00:00it was one of those weeks uh smiley and listen when you you got shot 253 he was 31 under par

00:06and like like look we thought that a week like this could happen i know i didn't get to talk

00:12to you last week like even me and keith through we were talking it was like you know this is the

00:16kind of field where maybe scotty is just gonna completely smash everyone and go pillar to post

00:23because he hadn't won yet this year you knew it probably was starting to hear that a little bit

00:29that he hadn't won this year and man smiley he just you talk about domination i mean 253 you got

00:35getting it well i actually went and looked at his stats this year for 2025 because we had talked

00:42you know so much about having the hand surgery coming back being rusty and you know had one yet

00:48so i went and looked at his stats and and pretty much most most categories he's just as good as he

00:54was last year in a lot of places you know approach the green he's in first that's what he was last

00:58year t to green he's fourth but the one stat mike that is the one that blew me away is that he's

01:0425th in putting this season that is an insane improvement last year just to give you a little

01:10bit of a feel for where he was in an eight win season uh he was 77th in putting so to see that he

01:17is 25th uh look out scotty's got some uh good golf coming the rest of the year would be shocked if

01:24he's not uh in and around it and quail hollow in two weeks now you mentioned turn off the tv you know

01:30it's a good thing is smiley they do offer us other things now we can bet who was going to win without

01:34scotty which was an open a market that was we needed by friday night and i i'll just want to mention

01:41this too from from this past weekend at the byron jordan played well uh jordan's finished 19 under

01:47shot nine under on sunday i think it's an underlying conversation for next week because we just saw rory

01:54do this you know and the talk focus is going to be rory the focus is going to be scotty jordan's

02:00playing better golf and he also could do what rory just did a few weeks ago and that's career grand slam

02:06yeah mike we talked about it on the show uh in our episode that dropped this morning and it was

02:11about jordan speed and what do you think of his chances this week heading into quail hollow

02:15and what i thought was super important jordan has talked about it this season is you know he's been

02:22working back from this wrist surgery and also working on getting back to kind of his dna of his

02:27golf swing and at times you know over this entire year has had to play a little bit of golf swing uh out

02:34on the golf course meaning not necessarily just point shoot see the shot that you can uh execute

02:39and go and do it i think at times he's had to think a little bit uh this was a really important

02:44week for him last week as he's you know out at tpc craig ranch a place in which you can maybe

02:49you know work on your swing a little bit not be quite as concerned and as you saw as the week went

02:55on he got better and better and better and then to see him shoot 62 on sunday is huge uh what i'm

03:00looking forward to for next week at the philly cricket club is can he get into contention i think

03:05that's so important heading into a major championship of course you know he did finish top

03:10five but nobody was really in contention at the byron nelson this week everybody was just playing

03:15for second place so philly cricket club big week for jordan speed to try to get into contention to see
