00:00I'm precisely in Venezuela. It's ready for the criminal elections to be held this Sunday, April 27, through the national territory.
00:08In the fourth great popular consultation of this kind, the people will once again be the protagonists. Let's see more.
00:17A demonstration of the participatory democracy and popular power promoted by the Bolivarian Revolution.
00:24Millions of citizens, organized in 53-38 communes throughout the country, are ready to vote for the structural projects to be developed in each community.
00:39The importance of voting in the elections is the participation more than anything else of the communes, of the people who are members of our communes, they are the participants, the guarantors of the projects.
00:49Before the elections, the assembly is held, and they propose together with us, all as a team, we propose the projects.
00:56So the important thing about voting on this day is that the whole commune participates so that the dreams become reality.
01:06Together we make our own projects, we self-manage our own projects.
01:10A significant increase in electoral participation is expected.
01:19Since in one year, $148 million were invested and 14,000 approved projects were built.
01:28These projects have benefited a lot of people, not only here in my area, but nationally,
01:37and I think even internationally because other countries have seen the communal political development
01:42that has been done in Venezuela, which I think is one of the most beautiful parts of this revolution.
01:47This has a direct impact because we are in the territories.
01:56We know the realities, the immediate needs of our neighbors, of the people in our area,
02:01and through the communal councils, the social organizations that are alive in the territory.
02:06We have articulated with the institutions to give an immediate response.
02:1080% of the resources will be transferred from the executive branch to the project supported
02:20by the majority of voters, and the remaining 20% will be granted by the governors and mayor's
02:25offices.
02:25Next Sunday, all the neighbors, on Sunday from 8 a.m., in more than 7,000 voting tables.
02:45From 8 a.m. will be the natural leaders, spokesmen, and spokeswomen of the communal councils
02:50and communal circuits, waiting for you in the voting centers so that each neighbor is the one
02:55who decides with his vote the project prioritized to approve.
03:05To finance it immediately and fix and make your commune beautiful.
03:08To prepare, educate, and raise awareness among the people is also one of the objectives of
03:22the state.
03:22This is the work that the ministry and the planning school do.
03:25They implement training courses for the communal spokespersons in order to strengthen and grow
03:30the popular self-government.
03:31From the camera of Marcos da Silva, Bruno Falci, of Caracas, Venezuela, for Telesur.
