00:00What are you most looking forward to about joining this NBA primetime team?
00:04Well, they did such a good job with Thursday Night Football.
00:07It was a great way to kind of see what ours is going to be like.
00:11For me, the people on our desk are people I've been watching and known for a long time.
00:16So just excited to be with them and learn from them.
00:20Taylor's a true pro, so her sort of hurting us and keeping us in line will be great.
00:26And also just to start to give analysis.
00:28I think sports is always nice to have fresh voices, especially guys who are on NBA teams recently.
00:35Just to sort of give a different perspective because the game changes so much.
00:38Did you ever imagine this for post-retirement?
00:42Not really, to be honest. I didn't really think about it.
00:45But like I said, seeing the Thursday Night Football, how they did that show,
00:49I know Whitworth and he speaks so highly of how Amazon does things.
00:53And I got to know everybody on the Amazon side and realized that it was a pretty special place to work.
01:00What's the best part of our retirement life?
01:02Or the biggest adjustment, too?
01:03Your body not hurting all the time.
01:05Yeah, right?
01:05You know, getting out of bed and not being in pain.
01:08Uh-huh.
01:08It's been nice, though, just to have more time for my kids, family, all that has been nice.
01:14Is it going to be hard for you not to root for your teams when you're doing analysis?
01:18A little bit, yeah.
01:19I mean, I don't necessarily have like a team, but there's guys that I've played with for years, you know,
01:24that I'm still watching play.
01:25And it's like, you know, you want them to do well, but then, you know, also try to not be biased.
01:29So there'll be some definitely like some like under the desk, like fist pump.
01:33Yeah, right?
01:34Well, what would you do now with the Celtics next, right?
01:36Exactly.
01:37I mean, yeah, I played with Celtics and those guys are awesome.
01:40I love seeing them do well.
01:41So the best part about the playoffs has been so many good games, so many good series.
01:46It's been so much fun spending more time with your family, with your kids.
01:50Absolutely.
01:50Just watch.
01:51I mean, I'm basically now just a chauffeur.
01:53We just go all over town on the weekends watching games.
01:57But it's great.
01:58I get like nervous for their games, way more nervous for their games than I did for mine.
02:02So it's fun.
02:04Are you coaching for them too?
02:05I help coach a little bit basketball, but other sports I stay out of.
02:08I'm just there to support and be a dad.
02:10And what are you like as like a kids coach?
02:13Are you like super intense or?
02:14I wouldn't say super intense, but we do try to concentrate on like fundamentals.
02:19I think that's sort of lacking sometimes in youth sports.
02:22And also just making sure that they know that like, hey, like this is not life or death.
02:25Like we're here to have fun and we're here to learn how to be good teammates and learn
02:31like these valuable lessons that sports teaches us.
02:33And you're planning a wedding, right?
02:34I am.
02:35Yes.
02:35Yes.
02:36It's good.
02:37We got a long runway.
02:38So it's been pretty chill, but I'm sure it'll ramp up.
02:41Yeah, definitely.
02:42I'm sure.
02:43And are you like a, not a bridezilla, a groomzilla at all?
02:46No, I don't think so.
02:48I don't think that'll be my role.
02:50Pretty laid back about it.
02:51Pretty laid back.
02:51So.
