In Microsoft Excel, it is possible to make borders automatically appear as data is added using a feature called "Conditional Formatting". This feature allows users to apply formatting to cells based on specific criteria or rules.

1) Select data section of the table.
2) Home ~ Style ~ Conditional Formatting ~ New Rule...
3) Use a formula to determine which cells to format

6) Border tab
7) Outline

00:00If you want to automatically add borders on your table as you add more records to
00:03your data set like this, this is how you do it. First place your cursor on the
00:07very first row of the very first cell like for example mine will be A2 here
00:12and then press ctrl shift right arrow key. Keep holding a ctrl shift and press
00:17down arrow key twice like this. What it does is selects all the data sets on
00:22column A, B, and C and it looks like that. Once that's done you make sure you're on
00:28home tab here under style conditional formatting new rule and then you're
00:33gonna select use formula click on this formula section and select the cell A2
00:38which is the very first row cell right click on it it comes up like that and
00:42press f4 twice one two and make sure it looks like a dollar A2 as a reference
00:48like this and you're gonna use a not equal to sign by using the less than and
00:52greater than sign and you're gonna put double quote twice like this to indicate
00:56blank. Once that's done click on format make sure you're on borders tab here and
01:01then click on outline okay and okay one more time now every time you add a new
01:08row like for example I've stayed like that you can see that Excel is creating a
01:12brand new border with me whereas I add more records in my data set
