00:0013-year-old Filipino swimmer with autism spectrum disorder had qualified for a prestigious open-water swimming competition in Dubai.

00:09This comes after Palmer Talino Taray of Davao City successfully completed the first Ocean Man Philippines which was held in Siargao.

00:18Palmer participated in the 2-kilometer open-water swim and completed it in 1 hour and 44 minutes.

00:24The athlete reached a total of over 3.7 kilometers, the fastest distance he has ever swam in a competition.

00:33As the first finisher with ASD, Palmer took the top place in the inspirational category and is expected to compete in the Ocean Man Dubai this year.
