Zoids Saga DS: Legend of Arcadia Gameplay Chapter 5 - Genesis Arc: Ruuji got Murasame back

Zoids Saga DS: Legend of Arcadia is the conclusion of the Zoids Saga series. It comprises scenes from Zoids Saga, Zoids Saga II (released in the west as Zoids: Legacy) and Zoids Saga III: Fuzors. It features upgraded graphics and sound. Additionally, Zoids and story elements from the Zoids Genesis anime have been included.

The game plays like a traditional JRPG with the player controlling characters and mechs from the Zoids titles. Enemy Zoids wander around the overworld and chase you on sight, which takes the player into the turn-based combat system. An English patch for the game done by Traceeytrace in 2022.

The gameplay is the same as Zoids Saga except that Takara Tomy used the DS split screen feature to introduce the radar system. Regina gave him a peculiar device which he wore on his left arm called Arm Retcomm, a radar watch device with map, item locator, trap, and Zoids mining system. Right now, you only have level 1 of these systems, but you will get more upgrade for the device starting from midgame.

After getting metal Zi to upgrade everyone's Zoid's weapon, Kotona came to Zoids Institute and see Ra Kan, Ruuji, and Rei Mii. Kotona greets everyone and notices Atory and his bodyguards. "Who are these people?" she asked which Rei Mii hilariously answered Ruuji the Second and Ra Kan said they're visitor from far away. Rei Mii then asked about the investigation and Kotona said they found a suspicious cave. Ruuji suspects that Murasama Liger is in there which Kotona voiced her doubt but at the same time, said that it's very likely that Murasame will be there. Going to the cave, Garaga here join your party (Garaga here acts like a jealous kid whenever his crush is with someone else. Poor Ruuji). Turns out, Murasame is here and locked in a cage (It's not shown here but very likely). The Bandits saw them and the party has to defeat them first before they can free the Murasame

Now that Ruuji got his Murasame Liger back, seems like Garaga is at it again but this time...he challenged Ruuji to a fight over Kotona (Seriously?? Maji ka yo??). Luckily, Ra Kan intervened before Garaga went too far but still....this duel made everyone worried about Ruuji. Here, Ruuji said that he wants to be strong which Atory can't help but feel sympathy (Is there anyone who can teach Ruuji?). Jack then tells everyone to hurry cause Ron is waiting which the prince obliged.
