!
53:28Thank you for doing this.
53:29Very good.
53:30Well...
53:31Very good.
