00:00China has denied any plans to interfere with the upcoming elections in the Philippines.

00:05According to the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry,

00:08they have no interest in meddling with Philippine elections.

00:12During a Senate hearing, several pieces of evidence were presented

00:16pointing to the alleged interference by China and support for candidates they supposedly favor.

00:22Included was a contract allegedly entered into by a Philippine corporation

00:27wherein the embassy of China was reportedly involved to provide so-called keyboard warriors.

00:33The National Security Council, or NSC, insists that the evidence is strong

00:38and this has already reached the president.
