00:00Sabah Deputy Chief Minister Jeffrey Kitingan has slammed Barsan National Chairman Ahmad Zahir Hamidi for describing the Sabah for Sabahans sentiment as a divisive notion.
00:14Kitingan said the Deputy Prime Minister's statement ignores history, distorts the facts, and dismisses the legitimate political will of Sabahans.
00:23He said Sabahans did not need the permission or validation of federal leaders to assert what is rightfully theirs, adding that Sabah was never meant to be a subordinate state, but an equal partner with Sarawak and Malaya in the Federation of Malaysia.
00:38In a statement, he said Sabah has long been treated as a resource colony and that Putrajaya has systematically dismantled the spirit of the Malaysia Agreement 1963, eroding its constitutional position and exploiting its resources while neglecting development needs.
00:57He added that Sabah for Sabahans is here to stay as it is not a temporary political slogan but a long-overdue restoration of truth.
01:05The Party's Solidarity Tana Ayurku president said Sabah's cooperation with the federal government must be rooted in mutual respect and equality, warning that the state will not tolerate manipulation or exploitation.
