00:00Hello viewers! In this video, I'll walk you through how to migrate Gmail data to a Google Workspace account manually.
00:08Many individuals and organizations want to move their personal or business Gmail accounts to Google Workspace.
00:15But before we start the migration, we must prepare the Gmail account.
00:20For that, log in to your Gmail account.
00:23Go to Settings, see all settings.
00:26Forwarding and pop IMAP tab.
00:29Make sure that IMAP is enabled, then hit Save.
00:33Now open a new tab or window and log in to your Google Workspace super admin account.
00:39On the home page, click the Data tab, then go to Data Import and Export and select Data Migration.
00:48You'll now see the new interface for Google Workspace migration.
00:52There are multiple migration options like Workspace, Gmail, IMAP, OneDrive, Teams, Online and Exchange.
01:02We're migrating from Gmail. Click on Gmail.
01:06Step 1. Enter the source Gmail email address and click on Request Authorization.
01:12Now go back to your Gmail inbox and wait for the authorization message.
01:18Click on it and follow the steps to authorize the migration.
01:22Click on the Authorize button.
01:24Choose your Gmail account.
01:26Click on Continue to confirm.
01:32Once done, return to Google Workspace and click on Verify.
01:36Step 2. Select the target Workspace account.
01:39Type the user's email address where Gmail data will be imported, then click Save.
01:49Step 3. Configure Migration setting.
01:53Set your email start date.
01:57I would prefer to migrate from 1st January.
02:00You can also apply filters.
02:03Migrate deleted emails.
02:05Migrate spam.
02:07Exclude specific folders.
02:09Choose based on your preference and click Save.
02:12Step 4. Migration click on Start Migration.
02:18Now you can see progress updates automatically every 10 seconds.
02:28You can also stop the migration anytime or export migration report.
02:36Once completed, you'll see two options.
02:40Run Delta Migration.
02:42Exit Migration.
02:44Delta Migration helps retry failed or newly arrived messages.
02:51As you can see, I have no failed messages.
02:53I'll click Exit Migration.
02:55In the confirmation window, it is mentioned that you cannot view reports and migration data after exiting.
03:02Click the Exit and Delete Migration button.
03:05Now let's check the target Google Workspace mailbox.
03:11The first email is the authorization confirmation, which proves the migration was successful.
