00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Houston Betts and this video is all about some of the amazing events that we have coming up this week in Greater Manchester.
00:08Now from exhibitions to food exploration, there's lots and lots to look at, so let's get started.
00:14And we're going to start at Media City in Salford because they're welcoming a new exhibition called Stories Brought to Life, which has been developed by the Frameless Creative.
00:22The show brings famous portraits to life with figures such as Shakespeare, Elizabeth I and Amy Winehouse as well as many more.
00:29The show dives into the history and story of each figure using projections, visual effects and audio narration.
00:35It's the perfect way to take in some awesome portraits as well as learning a bit more about the history of the country and the world.
00:41It started at the beginning of this week and is definitely worth a visit.
00:45And staying with Media City, they also have a city-wide favourite returning this week.
00:49Cargo on the Docks is one of the first events that signals the arrival of summer and it's a dining experience like no other.
00:56With local and independent food vendors staying up on the Salford Quays waterfront, the food stores have made their homes inside repurposed shipping containers.
01:04It's going to be a wide range of cuisines from Mexican to Lebanese as well as an unbelievable range of art from local creators.
01:11It's a great way to support local businesses and local creatives as well as making the most of some of the awesome weather that we've had over the last couple of weeks.
01:18Finally, this weekend is an exciting one for a host of reasons.
01:22The Manchester Craft Beer Festival is in town on Friday and Saturday.
01:25And if you buy a ticket to the event at Depot Mayfield, you get five hours worth of free beers for some brilliant vendors.
01:31The Saturday also sees the final of Eurovision and a number of places in the city are showing the grand final live on cinema screens.
01:38Now, there's more info for that online, so give it a Google if you want to enhance your viewing experience.
01:42But that's all for now. Follow Manchester World for more.
