00:00At least 103 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip since
00:05dawn, according to the Hamas-run Civil Defense Agency. 56 people, including women and children,
00:12were killed when homes and tents sheltering displaced families were bombed overnight in
00:17the southern city of Khan Yunus, the local Nasser hospital said. Local journalists said its corridors
00:25were crowded with casualties and that its mortuary was full. A spokesman for the Civil Defense later
00:30reported deadly strikes in the northern town of Jabalia, including an attack on a health clinic
00:36and prayer hall in Jabalia refugee camp that he said killed 13 people. There was no immediate
00:42comment from the Israeli military, but it has been intensifying its bombing of what it has said are
00:46Hamas fighters and infrastructure ahead of a planned expansion of its ground offensive in Gaza.
00:52It comes as U.S. President Donald Trump visits the region, and indirect negotiations on a new
00:57ceasefire and hostage-release deal between Hamas and Israel continue. The streets of Khan Yunus were
01:03filled with funeral processions and grieving families on Thursday morning, following what
01:08residents said were the deadliest set of airstrikes in the city since Israel resumed its offensive almost
01:14two months ago. One video shared by a local activist showed medics laying dozens of bodies on the ground
01:20at a local cemetery. An imam stood nearby, leading prayers for hundreds of mourners gathered behind
01:27him in orderly rows. Other footage showed men carrying the bodies of two small children wrapped
01:32in blood-stained shrouds outside Nasser Hospital, which published a list of the names of the 56 people who
01:38medics said were killed.
