00:00Faced with increasing attacks by militants, especially in Khyber, Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan,
00:06security forces have also intensified counter-terrorism operations.
00:11Hannah Ural's station house officer, Naveed Akhtar, told Dawn.com that the bomb disposal
00:17squad of the security forces was targeted with an improvised explosive device in a Quetta
00:22suburb.
00:23As a result of the explosion, four FC personnel were martyred and three others were injured,

00:32The injured were immediately shifted to Combined Military Hospital, CMH.
00:38The martyred included Subaida Shahzad Amin, Naib Subaida Rabbas and Sepoy Khalil and Sepoy
00:45Zahid.
00:46Among the injured were Lance Naik Zafar, Lainez Naik Farooq and Sepoy Kuram Salim.
00:54Security forces have cordoned off the area and started a search operation for the suspects.
01:00Militant violence and security operations intensified in the country in March, with the number of
01:06militant attacks surpassing 100 for the first time since November 2014, according to a report
01:12by the Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, PICS.
01:17The think tank reported 105 militant attacks during the month, resulting in 228 fatalities,
01:24including 73 security personnel, 67 civilians and 88 militants.
01:30Additionally, 258 people were injured, comprising 129 security personnel and an equal number of
01:37civilians.
01:38Pakistan ranked second in the Global Terrorism Index 2025, with the number of deaths in terrorist
01:45attacks rising by 45% over the past year to 1,081.
01:51Interior Minister Condemns Khetta Attack
01:54Meanwhile, Interior Minister Mohsin Nakhvi condemned the attack in Khetta.
02:00In a post on X, the Interior Ministry said that the minister expressed sympathies and condolences
02:07to the families of martyred FC soldiers and prayed for the recovery of injured personnel.
02:13The FC personnel attained the great status of martyrdom, the post read.
02:20We salute the sacrifice of the brave sons of FC.
02:24The minister also described the incident as a heinous conspiracy by the enemy to create
02:30instability in the country by carrying out such cowardly acts.
02:34The sacrifices of FC soldiers for the establishment of peace in Balochistan will always be remembered,
02:40he added.
