Zoids Saga DS: Legend of Arcadia is the conclusion of the Zoids Saga series. It comprises scenes from Zoids Saga, Zoids Saga II (released in the west as Zoids: Legacy) and Zoids Saga III: Fuzors. It features upgraded graphics and sound. Additionally, Zoids and story elements from the Zoids Genesis anime have been included.
The game plays like a traditional JRPG with the player controlling characters and mechs from the Zoids titles. Enemy Zoids wander around the overworld and chase you on sight, which takes the player into the turn-based combat system. An English patch for the game done by Traceeytrace in 2022.
The gameplay is the same as Zoids Saga except that Takara Tomy used the DS split screen feature to introduce the radar system. Regina gave him a peculiar device which he wore on his left arm called Arm Retcomm, a radar watch device with map, item locator, trap, and Zoids mining system. Right now, you only have level 1 of these systems, but you will get more upgrade for the device starting from midgame.
At 5th Floor, the party saw 2 Zoids: Victory Liger and Blitz Tiger standing in front of the stair to 6th Floor. Atory thinks they were enemies at first until the pilot of Victory Liger suddenly ask if he is Athle which shocked the Prince somewhat. "Huh???" Athle shouted in confusion since it was out of nowhere. "Don't you remember me? It's me, Will!" Will said to him but Atory was confused as he didn't recognize Will at all. Regina gives a confused face and tell Will that he must have mistaken the Prince for someone else with the same name. Jack commented that he's riding a rare Zoid but he doesn't seem like an enemy and Ace told the 2 pilots that it's dangerous to wander around the Tower and get out before they get hurt as the place has a lot of dangerous Zoids. Jack told the Prince to keep moving and Atory nod hesitantly. When the party heads up to the next floor, Will was speechless of what just happened. "Hey, Will...(Na....Will)," Zeru tried to get Will attention's. WIll sighs about the situation. "Seems we have been transported from our world to an entirely new one," Will said. Juno came to a realization and commented that this is a different timeline. She mentioned something about colliding with silver silhouetted figure while travelling across time. Will nodded to the statement and mention about hearing Orpis's voice in that moment. Zeru seems eager to travel across time too but Juno stop him. She wonder if it's okay to leave Atory and others which then both Will and Zeru ended up following the Prince and helped him, permanently stay by his side.
The party fight Gard on the other side of 5th Floor, Will (Victory Liger) and Zeru (Blitz Tiger) permanently join the party before the battle, letting you customize their Zoids instantly unlike others
