Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem holds requiem mass for Pope Francis
Palestinian Christians and clergymen mourned Pope Francis on Saturday, April 26, with a requiem mass which was held in his memory at the Church of Nativity in Bethlehem on the day of his funeral.
Earlier in the day, the Vatican hosted a massive funeral and humble burial for Pope Francis, who reigned for 12 years.
Pope Francis died at the age of 88. He had suffered a serious bout of double pneumonia this year, but his death came as a shock after he had been driven around St. Peter's Square in an open-air popemobile to greet cheering crowds on Easter Sunday.
